I would like some of the organized disers to post their itineraries they used to fit in the shows and fireworks, and parade. That is where my concerns lie. It will be my first too .
thanks Diane

This is what we did last year and we were able to do a couple of rides in between but mostly focus on the shows, fireworks and parade:

Mickey's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas at 7:15p
Galaxy Palace Theater in Tomorrowland
Times: 6:15, 7:15, 8:15, 9:30 & 10:30 PM

We fit in Buzz and Toontown before the fireworks.

Fireworks at 9:15p (then stayed for the show)

Celebrate the Seasons at 9:40p
Castle Forecourt Stage
Times: 7:00, 9:40 PM & 12 Midnight

Parade at 10:45p
MVMCP Parade
Times: 8:15p and 10:45p

This was the first year I took the time to see all the shows and they are fun and festive! :goodvibes

Wow this sounds like so much fun - we are going for the first time Nov 13 just 3 days after our disney wedding! Does the snow fall the whole time or only certain times and have there been specific characters at certain places year after year? What would you recommend?

I love that you posted your itinerary that helps me a lot. Does anyone else have an itinerary for mvmcp???

Maybe we'll see you there!!!!

Has it been everyone's experience to already be in the park having dinner?

One more question, is it really that cold that you need a sweatshirt and possibly gloves?

I am usually warm at 50 degrees. So a Tshirt would be fine, but have those who have been last year find it to be colder than that?

Looking forward to going Dec. 01!!!! :mickeyjum :cold:

Yes, it can be pretty darn cold, like the 40s. I've gone 4 times now and only once were we hot. The other 3 times we had coats, gloves, blankets for the parade etc...

Yes, most enjoy eating in the park before the party but many also eat elsewhere like at one of the monorail resorts or just enjoy counter service at some point in the night.

will the schedule come out ahead of time anywhere so we can plan???
Thanks

No, you can only go by last year's schedule which is posted here, at allears, Intercot etc..

It doesn't change very much from year to year though.

Or you could wait till party goers start to report back after the first couple of parties.

This is a good thread. I am learning more and more . This December will be my 1st mvmcp event .I will be down there on December 4th and bought a ticket for the 5th! Never been to wdw during this time. :cool1:

Stop by Guest Relations at the MK a couple days before you go to MVMCP and pick up a schedule for the party. You will have a chance to plan your night before you go.

I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU HAVE GOT THE CHANCE TO GO DURING THE MOST MAGICAL TIME OF THE YEAR. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE. AS A CHILD, I WENT ONCE IN THE SUMMER. NOW THAT I CAN CARRY MY OWN CHILDREN, IT WORKS BEST FOR US TO TRAVEL DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON. WE USUALLY GO THE THE FIRST OR SECOND WEEK OF DECEMBER, AND YES AT NIGHT IT DOES GET DOWNRIGHT CHILLY....SO BUNDLE UP!!! HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!!

Can you get cookies from more than one place (if there is a variety) or is it a one time thing that they keep track of (via a ticket or something?) :confused3

You can have as much hot choc and cookies as you want and there are a few locations.

They'll be listed on the map.

Great thread and great tips so far :thumbsup2 !

Questions:

1) Is the hot chocolate like "Swiss Miss" made with water or is it made with real milk?

2) Does it taste good  ?

Going 12/12!

:wave2:

We thought the hot chocolate tasted good. Not super rich or creamy but good. It is super HOT though. It took forever to be cool enough to drink. I saved the cups the hot chocolate came in as they were MVMCP themed  DH thinks I'm a little  But my kids love that they can have hot chocolate in the official MVMCP styrofoam cup :rotfl2:

Don't get in a hurry. Relax and enjoy the show. :thumbsup2

Is there a day of the week that is better to go on or doesn't it matter?

The majority of people would say to avoid weekends if at all possible. The locals come out and it tends to be more crowded.
