That is so neat to see pictures of DTD from TODAY! Thanks sooo much for taking the time to share your experiences with us. I just read this whole thread today and subscribed! We will be in the World June 19-24, so please let me know if I can look you up! I'm a first grade teacher and I think this experience will be so valuable for you...how fun!

well..I'm not even checking-in until Friday so that means I won't be out actually working in the park until maybe 2 weeks after that. They really take the time to classroom train their PIs to make sure ALL correct info is given. Now as far as the scripts go..I might have to "test" to be able to do those and might be out sooner but I don't think I'll be "outside" while you're there

It really was a nice treat getting to see pictures from Downtown Disney. I have never seen it during the day. We always tend to hit in the evening after we are done with the parks and it is always so crazy.

wishing you lots of luck!!!!!!! i'm so jealous seeing the DTD pics, i always make a point to go over there a few times when I travel to Orlando on business (twice a year) and I always just hang out and people watch (and eat at Earle!!!!). i love it down there. i miss it! how will i manage to wait a year and a half to go again? til then, i'll live through you!!! so i really love all the pics you post. keep it up.

I guess we will miss you then. We'll get there on June 28th and will leave July 7th, so it looks like most of that will be training time for you. If you do end up in the park before the 7th, let us know. We'll be somewhere on Disney ground and would love to come by and say hello.

I see that Stitch made it back to the top of World of Disney. Several people recently had reported and shown pictures of him being missing in (spitting) action. I guess he was out being spruced up.

Have fun! Enjoy your time with friends before you get busy with work. The Toy Story Mania card is cool.

HI DIS!!!!

I have to get up in less than 7 hours so I won't be writing forever. I just wanted to check in and say hi and give you a little view of what the past 24 hours have been like.

As you know, we moved into our townhouse yesterday. I had plans to get up and lay at the hotel pool, have some lunch, and meet the girls at 1. Roomie Erin got the code for our lock box and called me at 9:30 and told me to come over and I could get started so I dropped my plans, grabbed chicfila (which I never ended up eating) and headed to our house. I was nearly done when roomie Meghan and her dad drove by (early but to check the area out) and she also unloaded. Katie came right before 1 so we went to pay our rent and moved everything in.

Needless to say it rained an hour later so had we all moved in at 1 we would have got caught in a bad thunderstorm. It took me about hm...4 or 5 hours to unpack and organize everything (I like structure in my house!).

We encountered several issues: no cable, no internet, scratches on the walls from not being painted, dirty sofa, the one lock on the hot tub was broken, etc. We wrote everything down and it should be fixed by Monday.

They claim they are having cable issues and it will be resolved but I think I may ask for some $ back if it isn't up by Monday. It's crazy that we are paying 400+ a month each and don't have cable. Today we FINALLY got the internet working (thank goodness). We thought the ethernet was plugged into the wall and it didn't need to be and well we figured it out and now we're online!!!!!

Last night after the storm, Meg and I went to walmart and sams club and bought out the stores lol. Her dad took us to Applebees for dinner and when we got back we took a dip in our hot tub which was not too hot and not too cold (in my opinion). Erin joined us when she got home from work and Katie didn't get home until late so she didn't. It was a really really long day but I was totally 100% unpacked that day which was great!



Today was a fun day. I got up at 8:30 and went to walmart to get my nails done at 9:30. I got some things I missed the night before and headed back to my apt. I met up with my old cp roomie Shelley and her and I went to Pizza Hut buffet for lunch. We then went to my house and picked Meg up and went to the FL Mall and took Meg to DTD (never been before) and we took her to Goofys to make some sweet treats. Myself, Shelley, Meg, and my old cp roomie Elyse went to Olive Garden for dinner. Meg, Elyse, and I went to Poly afterwards to watch WISHES!!!!!!!!. It had rained and stormed TONS from like 6-8 and cleared up! We got the Dole Whip Ice Cream at Poly as we watched Wishes!!!

We came back at 10:30ish and I jumped in the hot tub for 15 mins and well here I am!!



Tomorrow is check-in at PI in DTD. I'm sure I'll update tomorrow night. I'm in the process of loading pics but as you know that isn't don't in an instant so it might take a few days for me to get them on here. I'm loading them slowing on Facebook right now.


Thanks for all the replies, I have read them and will *try* to respond tomorrow. I'm not sure if we're going to get our park IDs tomorrow or not..if we do...I'll be at a park...if not...I'll have time to post!!!!

It is really interesting reading this thread and great to hear you are having a great time Looking forward to reading your Disney exploits and getting a bit of background into how Disney does things.

Great to hear you got settled in the townhouse - we have been told the cable will be up and running again in the next few days too (issues with Brighthouse!) Glad you listed the few things to the management company as I'm sure they will get it all sorted pretty quickly - they are usually very good. These homes, so far, have all been short term rental properties so they will have a bit of 'wear & tear' as unfortuantely not all guests treat them well (we have been lucky on that score!) but everything is easily fixed by the management company.

Can't wait for your next installment
