Here is my new one for the day:

name the popular Haunted Mansion character that briefly appeared in the Disneyland version who was also created for the Disney World version but never actually appeared in it?

I have searched, but I am not getting a clear answer, and want to make sure I get it right! ( I am still in the lead!!!!)

Haunted mansion is my favorite ride. I've spent HOURS reading about it and I'm pretty fascinated by The HatBox Ghost.

He briefly appeared at Disneyland, but then he was taken out since they couldn't get the lighting right for the effect to work.

They would have also made one for WDW since the parts for the two mansions were actually built at the same time even though the DL version opened before WDW even opened. They knew they'd want one in FL, so they just doubled everything.

There's been talk about a return of The HatBox Ghost. I really hope so.

There were some rumours about it, that it was too scary so it was taken out, etc, and the original HM in DL had a lot of mystique surrounding it since the facade was up for many years before it actually opened, but the truth as far as I know was that the ambient lighting in the room didn't allow the effect to work.

I hope they bring him back. I'm sure with today's technology they could pull it off.
