We're off on a 5 day 4 night trip to DLP from the 25th-29th September.. and let me tell you, we can't wait!! We're staying the the Cheyenne which isn't the height of luxury but you can't beat bunkbeds for us kidssss! Last time we went the food for breakfast was HORRIBLE! it was really disappointing but at least it kept us going until our 11am snacks and drinks :D

so here's the cast:
Abbie(me!) age 15, Melanie(mother!) turns 40 in Disney, Millie(little sister!) 4, along with our friends Emma, Katherine, 15, Alison, 11, and Sam, 7

Me and my family are disney mad, it's shocking! We went yeeeears ago with emma, katherine and alison but sam wasn't born yet :confused3 I must have been about 6 at the time so I can't remember all that much :headache:

The plan is we're going to be heading down to the Ashford International hotel the day before our eurostar train direct to disney so we can have a quick stop over (saves a long journey in the morning!!) and then get a taxi to the train station. asuming all runs smoothly we should be in the parks straight away when we arrive.. exciting stuff!

Dad isn't coming along for this trip so that should mean the budget loosens up to make space for more STUFF! I had better pack light....

I'm scheming ways to keep as many memorabilias from this trip as i can.. any ideas? :D

Ah you arrive 2 days after we leave! Its so exciting when its so close! xxx

Sounds like you have a fun filled trip planned!
What are your must dos?

how exciting you'll have a fantastic time, i turned 40 in WDW Florida this year and it was amazing looking forward to reading your trip report when you do one take a birthday badge for your mum to wear and hopefully everyone will wish her happy birthday as she's walkign round the park xx

Aww I hope you have a great time! I've been occupying my evenings planning out what we're going to do, I'm a really odd teenager! :rotfl: xxx

Pretty much everything I would imagine! :thumbsup2 but definately all the thrill rides and as many others as we can possibly fit in. At least we have 5 days so hopefully we can do it all. We have a reservation for a birthday breakfast for my mum on the 26th but for the rest of a meals it'll be left down to what we fancy at the time! Thank god it isn't high season when we go! x

I bet WDW would have been great to do for such a great birthday! I hope you had a lovely time! And thank you, I'm so excited for it and so is everyone else :yay: I really want mum to wear a badge but she's a bit shy about it but i'll see what convincing I can do :thumbsup2 xx

Just went to thomas cook in town to pick up our train tickets and they're all good so we're doubley excited now! While we were in there I couldn't help but pick up the latest of the DLP brochure :rolleyes1

Although we're all really gutted that HM is closed for the WHOLE time we're there! I guess that's in preparation for the halloween season (which we miss by 1 day):scared1:

Its your SDD!! Its going to fly now! ToT and Crush are my fave thrill rides. Id advise que-ing at the WDS gates at 9.30 and pegging it to Crush when the park opens to avoid nasty ques :thumbsup2

I know, we just can't stop talking about it and how soon it is! Sounds like a great plan, we might have to try that out some days! ;)

Your trip sounds great! :wizard:

Yes, do tell your mum to wear a birthday badge. I turned 50 at DLP earlier in the year and my DDs made me wear one and everywhere I went the CMs were wishing me bon anniversaire and one even wouldn't let me through the turnstiles until I'd let him give me a kiss! :scared1: I would have found this excruciatingly embarrassing at home but somehow the inner child just comes out at Disney!

That sounds lovely Elaine! I must make sure to stop by City Hall for DDs birthday sticker :thumbsup2

That's my mothers thinking, but hopefully she'll find her inner child like you did :rotfl: it's lovely that the CMs are so thoughtful!

So sorry to have nit been able to do a whole trip report, but I've been having some issues with the pictures and I can't seem to find the pad I wrote everything down in for my life :sad2:

However what I can remember very clearly is Millie breaking her wrist on the first day by falling off the bunk bed ladder! We had the paramedic in our room who called in the ambulance and so there were 5 French people in our room, followed by two hotel managers! She bucked up with some calpol and so they decided not to send her off to the hospital..

The next day she was in pain still so after queuing for BTM and having to evacuate due to technical difficulties  we had a churro break and mum decided to take Millie to the medical centre. It was Mum's 40th that day so the people at the medical centre gave her a Minnie mouse with a light up top! (and a Lilo and stich set for Millie to play with in the hospital!)

They were sent to the hospital and returned to the parks about 6 hours later :scared1:

It was so busy everywhere and we seemed to have bad luck with rides breaking down on us! It happened 4 or 5 times while we were there

It was certainly a different kind of experience for us, but we still can't wait to go back (hopefully February:yay:)

(i'll try to sort the photos out and see if I can find the pad but I'm afraid I can't promise anything )

sounds like you had one eventful trip xxx
