It took me way too long to get these completed, but here they are. :thumbsup2 It as been a busy few weeks since we got back, both at home(school starting) and at work(budget season). I will post a few of my favorite shots and a brief recap of each day.

If anyone wants to see the entire 700+ shots, you can go to the entire list here: http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b309/kmhobs/WDW%20-%20AUG-2007/

Night one was just dinner at the Portobello Yacht Club and a little browsing at DTD. Nothing too exciting to report.

This pic needs a little explanation. My mother is a very little eater and the look on her face after this was served to her was too much. I had to pull the camera out to get the shot for her.

My youngest DD really hit it off with the server. Her name is Mariya and she is from Russia.

IMGP2252.jpg

What in the world is this thing???

The first whole day was at Epcot. Unfortunately, the DW got sick and ended up being sick off and on the entire trip (we found out after the fact that a medicine she took just before the trip causes problems with heat exposure and dehydration!). We ate at the Biergarten (my favorite), looked around the WS, and rode a few rides.

NO SILLY ARM!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1: :woohoo:

IMGP2261.jpg

Not too exciting, but I actually eat this stuff regularly and not many people do, so I was excited seeing it. A few days later when we rode again, it had been harvested and was only about six inches tall. It is a great health food if anyone is interested.

IMGP2291.jpg

The middle DD (she reminds us of this often!).

IMGP2302.jpg

I liked the way the sun was creeping through the clouds in this one.

IMGP2303.jpg

My favorite place in the WS... Germany!!! In case you all do not know, I am of German heritage and have a German flag Mickey Mouse icon tattoo.

Hey, there's fewer cats on that shelf now!

From January:

I also took a shot of the Mickey & Minnie to the right but it didn't turn out well.

Nice shots! Thanks for sharing. It's great to see the ball back to its clean-cut glory. :teeth:

Too bad Photobucket is stripping the exif data... :( (I assume it's them?)

The next day was Sunday and we started at AK, rested by the pool at ended up with dinner at the SciFi Dine-In. It was our first time eating there and we were impressed with it.

ROAR!!!

IMGP2386.jpg

I have been trying to get shots of this guy for years and was finally able to get decent ones with my K100D and kit lens.

IMGP2389.jpg

This one was for my DDs, but I was happy with how it turned out. Thank you RAW!!! It started very washed out due to the time of day it was.

IMGP2392.jpg

I'm gonna git ya!!!

IMGP2394.jpg

The Primeval Hurl! according to the DW. I am a thrill seeker and was riding it just minutes later.

IMGP2404.jpg

Peek-a-boo!

IMGP2430.jpg

One of my new favorite rides!!! It takes a good coaster and makes it even better. It reminded me of The Beast, which is a good thing.

IMGP2437.jpg

I think that is it for tonight. More to come as we were there for eight days!

I guess the big guy was hungry!!!

OOPS!!! The missing EXIF is my fault. I was messing with Irfanview the other night and accidentally had the EXIF stripping clicked. I meant to only have the IPTC stripped b/c it sometimes has our kid's names and school names in it and the DW does not like anything going on the net with that. We just got a notice of a child predator within 1/4 mile of our home, so we are a little on edge about protecting the DDs. Let me know if you want the EXIF on any of them and I will let you know what it is.

On Monday we went to the MK and had dinner at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. I did not take too many pics that day. We have eaten there before, but had been stuck way in the back room, so this was our first time getting the entire experience. It was a very fun and tasty meal!

The only characters we saw that day that did not have a line a mile long.

Another favorite of mine from the WL lobby.

Well, I made up for my lack of pictures on Monday with Tuesday's shots.

We went back to the MK and had lunch at The Plaza Restaurant. While there, a Dream Squad manager offered us reserved seating for the afternoon parade!!! Our spot was on the bridge to LS and it was a pretty nice place to take some shots. He also gave us front of the line passes which we used at POC after the parade.

That evening was our princess dinner in Norway, so it was a pretty busy and exciting day.

Not sure what her name is, but she was giving the DW a hard time about the holes in her shoes(Crocs).

