We ended up moving three times on our last trip. This was our 10th anniversary trip, and we wanted to re-create our honeymoon which was a combination of Disney, Universal and Bahamas.
Because we didn't have enough DVC points for the whole Disney stay, we decided to try the WDW Hilton. Stayed in a fantastic suite for two nights, and really enjoyed the proximity to DTD - almost like being 'home' at SSR!
After two nights we moved to SSR and stayed there for 10 nights. Very nice and relaxing, as always.
We then transferred to the Disney Wonder for a three night cruise, which was amazing! We had never cruised before and absolutely loved it! We're already planning the next one!
Finally we moved to Portofino Bay for the last night. We weren't overly impressed with the hotel itself and will probably do Hard Rock next time.
The trick to making all the moves go smoothly was definitely PLANNING! DH and I had one large case each, and one smaller case between us. Whatever we needed for the next leg of the trip went in the small case and hand luggage. The day before leaving one place for another, I would make sure we had the right stuff in the small case. That way, we didn't need to access the larger cases at all. In fact, at PBH we didn't even bother taking them to the room, but left them with bell services.
Perhaps not everyone's idea of a relaxing holiday, but definitely doable.
