According to the Associated Press, Imane Boudlal, 26, a Morocco-born U.S. citizen, was fitted earlier this summer for a Disney-supplied headscarf but wasn't given a date for completion of the garment and was told she couldn't wear her own hijab in the interim. When she wore a headscarf to work at the Storytellers Cafe Sunday in observance of Ramadan, her supervisors told her to remove it, work where customers couldn't see her, or go home.
-this seems to say that she was told already her's was a no-go, which just makes her argument weaker.
I mean, I'm all about individuality and I quite frankly can't say how her wearing her hijab was effecting her work. I feel like my tattoos and piercings have zero influence on mine. However, when an employer says "no piercings or tattoos," I take out my piercings and cover my tattoos. You know the rules, if you don't like them, don't work there.
