MVMCP vs Jollywood Nights?

If you had to choose one party to attend, which would you choose? I’m going back and forth about it.

Group of 4 adults are going for a week in December. We currently have tickets for MVMCP, but are considering Jollywood as it seems more geared towards adults. We’ve never been to Jollywood, but 2 of us have been to the Christmas party once and loved it. My only hesitation is that MVMCP seems like more “bang for your buck” considering you get free cookies and beverages. And you can be in the park longer than Jollywood from what I’ve read.

Is Jollywood worth the price for what you get? I’d appreciate any input.

I would stick with MVMCP - I agree, it's a bigger bang for your buck and I think the party offerings (shows, parade, fireworks) are far superior to what Jollywood has to offer. We went to Jollywood the first year it was offered and it was a complete bust.

I have read that the first year of Jollywood was pretty bad, but that it has improved substantially since then.

OP, I am going to MVMCP next month. The main reasons I chose it over Jollywood are the fact that I like MK more than DHS, and that all refreshments at Jollywood are an extra cost (and not necessarily a low cost). I know that cookies and cocoa doesn’t sound like much, but for an evening event where we have already eaten our evening meal, it’s just enough to fill that need to snack. If I preferred DHS over MK or if I didn’t care about having any refreshments, I might have picked Jollywood. I think Jollywood has a solid entertainment lineup and is more adult oriented (we have no children in our travel party). I think the overall atmosphere would be equal to MVMCP but different since it’s aimed at a different demographic.

I don’t think you can go wrong with either choice. If you know you like MVMCP, and the rest of your party hasn’t experienced either one, I would suggest sticking with MVMCP for this trip and trying Jollywood another time.
