MVMCP Night and Dining in the MK (not a dining question, really)

Long way around about this.............

I really lean heavily towards saying the cost of the ticket is not worth it for MVMCP, yet I already have tickets for 2 parties. :sad2: One we planned for rides and characters and the other for rides, the parade and fireworks.

For one party, on December 6th, I have a dinner reservation at 5:05 PM at Be Our Guest. I prefer lunch over dinner (and I have a reservation for that as well on a different day), but I booked dinner for my sister who has never seen the inside of that castle and she wants to try dinner there. I want a table for 2 on the 29th of November, but there is nothing. As that is a party night, I am not expecting anything to open. (I do keep trying, however) I have been to MVMCP many times and I have also done Be Our Guest lunch and dinner quite a few times, but am trying to squeeze in as much as I can for my sister.

Now that the background is out of the way... onto the heart of my question:

I am guessing dinner will take anywhere from 60 - 90 minutes. If it were you and you knew you may not get out of dinner until 6:30 on a party night, would you still do the dinner or pass on it to get in line for characters? (such as dwarves or princesses where the lines tend to get really long)

My sister is leaving the decision up to me and I am so torn. Maybe you fine folks could give some feedback/thoughts I did not think of on my own??

Because it will be your 2nd Party night, I think you'll be able to enjoy dinner and enjoy the parade and fireworks. There's more than enough time after dinner to find a good spot for fireworks and then the second parade. You'll still be able to fit in a few rides or the Castle stage show.

For the 1st party, arrive at 4:00 and plan your attack for meeting characters and riding the rides.

We did this last year and it had turned night time when we left Be Our Guest and was so less crowded from when we had entered. As much as we love BOG I felt like we had lost precious park time since I had paid for extra party ticket. With that being said dining options are very limited on MVMCP nights and you are going to be there late so might as well have that dinner.

That is what I am concerned about. I don't want to feel like I wasted money. :(

Maleficent, because you will feel it is taking time away from the 2nd party, you should reschedule or just make sure your sister tours every room of BOG during your lunch.

Dinner at BOG is nice, not great, and you won't enjoy it knowing that you have paid the price for two parties - and missing an hour or so of one. Will your sister be okay not meeting Beast?

Don't eat during the party or eat when you're allowed to enter the park from 4-7.
