Briggsy-
Sorry I never responded to your message. I let on Sept. 16 to come to FL and I have been here ever since. I have not had a lot of time to check the computer. I started my Disney trip report while I was on the Beach in Miami Beach, but didn't get past the second day....oh well when I get home I will have time. I do not know your kids personally, but my SO and I are in our very early 20s and we enjoy them very much. I used to live in FL before moving to Indy 6 months ago, so I remember going places like MT when I was a teenager. I had a great time when I went with friends. I don't remember going with my family at any point in my teenage years though. You know your teens. If they like the Adventurers Club then I think they might like Sleuth's. As I said they relate their skits to pop culture events of the time and all the shows I have seen have been funny.
The age group you are dealing with can be hard to entertain (from my own experience). They are too young to go to clubs but too old for childish activities. If you are looking for evening activities I would suggest Cirque if you have not seen it yet. I love it. Disneyquest would also be fun for them I would think. You can stay there all night. If anyone interesting is coming to the House of Blues while you are there you might want to catch a concert. International Drive is full of nightlife places to go. Some of them you should watch out for however as they are very much tourist trap places (Masters of Magic for example was rather expensive and not too great). I love miniature golf, and always like to try out the different Pirate's Adventure golf places and other such things. You might want to go to Old Town on 192. They have some rides and a small haunted house plus lots of stores. Some nights they have old car shows, and I have seen some magic acts and other street performers. Church Street in Downtown Orlando used to be a rather big drawing night life attraction, but I think it has gone downhill in the past few years and the last times I was there it was nothing more interesting than a few piano bars, karaoke, and clubs.
Just a word of advice. Don't over estimate the amount of night time fun you will be able to have. After long days at theme parks, eating dinner, watching fireworks, and maybe taking a swim the night can be over quickly. I spent a full week at WDW at the beginning of my vacation here in FL and after the parks, maybe going to do some shopping, and dinner we were still not in bed till 12:00 every night.
If you want any more info feel free to ask. I'll try to answer quicker the next time!
