What a nice dinner at Fulton's. I have to say it's never been on my Disney Radar but after reading about your meals there, it looks really yummy!
Brook, if you go in May your solo trip better extend to when I arrive on the 22nd!! Just saying!!
Or maybe you need to push your trip
back a week!
Congrats on booking your May flights! So lucky that you get to go back again and join in the Dismeet!!
OMG all of the food at Fulton's looks sooo good (and so did the drinks

), you're making me hungry! I love seafood and this looks great. I like to hear about all the shopping people do there...not like Disney really needs anymore of our money but even the shopping done there makes good memories.

And those desserts from Goofy's...WOW! Can't wait to have me some of those. I would have went with the marshmallows too
I was so shocked at how cheap the flights were! Under $200! I haven't seen prices like that in years - that sealed the deal for me!
If you haven't tried Fulton's before and you like seafood, I say it's a must-do. It is a little pricey, but they will do half-orders. I've been going there since it was the Empress Lily - it holds a dear place in my heart.
And choc.-covered marshmallows are the way to go!
You are all so sweet!
I looked up round trip airfare today for May, Minneapolis to Orlando...
$130!!

Sooooooooo cheap!!
Then I looked at my work calendar. My co-worker/partner in crime is out that Friday and Monday and therefore, I
CANNOT be.

I would be able to leave Friday night/Saturday morning and return Sunday night, but even though airfare is unheard of cheap, I seriously don't think I can justify spending that much money for such a short time.
Sigh.
BUT IF MY CO-WORKERS PLANS CHANGE, I'M BOOKING IT!
Oh Brook - that airfare sounds too good to pass up. I found good prices too! Keeping my fingers crossed for a change in plans for your co-worker!
Hi Cammie, I'm a stranger here, but I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying this TR. Your daughter is beautiful, and doesn't seem to have that "teenage" attitude at all! My DD is 8, and I hope she's still as sweet as Lauren at 13! So far we haven't been on any trips just the 2 of us, but I think it would be SO much fun!!
Also, Fulton's looks just ridiculously good. I'm going there next time, and the price be-darned!!! I think I'll give evening EMHs at MK a try, too. It looked INCREDIBLE!!!
Can't wait to read the rest and get more ideas!!!!
Fulton's
is ridiculously good! We love it. And, yes - Lauren is a very good girl. Everyone tells me to just wait - I'll see attitude soon; but so far, so good. Hope you get to take a one-on-one trip with your DS soon - it's very fun and special!
oh don't say that the airfare is that cheap from Mpls to Orlando. Now they will really work on twisting my arm. the big bummer part is that Springfest is that weekend. it is one of the major fundraisers for school and church. I can't shirk my responsibilty. sorry. oh sooo close to a trip.
love those pretzels--i wish I would have known they were part of the
DDP.
Twist, twist, twist, Laura. You may not see airfare like that again for awhile!
My family needs to come better prepared too!!!! We left for NY where it was below freezing so everyone but my dad (he wore shorts which made sense once we got to VA) was wearing pants, and my poor aunt was wearing long johns. It was 80 when we got to disney and at that point everyone (except my dad) was wishing they had there shorts more easible accesible. We thought my aunt (in the long johns) was going to pass out walking around the resort.
Next year we are all going to either wear shorts all the way to Florida or have them all a lot easier to get to once we got there.,
It was my own fault and I could kick myself. I'm sure we would have been much happier too if we were dressed properly. I don't know what my problem was - we went from the car right into the airport terminal; we would have been FINE in spring clothes! I'll remember it for next time!
You all are making me jealous of your DISMeet
When I get a job in the next couple of months that is on my radar....a solo (without family) trip.
I'm convincing myself that I should do a big girls trip every year. Maybe you can make the trip in 2010?
Good for you Cammie, booking your May trip...
I am so glad you post so much about DTD... I have a few must do's for our November trip that I know my boys will love. Growing up 45 minutes from the World, I have always shunned DTD since it reminded me that I wasn't going to Disney that day

And, being a teen, sporting Disney merchandise was so "uncool" unless it was "dress like a tourist" day at school.
Could anyone tell me where Club Cool is located, getting my unsuspected DH to sip a Beverly is also on my to do list...
My girls and I LOVE DTD! We always have it as a schedulled stop during our trips to Disney! It's funny - at Lauren's school now, it's kind of "cool" to wear Disney clothes; she'll wear anything w/Mickey and Tink on it!
Hi Cammie! Sitting here with some wine in my Mickey wine glass enjoying your TR. Figured I should come out of lurkdome to tell you how much I have enjoyed your TR. I make a few trips a year with my DS16. Hubby isn't the Disney fan that we are. But he buys us AP's. So I enjoy the time with my son. He has one more year of school and then off to college so I enjoy the time while I can. I'm sure you can relate with your time with Lauren( who is adorable by the way). Love her blue and red ties on her braces. I work for an orthodontist(two actually, one with patients and one I make retainers for) so I work with the kids in choosing their colors all the time. It makes having braces so much more fun.
Anyway, loving your TR and after just returning from a trip for ESPN the weekend (ESPN is DS's favorite, it's constantly on in my house) I may be inspired to write my own TR.
Cathy
Hi Cathy!

Thanks for coming out of lurkdom! I'm sitting here drinking wine too - but out of my plain boring wine glass. I wish I had gotten the mickey ones!
I soooo dread Lauren getting older! It makes me sad to think she'll be away at college soon and may not want to vacation with dear old mom anymore! Heck, I'm dreading the high school years, wondering how I'll manage to pull her out for a week for our trips!
And I have to laugh about you noticing her bands on her braces. She had chosen red and blue for her last visit in January because the Giants were in the playoffs and we're big fans. Well, we all know what happened there!

She just had them switched this week - chose hot pink!
