Must Do Healthy Meals & Snacks?

We are big fans of the Tangerine Cafe (which was a shock to me as I tend to be kind of picky). The combo schwarma platter with chicken and lamb was plenty for DH and I to share.

Yep, I go solo once a year so I can relate. I normally go during F&W so all my meals except breakfast come from the booths at Epcot, it took me 5 days to work my way around this year and get at least one thing at each booth. I also eat the kids meals for breakfast, I need the protein from the eggs in the morning and normally just eat one piece of bacon. Getting appetizers instead of an entre at the TS places is how I get around those huge portions. Looks like you have a handle on it and you'll do fine. After a while of eating a certain way you just know how to do it and your body will certainly tell you when it's full. I also get up really early every morning and take a nice brisk half hour walk around what ever resort I'm staying at. It's kind of nice when no one is around to just enjoy the beauty of the resorts.

I definitely have the portions under control for the most part. I really was just wondering if there are any special things (like the more indulgent must-dos) that are on the lighter side to try.

A friend and I both really enjoy the beet and goat cheese salad at Sunshine Seasons. Also, if you're wanting ice cream, I liked the grilled veggie sandwich at Beaches and Cream--kind of balances the bowl of sugar and fat LOL.

Thanks! I was wondering how that veggie sandwich was. I am definitely going to have to check out Sunshine Seasons. I have gotten a lot of suggestions to go there.

It surprised me because it was a cold sandwich--evidently the veggies are grilled, then chilled. But it was tasty. There were also some neat options at the HS Starbucks, and tons of new small plate kiosks at AK.

Actually its not that difficult to keep your diet on track on Disney. Yes you will have to go without the usual treats but its not an issue at all. My spouse is a fitness instructor, I'm a Surgeon, and we even keep a calorie and macro track on our meals and Disney has never been an issue. Just to let you know a couple of options:

Magic Kingdom:
Columbia Harbour House:
1. Grilled Salmon with Broccoli
2. Anchors Sandwich

3. Pot Roast in Liberty Tree Tavern
4. Char Siu Pork in Skipper's Canteen

EPCOT:
1. Rotisserie Chicken with Salad (Great source of Protein!) at Garden Grill
2. Any Fish in Coral Reef as long as you ask just for one starchy side
3. Most Food in Tokyo Dinning

There are really plenty of options around, you just have to read the menus befor hand and you'll be able to find something worth it almost everywhere.

Again, I'm not really worried about finding healthy options. I know how to do that. What I wanted to know was if there were any that were not to be missed...anything really special.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
