September 5th (part 1): A relaxing morning at MK and that time I couldn't go pee

A day at MK was much needed.

Yes, I live 35 minutes away and can go anytime I want, but, I was having a hard time at school with some stuff. And I had a day off so I needed to go home.

So we left the house at 9:45 and headed home.

THANK GOD.

My fave monorail welcomed us

We parked in the Simba lot and I noticed they have a RAPUNZEL lot. Since when did this happened?!?! Like, I need to park there.

The turnstiles were crazy. Idk why. I mean, I KNOW it was a Jewish holiday—I didn’t realize there were a lot of Jewish people were we live—but it was a Thursday.

We made our way down Main Street and all of the citizens were out!

I love them.

The Move it, Shake it, Celebrate it! parade was going on. They REALLY need to change that music. Or get rid of it all together.

We then headed into Fantasyland and got in line for the tea cups. Mum finally said she would go on and she didn’t even think they were that bad. Well. I mean. We didn’t even turn the crappin’ cup so that might’ve been it…. Now, she has to go on the Tower of Terror.

We headed into New Fantasyland. Prince Eric’s Overpriced Healthy Snack Shack had opened up on this day.

And then the Philharmonic welcomed us into Storybook Circus.

We then did something that we never do. Take the train around the park!

Seriously, it was so nice to just take the train around. And the views are awesome.

We got back off at the SC stop and ugh, those details.

We headed over to BOG because we wanted to try lunch out.

The line wasn’t too bad, but it was SOOOOO hot out. Like, the worst it had been. And then the kitchen was DOWN. I swear to God. Like, it isn’t a ride. So how can the kitchen be DOWN. I don’t even know. All in all, we waited for about 45 minutes, which isn’t horrendous.

At least that place is beautiful.

And before we move on to inside and FOOD, I just wanted to give you a tip. If you have to use the bathroom while in line at BOG, go to the one over by Gaston’s. I had to go and I told Mum that I was just going to use the BR over by Gaston’s and she was like “that is ridiculous. Just go ask that CM if you can go inside.” So I went over to a CM and just asked if I could go inside and use the bathroom and she was like “I don’t think so, but let me go ask another CM. Follow me.” I swear to God. So she had to escort moi to another CM to ask her and that CM was like “Oh…well…*pointing to moi*…is she in line?” No, I just wanted to go inside and see the not so amazing bathroom. Like, do you want moi to pee my pants on this bridge?! So she literally escorted moi to the bathroom. I was shocked that she didn’t wait outside the stall for moi. Like, this ain’t the White House here, dudes! It is a RESTAURANT. THAT I AM GOING TO EAT AT. So go over by Gaston’s. The end.

We headed inside and waited in another line to order our food.

September 5th (part 2): Lunch in the West Wing and character time!

After we ordered, we headed into the West Wing since we hadn’t eaten in there yet. I would not like to eat in there for dinner because it is SO ridiculously dark in there. I was planning on writing in my journal but I couldn’t even see it.

The theming in there is amazing though.

I got the grilled ham and cheese sandwich. It has a totally different fancy French name but that is what it was. And I am WAY too lazy to look it up sooooo. But, it was really good. I enjoyed it very much. They don’t give you a lot of fries though.

Mum got the braised pork, or something like that. She liked it but it would be better when it is a tad bit cooler outside.

For dessert, I got the chocolate cupcake and Mum got the strawberry cupcake. Those things are SO good.

After lunch, we headed into Fantasyland…

…and onto Main Street.

I wanted to see Dream Along With Mickey since we had never seen it before but it wasn’t time yet so we did some window shopping.

Marie was meeting so I HAD to get in line.

She was ADORABLE. She checked out my bow and gave me the biggest hug. I love her!

Pluto was also out AND it was his birthday so meeting him was a necessity.

Right before I met him, he went inside to take a break and the most energetic puppy came out. Oh my god, he was NUTS. Which is better than being dull and all, but I think the dog was on crack.

September 5th (part 3): Rainbows help an afternoon at First Aid

MICKEY PUMPKIN!

We got a spot right in front of the castle for Dream Along with Mickey. I was excited to see it!

Here are some pics for yall.

And that is all I have.

No, my camera didnt die. Mickey didnt fall off the stage.

