Must have eats... curious first timer wants to know

Presentation and the way it is cooked is completely different last cruise ours was more sugar based, the creams Are better quality now.

There is a big improvement.
I don't remember which cruise / ship I was on when our Palo waiter said that they had recently gone through a few chefs in Palo looking for one that could do justice to the "Palo Souffle" So it sounds to me like there was a period of time (on one of the ships at least) where the Souffle was not good enough.

The wraps/sandwiches from Flo's. I loved the tuna!
I know I am strange, but I am a tuna girl. My have to have at WDW is actually a tuna melt from Earl of Sandwich. I joked (kinda) with my hubby and said I was going to get 2 on the last WDW day and take them with me onto the ship. I love them so much! And I don't even eat the bread... just the tuna and swiss. YUMMMMMMMMM

My wife and I have been on only one Disney cruise, but we had several types of food that we will definitely be having again on our upcoming cruise. We had the All Hands on Deck cheese tray everyday, and I ate way too many of the peel and eat shrimp in Cabana's for lunch. Both the Chocolate Souffle in Palo and the Grand Marnier Souffle were my favorites, with my wife loving the creme brulee.

Another vote for the All hands on Deck platter (order two!) also the chicken wings on the room service menu are great also.
Hi,

My mom and I love the all hands on deck cheese platter. We have started a new tradition on our last cruise where we get the cheese platter the first night of our cruise before we go to bed and eat it in bed! :)

I personally can't see the reason for anyone to recommend Chicken tenders against the other great items on offer, You can get chicken at KFC and McDonalds anytime.

Hello,

While I fully respect your personal opinion about the chicken strips on board the ship, I love them. They are my ideal chicken strips. At home, I actually compare other chicken strips to the chicken strips on the ships because those are the chicken strips I want. With that being said, let me clarify that the chicken strips on the ship is not the only thing I eat while on board but it is one of my favorites. While you may not like them there are people out there that love certain foods on the cruises or other vacations whether they get it at home, school, work, or anywhere else. What they eat is completely their choice.

Surprised it's not been mentioned but - a Mickey ice cream bar from room service. Nothing like sitting on your balcony, eating Mickey on a stick. I can have ice cream at home but the shape just screams Disney cruise to me.

I fully understand the fast food stuff on a cruise. For me, it brings up memories of WDW and true vacation mode (I'm another person who doesn't eat fast food or really even a lot of restaurant meals outside of vacation). Chicken strips, burgers, tacos and those French fries (especially when they are hot and fresh and it's all you can smell in the air). I think it's also because you're eating those things outside, in the sea air with the hustle and bustle of the ship and pools and people all around you. No where do you recognize more than you're eating on a cruise ship, than when you're on the pool deck.

I can eat in a fancy restaurant at home (and where I don't feel the ship moving under me) and enjoy a soufflé or beef tenderloin, but where else can I have a taco and French fries, watching Donald do a meet and greet, with the movie "Cars" playing on the big screen, smelling the sea air around me, the movement of the ship beneath me, and the squeal of happy children and adults playing around me?

I'm definitely gonna be checking them out again. I could go some right now!

In addition to what's already been said - Mickey waffles with strawberry sauce and whipped cream! And my kid loves Krispy Kreme donuts at breakfast too. We've now cruised RCL and NCL and no one else has donuts at breakfast.

it all sounds great.
And you're right Jenf22...I don't ever remember seeing donuts on any of the cruises I've been on. Love me some Krispy Kreme....

is it May yet?

We always save our chocolates and bring them home. Then when we're all sad wishing we were still on the cruise I put them on my kids and wife's pillow and we all get a little dose of Disney Magic
