have any of yall gotten this and has this happened to any of yall before?

yes, it says that all the time..don't worry about it unless you are a party of 10 or more

It always says that on all of our ressies. We've only been seated at more than one table when we eat at the Plaza, but even then it's been 2 tables right next to eachother, and we're a party of 8-9 (depending on the year.)

wow thanx! i guess today is the first time I noticed, must be 3 cups of coffee I had at IHOP, lol! its only four us so we'll be ok

That disclaimer has even turned up on reservations for 1. Unless you have a large party, don't worry about it.

We did a GG with 14 a few years ago and the only places that actually split us up were Mama Melrose and RFC @AK. Even CRT was able to put us all in a row.

I had the same thing on one of mine.... 50's PT I believe.. and wondered if they just had small tables for small parties and saved the larger ones for bigger parties. Our ADR was set for 3 people although only 2 of us are going after all.

I also received it on SOME of my ADRs for my next trip but not all. I'm not too worried about it because of the great response on this thread (thanks for that by the way!) and I was just so excited to get some of the ADRs :rotfl:

I booked hdd for 5 of us -3a & 2yo & 1yo and it told me the same thing. I was a little concerned about it since we have very small children with us. Guess i wont worry about it!

The only time my party has ever been split into seperate tables was at the Rose and Crown Pub. We were seated at back to back tables--but they were both outside against the rail and we were there during Illuminations, so it worked out great!

That is happening when I looked for 50's on 11/17 for 3 adults. It gives me a 11:45 am but could be at seperate tables. I took the 12:15 pm instead :)

We went last Sept w/ a Grand Gathering of 9 and were told the same thing. We were seated TOGETHER at EVERY restaurant that I made ADR's at w/ the FREE DDP. It shouldn't be a problem

It is a disclaimer. Easier for them to have it on every reservation. If they end up with more large groups than they have large tables, they may place you are 2 physically separate tables. You may end up at 2 tables that are next to each other, but may be separated by an aisle. That type of situation. They will do their best to ensure that your entire party is seated together, but want to make sure that you know your party may be at 2 tables.

To the PP asking about her family of 5, they won't split your group up if it is 2 parents with 3 kids. Not gonna happen. Your wait may be a touch longer til they find a table that can accommodate you, but they won't split you up.

We are a party of 5 and have made 9 ADRs and only one for Boma gave us the 2 table disclaimer. I was trying to rearrange that ADR, but after reading this thread, I think we will take our chances for being at one table.

Thanks

We've been given that message several times and have never been separated (party of 5 or 6) but we have young kids so that may have influenced it.

I just made my first online reservation at Boma for myself and six children. I was a bit concerned about the separate table thing. I would hate to have to go eat elsewhere because they couldn't seat us together.

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you... that is just a disclaimer to cover themselves if they need to........ but you know they would never split up a parent and children.

Last year, we were seated at 2 tables - party of 6 - at Coral Reef. The tables were across the aisle from each other, but we had two different servers so we got 2 different bills, service was not the same (food came at different times), etc.

How big is your party?

I've seen this on reservations for parties of one.

If you have fewer than 6 guests I do not think you need to worry about it at all.

It's even less likely with parties of 6 than with parties of 8 or more.

We had that on several reservations for our party of 3 last year. I thought it was odd but didn't worry about it. Now I see it is somewhat common.

Next year there will be 7 of us for a few meals ... guess I should expect to see that disclaimer and possibly be put at tables near one another.