I couldnt do it anymore.

It was seriously the hottest day we had experienced at FL since we had been there and I couldnt take another minute. I felt so dizzy and I thought I was going to fall over.

Mum dragged me to the Emporium so I could sit down on the floor while she ran to Caseys to get some water. I was so dehydrated and overheated. We had been outside so much on this day and barely had any AC. And we drank our water bottle like in an hour and never got anymore. And plus um Florida water is disgusting.

I sat on the floor of the Emporium, all spread out drinking my water. Mum kept asking if I needed to go to First Aid and I finally agreed to go.

I sat in the lobby for a while with a bag of ice on my head and neck. We sat there for about a half hour so I could just cool off. I NEEDED AC. It wasnt that cool in the lobby but it was better than outside. And plus that ice and water helped so much.

Moral of the story: dont go to FL in the summer. Or the Fall. Because it has been 90 for weeks.

And thank you to the very nice CMs at First Aid

After that episode, we went to go meet Mickey because I needed to recover and the Big Cheese would help.

This is the only picture I have of us together and like always, IDK what is going on here.

We decided that it was ice cream time so we headed over to The Plaza and both got the Mickey kids cone.

Like stop.

And then right when we got outside, I dropped my ice cream.

This day was not my day.

So I went back inside and they gave moi a recovery. Yes, that is what they called it.

We ate our ice cream in Cosmic Rays because I needed more AC and I got caught up in my journal.

After our little break, we headed to Frontierland and got BTMR FPs. We never got to use them though because it poured all afternoon, as you will see.

Next, we took a spin on POTC.

When we were getting on, tons of people were taking flash pics and got yelled at by CMs. THANK THE LORD UP ABOVE.

Then we went into Liberty Square to visit my love.

The rain had started up before we got on HM but once we were off, it had stopped. And then it started up again. Oh, Florida.

We then headed over to Cosmic Rays because we were a little hungry.

We decided to just split a burger.

We left Cosmic Rays and when we got outside, there were TWO RAINBOWS. You can barely see it in this picture, but it was there!

We decided to make our way out of the park because I DID have school the next day and all&

September 8th (part 1): It was like déjà vu...

We left the house a little after 9:30 and got to AK at 10:20. And we got a front row spot so YAY! If you have parked in a Disney parking lot, you know parking at the end of a row ain't fun.

When we were getting on the tram, we saw some idiot leaning against our car, smoking a crappin’ cigarette. (cons of front row spots). So mum took her car keys and made our car go off. And he moved. Oh Mum.

Once we got through the turnstiles, we looked around in the Oasis for a few.

Then we headed into Discovery Island and looked around in a few stores.

Not sellin’ at Disneyland, huh?

OK I REALLY NEED A DUFFY NOW.

THE THEMING THO.

After a little browsing, we explored around on the trails behind the Tree of Life.

I will never get enough of this park.

And now I guess that was that because this is my next pic and I CANT TAKE IT.

And now I have a pic of myself in front of my love…? We were all around AK on this morning.

Moving onto random flamingo photos.

Then we headed into Africa to get a little snack.

We got the Jungle Juice slushie, which was AMAZING and some almonds.

It was already almost 12 at this point and now I will say what the crap we were doing at AK cause it probably looks like we were taking our sweet time trying to find a way to stay close to the front of the park…

Cause we were.

We had friends coming down on vacation from MA and we were meeting up with them.

And I knew it was going to be déjà vu all over again. And it was.

Let’s just say I called this day “the other people” but not “the other people” take two.

So Mum has this friend Ally. This was Ally’s FIRST TRIP TO DISNEY (idk why we talk to her) and her and her boyfriend, Dave, came down. And their two friends Jodi and her boyfriend, BJ. Or was it VG… I DON’T REALLY KNOW so we will call him “that other dude.”

And this was our first time meeting Jodi and “the other dude.” Can you say AWKWARD?!

And I was not the biggest fans of these people. And Dave is creepy/weird anyways so there’s that too.

BUT ANYWAYS.

This was their first full day and btw Animal Kingdom was closing at five.

To my November TR readers: does this sound familiar or what?

So we were texting Ally all morning long asking where the crap they were and they were just getting something for breakfast.

When everyone is serving lunch.