This one was from the POC with my MF 50mm F/2. Now that I have the FA 50mm F/1.4, I cannot wait to go back.

IMGP2674.jpg

The pics from the princess dinner are some of my favorite due to the oldest DD actually getting in a shot. She usually ducks away when you point the camera her way.

This was the last night that my parents were with us. They had to head back to KY the next morning.

Kevin

I"m enjoying your pictures. Your daughters are beautiful. I love the shot of your youngest on the TTA. The deer shot through the little hole is great. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you.

On to Wednesday. We were getting pretty worn out at this point, so we did a little resting during the early afternoon sun. In the morning I took the little ones to MGM and took the youngest on ToT for the first time. She liked it and wanted to go again. We spent a little time over at Epcot as well before ending up at Raglan Road for dinner. I was not impressed with the seating arrangements, but the food was very good. we finished the night out with some swimming.

Very nice Kevin- Looking forward to seeing some more. :)

Thursday was supposed to start with a 9:00 breakfast at Boma, but nobody heard the alarm until 9:05! Luckily, they go us in at 10:30, so all was not lost. we went over to Epcot after that and stayed until close. We rode the remodel of the ride in Mexico and were not impressed. I managed to get the DW on the intense side of Mission: Space, which is a real feat for her.

I had to take advantage of being over at AKL and take a few shots.

IMGP2830.jpg

IMGP2841.jpg

We did not get to see everything on our first trip over to the Living Seas(or whatever they are calling it now), so we went back for a little time. We saw Turtle Talk for the first time and it was great.

IMGP2844.jpg

IMGP2854.jpg

The line was long, but we waited for the character shots. I was completely unimpressed by the Photopass results. It was tough for them to miss the exposure with the external flash, but they were not so hot on the framing.

IMGP2862.jpg

IMGP2865.jpg

IMGP2869.jpg

Pluto forced me out from behind the camera. The really funny thing is that the Photopass guy took better shots with my camera than with his.

IMGP2876.jpg

IMGP2879.jpg

The middle DD was persistent by waiting through two shows and was finally selected by the candy maker in Japan.

Great photos!! My dd is alos excited about seeing the "Candy Lady" - we missed her 2 years ago, but I've heard she creates some very unique animals!
Thanks for sharing your trip with us!! I'm starting my countdown dance!!:woohoo:

Great shots! Glad you had a good time.

FWIW, I believe the candy lady's name is Miyuki... and that her father used to do it there before she did. IIRC, there's only like 20 people or so worldwide who do this candy art...

Unfortunately we missed her last trip, we only saw her once right as she was packing up. :( The year before we watched for a while, I took some so-so video with my old point-n-shoot of her at work.

Great pictures--what beautiful daughters you have. Looks like you had a great time!

Ok....so WOW!!! Great shots Kevin!!! Not to be overly cheesy, but those are really inspiring for me, seeing as how we have pretty much the identically same equipment, it gives me something to shoot for some day. What I was REALLY impressed with was the saturation and the color of the sky pictures!!! Do you use a filter at all or was that just really great exposure? Knowing you, it was probably just good eye and good exposure. Anyway, GREAT photos!!!!

Thank you. I used a CP on some shots, but I cannot remember exactly which ones. Some of the deep color was brought out in PP. Most of my shots were with the kit lens, but I also used the other two lenses for a few shots.

There are two more days for me to get posted. I am going to try to get Friday posted right now, but then I think it is off to bed.

Kevin

And now Friday number two. We had been there a week and everyone was really starting to wear down. Me and the middle DD (another hardcore trooper like me ;)) went to the MK that morning. We saw the Laugh Floor and it was great. Absolutely no photography in it and they were seriously enforcing it. They were telling people to put away their cameras in the line. We did a little more in Tomorrowland and Toontown before going back for a little rest before Fantasmic that night.

Toontown

IMGP2993.jpg

Not the greatest, but I like it. I was trying to get a slow enough shutter to show our motion while not being blurry from being bumped around.
