Hi there. I made my ADR today for me, dh and our 19 month old. :Pinkbounc I kind of waited til the last minute as we leave next week so did not get a lot of my first choices. Also wanted everything around 5:15 ish so that narrowed it down as well.

Please have a peek at our list and LMK if any of these are bad choices (esp with a toddler!!)

they are all dinners around 5:30

day 1 - Biergarten
day 2 - San Angel Inn
day 3 - Spoodles
day 4 - cape may cafe
day 5 - kona
day 6 - boma

Thanks for any and all comments!!

I think you and your husband will really enjoy Biergarten. My GF, Dad and I ate there on our last trip and it was incredible. Lots of food, live entertainment, and HUGE stiens of some of the most delicious beer in Germany. However, not sure how much your little one will enjoy it. I dont really know what a 19 month child eats, but the food is pretty authentic, and may be kinda scary to a younger, more particular eater. However, there is so much food available, that you are bound to find something he'll enjoy.

San Angel Inn, I will never even consider eating at again. The one thing, in my opinion, that resturant has going for it is atmosphere. On my last trip (Jan 06) my GF had ADR's there, and still ended up waiting an hour for our table. The service was poor, and felt rushed, and I did not find the food at all impressive (but I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food to begin with). Maybe this was just a fluke, as they were likely having a busy/bad night, but I didnt care for it.

As far as your other resturants, I havent been to any of them, though my GF and are planning to go t Kona when we return in Sept.

Biergarten - never been

San Angel Inn - I like the lunch, but am not crazy about the dinner. Great atmosphere, however
Spoodles - never been

Cape May Cafe - decent buffet. Sometime the salmon seems overcooked, but what can you expect from fish that has been sitting under a heating lamp?

Kona - never been for dinner, but have heard it is great. I love Kona for breakfast. Probably my favorite breakfast in WDW

Boma - never been, but again have heard it is great depending on your tastes.

Have fun, and let us know how the meals are.

Here you go

day 1 - Biergarten - great German food - check when the entertainment starts. You will sit at a long wood table with other families - but you eat your own food (no sharing :rotfl: ) Kids can get mac & chees, chicken, and hot dogs (but I would say no hot dogs for a toddler - choating hazzard)

day 2 - San Angel Inn - very nice atmopshere - next to the river ride, makes you feel like you are in a cafe in Mexico. Most of the food is Mexican style. For the kids, the only item which is not Mexican is Chicken Strips.

day 3 - Spoodles - great place for dinner, nice kids menu - afterwards take a walk on the boardwalk- get dessert on the boardwalk (ice cream, cookies from the bakery), rent a bike to ride around on the boardwalk, see EPCOT fire works from the bridge between the Boardwalk at Y/BC resorts.

day 4 - cape may cafe - wonderful, delicious. Beach Club Characater breakfast is a blast. The dinner is just as delicious - kids can color on the paper table clothes with crayons (bring some of your own). lots of choices for the kids to eat.

day 5 - kona - yum - Walk around the lobby of the Polynesian and take some picture with a tropical background. The beach is also a nice place to walk around and take pictures (no swimming in the lake). They Polynesian has a cute gift shop too. Lots of Lilo & Stitch items.

day 6 - boma - an adventure in food. There are both Amercian and African dishes (they are labeled as what they are - has in them). Let your mouth experience wonderful flavors - the Chefs also answer any questions. The dessert area is very large - have a zebra dome (white with chocolate stripes).
Again lots of choices for kids to eat. After you eat, go upstairs and walk out to the Animal viewing area - off the main lobby. There are binoculars (50 cents to view I think) you can use. There may also be a story telling time - check with the front desk.

ENJOY and have fun. The resorts as a fun to walk around as the food is to eat. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone I was just getting ready to ask about the kid's menu at Biergarten. I also have Kona on my list, it sounds yummy :thumbsup2 .

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

You guys rock :)

I had actually just decided that I don't want to do 2 days a Epcot with a toddler so wanted to eliminate one of the epcot dinners - sounds like san angel will be the one to go.

She should be ok with just picking at whatever we eat. She eats anything that we eat at the moment so we dont normally get her a kids menu or anything like that. She likes spicy stuff, noodles, rice dishes etc.

Hmmm Now I have to pick something to replace san angel with on day 2..... decisions decisions :)

You don't have any character meals listed. How about Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom with Pooh and Friends or 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella and Prince Charming at the Grand Floridian ?

Chef Mickey's is also a good choice, but seems to be a lot louder (to me) than the other two suggestions.

I think you made a wise choice choosing Biergarten over San Angel. princess:

I am going next week and the only character meal i could get was 9:30 pm!!
