How good is the Mummy Ride? Is it really a must do? The only reason I want to visit Universal Studios again in my upcoming trip is this new ride. Depending on what you tell me, I´ll skip this park....Please, help me.

I guess it depends on what you like in a ride. It's very comfortable, being new, it's not jerky like the older ones. You have 2 "air time" drops, not big, but good. The 'story' part is great, good effects.

I don't know if I'd buy park tickets JUST to ride it, but it's definitely not to be missed if you're there!

It is a not to be missed ride. Why don't you buy a 2-park one day ticket? Ride Mummy, Men in Black, and Shrek before heading for Islands of Adventure. Jaws has recently been refurbished so you might want to ride it also.

I just got back from my first ever trip to Universal and Island of Adventure. The Revenge of the Mummy was by far our favorite ride out of both parks! It was awesome! I think we rode it at least a dozen times in our two day stay. We also rode Men In Black a few times as well. I thought Universal was a great park!

It's worth it. If you've already been to USF, you could probably go there and do the major attractions, then head to another park. If you use single rider line, you can get on just about any time of the day with a short wait. I've done the Mummy, then ran over to IOA and the still beat the crowd. You don't have to spend your entire day at USF.
Here's my site with POV videos. Scroll down to the bottom. The ride is much better in person, the camera can't capture the feeling, but you can get an idea.

I am a plus size gal. Am I going to have a hard time with this one?

There's no way to tell unless you try to the test seat out front. I've seen some really large people be able to fit and some that didn't appear to be large, not be able to fit.

I just rode the mummy six time and I am 6ft2 and weigh 280 Iwas able to get in
the seat with no trouble

Honestly, I thought the ride was ok. Its a good roller coaster, but it doesn't compare to Hulk or Dueling Dragons. I also think Rock n Rollercoaster is much best as well.

In my opinion you are comparing fruits to vegatables.
Hulk and DD are built for sheer speed and drops...nothing else.

Mummy is not meant to be speed and drops, its about a story a whole experience...sights...sounds. I'm glad its not like DD and Hulk. I'm not saying they are bad rides I like them but when you cut right down to it they are just rollercoasters. Mummy is imaginative and different like Spiderman.

even on IOA days, we detour to get our mummy fix, on the way in, and on the way out.

I can't freaking wait to ride MUMMY!!!!

I just talked to my son who works there and he said to tell you that they can't wait for you to get here, so hurry up!

LO> I can fit in the larger seats at hulk and dueling dragons, and I can fit in Dr Doom.....I hope i can ride the Mummy.

Does The Mummy have a height restriction?
Thanks in advance!

oh I was thinking the other end...like if it was possible to be too tall to ride..LOL

Well, they have had some professional basketball and football players ride. The back row has a little more leg room.

They did have a bodyguard to a celebrity not be able to ride but most of that was because of the size of his legs and chest.

Do Not miss MUMMY, that's all I'm going to say!!!