So we danced to the awesome band in Harambe cause that is what you do when you are annoyed.

And then you go shopping when you are annoyed. It helps, really.

And you take pictures of Disney flowers and the Tree of Life when you are annoyed. That helps too.

Ally texted us finally at 12:30 and said that they were on their way to the Tree of Life.

15 minutes later…….

They finally arrive, we said hello, and that was that.

Then Ally said that she was going to go get a drink.

IN HER RESORT MUG.

Which was not rapid fill by the way but the CM charged her for rapid fill.

We told her that she can’t fill her mug with like soda or anything AT THE PARK and she said that the CM at Old Key West (where they were staying) told her she could.

Um, yo Disney. Train your CMs better.

Moving on.

We headed to Kilimanjaro and it was a walk on.

Ally and company were being like obnoxious for the whole ride.

It is a very good thing that we live 35 minutes from Disney.

Most of my pics are total crap from this safari—except like one—so we will not have a whole chapter of animal spam. You’re welcome.

We have to include giraffes tho.

We had these animals (idk what kind they are) cross the road in front of us and they came SO close. Yes, I was using my 55-200mm lens but oh my god, it was like I could touch them.

September 8th (part 2): Chillin' with yetis, dinos, and idiots

After the safari, we checked out Pangani.

We saw a hippo come out of the water and I have NEVER seen that before. It was SO cool.

And there was a baby gorilla out AND IT WAS THE CUTEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.

After the cuteness overload, Jodi and “the other dude” went over to Rafiki’s Planet Watch and the rest of us went to get some lunch.

Ally and Dave were very intrigued with Bamboo. DeVine >>>>

Like always, we ate at Yak & Yeti.

Mum and I split the beef lo mein and the egg rolls. The beef lo mein was great like it usually is and the egg rolls were just ok. I wasn’t a huge fan.

After lunch, we met back up with Jodi and “the other dude” and headed over to EE.

CAN WE JUST STOP IT.

Right before we got on, “the other dude” was like “oh, I only came to Disney for the roller coasters!” And that my friends, is why he classifies under “the other people” category.

Everyone but Jodi went on. But then she went on Primeval Whirl later in the day and that is 10x worse so I don’t even know.

There was LITERALLY a FIVE minute wait. Scratch that. WE WALKED RIGHT ON. There were NO crowds at all that day. It was heavenly.

I hadn’t been in the standby queue in like forever and I totally forgot how amazing it is.

When we got off, “the other dude” was like “ugh, I feel so sick.” Oh, I thought you only came to WDW for roller coasters!

After EE, we headed over to Kali, and I didn’t really want to go on. I wasn’t thrilled about a water ride right then and I had my “Disney snob” attitude cause “the other people” but not “the other people.”

I decided to just go on.

But I wore my poncho.

Cause yeah.

Then we headed into Dinoland and I was happy.

I then dragged Ally on my FAVE attraction and she was like “why are you excited about this?” She doesn’t understand. At all.

Disney needs to get going on the new name of the best attraction of all time.

It started to rain and the park was closing pretty soon, so we headed into Discovery Island and shopped around for a bit.

THE DETAILS THO.

After it let up, we admired the Tree of Life for a little bit.

We then headed out of the park and Mum and I drove over to OKW because we were going to Olivia’s with everyone.

We drove up to their room and checked it out. Oh my god, it was amazing. They had a two bedroom and I was in love with it.

They all got ready, which took an HOUR. I swear to God. It’s like, tomorrow is a Monday and I have SCHOOL. #otherpeopleprobs

After like forever, we walked over to Olivia’s. Their building was pretty close to it.

I have to say, OKW is really pretty.

Like no one was at Olivia’s so we walked right up and got it.

Just sayin’, I do not have a ton of pics of dinner cause “the other people” but not “the other people” and such. We DO have food pics though. That’s most important.

Jodi is a vegan and the chef was AMAZING. He made her vegan bread and a whole sandwich that she loved. And FRENCH FRIES which she was SO excited about. It was pretty funny. Mum and I have no allergies—except to universal—so we never have to talk to the chef, but we know how Disney does so well with allergies and the chef was SO great with Jodi that night.

We got bread before our meal and it tasted similar to Ohana’s and I was in love ♥

I got the club for my dinner.

