MVMCP - Is it worth the extra money?

The same special Christmas parade, fireworks, decorations, Christmas characters and snow on mainstreet are all available to guests outside of the party at Christmas time also. You do get cookies and cocoa though so there is that! :duck:
True- but only applies AFTER the last party, which this year is Dec 18th.

The paradecand fireworks are available to regular guests Christmas week and a day or two before. Plus the parade is during the day, which isn't as beautiful.

We are only in Disney for 4 days, so we have a 3 day park hopper and then tickets to MVMCP. We will enter MK at 4pm and use this as our only Magic Kingdom day. We won't be doing meet-and-greets, but do want to see the parade, Wishes, and the two holiday shows (castle forecourt and tomorrow land). Will there be enough time for us to ride attractions and actually feel like we have been to MK, or will the holiday events eat up most of the evening?

I have the offical Christmas thread started where we have info impressions and reviews of last years!

I would say if you never did it you have to experience it at least once

If only had 4 days I couldn't imagine not going into a park until 4pm one of those days. For $30 I would add a day to your park hopper. You can sleep when you get home.:teeth:

We did something similar -- no meet and greets -- castle show, fireworks, second parade and attractions. We were able to get eight things in staying till midnight and this includes eating dinner (counter service at Casey's after Anna and Elsa castle show -- very crowded). We like to check out Main Street USA shops so hit those at midnight and stayed till 1:30 a.m. after attractions closed. // We actually got all our must dos in, but it felt a little rushed.

Attractions we hit -- before castle show -- Splash and Big Thunder Mountain // Before second parade Peter Pan, Small World, Mickey's Philharmagic, and Pirates (7DMT line still too long), after fireworks and second parade 7DMT and two rides on Space Mountain -- last one right before midnight.

Nope, I know us. We are good for 2 park days, 10AM until close and then maybe off to a bar for a nightcap, before we hit the wall. Besides, we are leaving WDW for 3 nights in NYC on our way home, so we're pacing ourselves. I think that we might hop over to MK after our AK day and dinner at Boma, to knock off a few attractions and see MSEP.

Thank you so much everyone for sharing. We always do January trips to WDW. Considering November 2017 for our next trip....I had no idea what MVMCP was. I'm not sure that I think it is worth it....so my question is if we are NOT going to the party, should we avoid MK on party day altogether? It is my understanding that party-goers get in the park at 4:00 so this would make MK even more crazy busy, right? So perhaps we should shoot for going to MK on a non-party day? Any difference? Thanks!

Actually, party days are great days to go to MK because most people don't want to go on days with shorter hours and no nighttime entertainment.
