My 11 year old thinks I'm nuts!!

I thought yall could appreciate this story.

Yesterday, I accidently ran over a chipmunk on my way to work ( I know very sad........i felt awful all day). Anyway, this morning I was telling my 8 and 11 year old DS's about it and I said I sure hope it wasn't Chip or Dale and my eight year old says mom.....they aren't real. So I said.........Oh yes they are real! Well my 11 year old rolls his eyes and looks at his brother and says..........In her disney mind they are real.

Ghheeeez..............I really miss those days when they believed in the magic. Well, at least my 3 year old and I still know they are real.

LOL Sounds like something my 11 yr old DD would say. At least my 15 yr old DD has a grip on reality. She knows they are real too.

My 6 yo DD doesn't think the costumed characters (Mickey, Goofy, Donald, etc) are real .... they're just people in costumes .... mainly because they don't talk to her. The princesses, however, are the real deal. I'm glad she believes in some of the magic!

Sorry about the chipmunk...they are cute I am sure you were upset and I checked for you..Chip and Dale are both in 1 piece and are making appearances as we speak at MGM, MK, AK and Eocot!!!

Yep., those 11 year old boys are a unique breed. We discovered tonight that my DS 11 and I have a very different idea of what be home by "dark" means . Not sure if it gets better or worse!!!