And Mum got a burger.

I think both of our meals were good. I truly do not remember…

And I can’t forget the highlight of the meal: “the other dude” asked us about alcohol at the other parks (he did get something at AK) and I was like “ummmmm MK doesn’t…” and he was like “oh really?!” Like, he was upset. I was trying not to flip out cause um Walt and we all know my opinions on that.

ANYWAYS…

Mum and I said goodbye and went to get our car after that and headed home.

September 12th (part 1): Remember that one time that I MET MARTY SKLAR

We were not planning on leaving so late but Mum took 5 years to get ready and then I saw on the news that there was traffic on I-4 and I was freaking out.

Since it was a weekday and all, I knew this was going to happen.

Yes, it was a weekday. Let’s just say skipping school was necessary. We will get into that in a minute.

WAZZUP DISNEY WORLD?!

We got to DTD and basically sprinted over to Art of Disney.

We had to push through SO many people.

And I probably have to say what in the world we were doing on this morning……

YEAHHHHHHHHH.

AND NOW I WILL HAVE FEELS AGAIN BECAUSE THIS WAS LIKE THE BEST DAY EVER CAUSE MARTY CRAPPIN’ SKLAR.

I didn’t have his new book yet and you had to buy the book at Disney in order to have him sign it. (and btw I just finished it and it was INCREDIBLE).

So we got in line to buy the book and we got our wristbands that guaranteed us to meet him so HOLLAH.

After we got the book and wristbands we got in the regular line to wait.

So basically we did nothing for those two hours. Well I did. But I left Mum cause our friend Matt was also in line so I went over to him and talked for literally an hour. All about Disney. And Rosen. And that was that…

I went back over to Mum after like an hour and someone came over to us and it was Disneybubbles here on the DIS, who was on her CP. And she loves my TRs so of course she is awesome. It was so nice to meet you!!

We waited for about 2 hours total, but we got to talk to the WDW ambassadors and some CMs in line.

AND THEN WE ENTERED THE BUIDLING AND I SAW HIM.

I basically had a heart attack and peed myself.

I’m not kidding.

I was fangirling so hard over one of my boyfriends WHO WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF MOI.

But really. I am in love with 20 year old band guys and 80 year old imagineers. #mylife

I was shaking. I ain’t kidding around here. SHAKING.

I went up to Marty and I said “It is an honor to meet you” cause WHAT DO YOU SAY TO A CRAPPIN’ DISNEY LEGEND. WHO KNEW WALT ELIAS DISNEY AKA MY HERO.

DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE.

Mum doesn’t even know who the man is but she took a pic with him. Like, BACK OFF.

I was basically crying when we left the building and I needed food.

So we went over to Earl of Sandwich.

I found a table while Mum went to get our food.

I got the club and Mum got the chicken caeser wrap. They were both awesome.

We then got some dessert at Goofy’s.

We were headed over to World of Disney and BAM DISMEET NUMERO DOS happened! It was pirateprincess1976 and she was so nice. She JUST got to Disney that day and was headed to Ohana that night. #jealous It was nice to meet you!

We looked around in World of Disney and then headed to the TTC cause Ally and Dave were at MK and we figured that since it was their last full day, we would meet up again. And HALLELUJAH Jodi and “the other dude” were elsewhere on that day.

When we were walking to the monorail to get to MK, we bumped into Katie Werling who was just getting off at work! If you listen to the DISunplugged, Katie is Kathy’s daughter. We have met her before but seriously, 3rd DISmeet of the day. It was just crazy.

We talked to her for about 20 minutes and then headed home.

They already changed the MNSSHP sign. Who knows why.

Home.

I guess we looked around in the Emporium for a few cause this is my next pic.

We met up with Ally and Dave in Tomorrowland and went to go see the Laugh Floor.

It was the middle of the show and Sam and Ella were trying to guess different countries or states.

And I saw a CM heading towards moi.

And guess who got picked…

They asked moi where I was from and I said FL—it was amazing to say that—and they asked if the Eiffel Tower was there and I barely heard the question and I said yes. And then I said no. And they just looked at moi like I was crazy and they were like “I think she is confused” and moved on.

That is my life, folks.

We all headed to Frontierland after that and got stuck in parade traffic so we just decided to watch it.
