My add-on contract shows up as "null" on member website

When I check on my points on the DVC member website, it lists our first contract at SSR with the contract #. The add-on has its own contract # as well but the home resort is listed as "null". We've closed, so does anyone know why it still shows up like this? Will this be the case permanently? Should I talk to someone at MS about this?

Thanks.

Welcome, fellow "null" resort owner. It's been like that since FEBRUARY!! Excuse me for shouting, but you would think this would be a very easy thing to fix. I wonder if MS's reservation system shows it the same way because any time I call to do something with my AKV points, the MS CM's first reaction is "but you don't own any points at Animal Kingdom Villas. Oh wait... there they are." Makes me wonder if they have to remember to look for the contract at the "null" resort.

I also own at "null". Maybe it is the code name for AKV. MS always knows that I am an AKV owner, though. They have told me that it will remain null until after the closing date. That date is listed on the first page of your purchase agreement. Our estimated closing date was AUg 22, and it still says null. Maybe it will take a few more days.

Mine also say's null:rotfl2: . I don't close until October so I figured I wouldn't panick until after closing which is October. Maybe we are null until our actual ownership is available, which for me is December 1st. Susan

Hey, I am a founding member of the 'null' resort!

I have heard that the next DVC resort is going be called 'void' so that if you own at both and someone asks you where you own, you would reply, "Why I own at the null and void resorts!"

Thanks for the replies - glad I'm not alone. I guess I'll ask today when I call about why it's showing up this way and when I can expect it to change.

Thanks!

Ex... pect it to change? Do you think that it will change any time soon?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but others have said that they were told it would show up correctly when the contract has closed. Ours has closed. That's why I'm wondering, if that's the real reason, when I can expect it to change to show AKV as our home resort instead of null.

Good one! :lmao:

"null" means "no value". It's the result of a software or database query bug, or missing data in a database. It has nothing to do with you being a new owner at AKV -- I've owned there since February and my contract info still shows "null" instead of "Animal Kingdom Villas". I did report this months ago, but it has still not been fixed, even though I imagine it would not be difficult to correct.

By all means, report it to MS and see what they say. Your post has inspired me to send off another email about this as well.

You know, even on the countdown, AKV is not listed in the drop down menu. Lisa is right, I don't think that AKV is in the data base of dvcmember.com. It would take less than a minute to add it, I am sure.

We are members of the "null" resort too. It really bothers my DH that it continues to say null. I know where we own and we have the paperwork to prove it. It does not bother me. He even called MS and they told DH that it shows up as AKV on their site. ????? Go figure..

I emailed DVC and this is what they said to do:

Please follow the below information to update:

My Membership tab
Select "Profile" from left navigation bar
Select "Update Site Registration" hyperlink in the first paragraph
Select AKV from "Personalize My DVC"

SO I did this.......and it still says null!

I have no idea why they told you to do this?? It has nothing to do with the problem. Oh well. I also emailed MS and got a response that they would pass the bug report along to the IT group. Perhaps the next time they update the members' website, they can fix this little bug as well.

I emailed them back. They got back to me and said the same thing.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

So... wonder which one is the void resort - california or contemporary???

We're in the process of adding on at the null resort too. I was thinking it would change after closing, but maybe not?

Same here with our AKV. I was told by MS that it may be because the use year hasn't really "started" (Sept '07 UY).

They didn't sound overly confident with this theory, and our SSR showed up as soon as we were in the system. Then again, when we bought SSR, we received the prior UY points (joined early '06, and got Sept '05 UY points). Maybe that trumped it.

Another "null" here! I thought it was because when I signed on to the DVC website for the first time I didn't pick/choose my home resort as it was not one of the options(AKV).
Also when do your annual dues start showing up on the website. I'd like to pay them as I have a Sept UY and don't want to be late!

Another "null" here and my use year (Aug) has already started. Originally, I thought that it was because I hadn't closed but I closed at the end of June and I am still null.

I am new at this, but i believe that our dues will start either at our use year, or the date our unit opens, whichever is later. I have a June uy, and am in unit 40 which is scheduled to open September 1. I assume my dues will start disappearing from my account sometime around Saturday.

If i am wrong, someone let me know!

Founding member of the "Null Resort" Oct UY. My dues have shown up and I have paid them. :surfweb:
