MVMCP...Anyone know if they run the riverboat?

I know they do during the Not So Scary Halloween Party, can't remember if they do for the MVMCP or not.

The Riverboat has not run during the MVMCPs that we've gone to. They usually use the docking area for picture taking. Tom Sawyer Island and the Hall of Presidents is closed as well.

Yes the Riverboat does run for the MVMCP. They started running the boat about 2 years ago for both the Christmas and Halloween parties. It is really a nice ride. They do not do the daytime speil for the boat, they have Christmas Carolers on board and it is all decorated for the party

Thank you Libertybelle. I also thought the same as James D. I remember people standing in hot costumes out front sorta blocking where you would walk to get on - and they would be singing xmas music.

I am glad to know that they do. It seems like it would be relaxing to do for a change..

That's interesting, but I'm looking at a brochure from last year's party that states the only attraction open in Liberty Square is the Haunted Mansion!

The riverboat was running last year when we went to MVMCP and they did have the carolers on board. It was lovely.

A couple of years ago when we went they were running and had the carolers on board. Really nice. Last year when we were there it was running, but we ended up being the only ones on board (except of course the pilot). If they don't have the carolers this year we're going to pass.
