Multiple FPs if they are for DL and DCA?

Leaving tomorrow night and realized there is one question that I don't know the answer to. I know that you usually cannot get another FP until the return time has passed on the original (or is it an hour after the last one? I guess I have 2 questions!) but if yiou get one at DL and then walk to DCA, do you still need to wait? Thanks!

1. You can get another FP when the return window opens or two hours later, whichever occurs first.

2. FPs held in DL do not effect gathering FPs in DCA or vice versa.

3. Roger Rabbit, does not effect other DL attractions.

4. World of Color Show Passes do not effect other DCA attractions.

DL and DCA are separate; however, if your ticket has been scanned into either park's turnstile, you can use that pass to get a FP to World of Color (I do not know if this works for other attractions as well).

Also, getting a FP for World of Color does not impact your ability to get other FPs.

It does.

The time you can get another FP is printed on each FP itself, FYI.
Good point with 4 exceptions:

1. As noted by Ski, Roger Rabbit

2. WOC

3. Any FP at the opposite park

4. At DLR, when a FP tells you when you can get the next FP, it may not apply to the ride for which you got the FP. In other words, if you got an Indy FP at 11AM with a return window of 3-4PM, the FP will say you can get another FP two hours later - at 1PM. You can do this for any DL FP ride except for Indy. You cannot get another FP window until 3PM despite what the FP says.

Note that WDW does nto work this way. There you could get the FP for Indy (if they had Indy) at 1PM even if you hold one for 3-4PM.

:)

I had been told by many times herethat your pass must be scanned at the park turnstiles you're trying to get FP's for. This past week I found thats not true. Our group entered DCA for the start of our day. I then grabbed everyones pass and exited and headed to DL. I was able to use everyones pass to get Space Mountain FP's and then returned to DCA to meet up.

I'm surprised to see you claim that as it's well known not to be true, and often stated not nessecary on this board.

Park tickets have to be activated for the day by enterning a park by the ticket holder. The tickets can then be used in either park to gather FPs.

I've seen numerous posts over the years stating that your pass has to be activated in the park you're trying to get FP's for. I realize thats not true but none the less I have seen many posts over the years stating otherwise. Possibly it was true some time ago?

Sorry Huff, I can't side with you on this one ;) I joined the boards three years ago and it's been that way at least since then and I'd suspect much longer. We always are quick to post that they need to be activated at ONE of the parks, so you can't just wake up early and get FP's for the rest of your sleeping family, but as long as they are activated SOMEWHERE, one person can hop to the other park with the tickets and get the whole group passes.

Huff, what you are saying is true for WDW but not DLR. Maybe you got the two forums confused?

As others have said, I can't remember reading this on this DLR forum for many years.

I remember getting FPs at opposite parks back in 2005. So seven years ago. I even wrote about it at the time:

"Getting the Most Out of FastPass During High Season" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=885132

4. Currently, once the entrance media have been scanned at either DL or DCA, they are initialized for both parks. This allows a runner to get FPs for the group at the opposite park even though no one in the group (except the runner of course) has entered that park.

Glad you figured it out now! :goodvibes

I have to disagree with this, I've been a member since 2007 (and I lurked for a year prior to that) and I've never seen numerous posts saying this. In fact I disagreed the last time you said this on the boards and stated that you can in fact get FP at either park once your ticket or AP has been scanned.

Smart Dis'ers (like all of those who've posted above me :))..KNOW how FP works & KNOW how to effectively Park Hop.

Here's some FP threads that all DLR first timers should read:

Not sure I would have ever said that but who knows as I've not ever had the need to hop for FP's until this last trip. We arrived late in the afternoon and I knew we wouldn't be able to ride SM later if I hadn't gone in to get FP's.

Thats always possible. I visit both several times a year.

It's easy to do when you're on all the forums. Like a couple months ago I thought the lap bars had been put on Splash at Disneyland as well as Magic Kingdom. But I found out it was only at MK. I would have sworn I had read it here, too!

I may be mis-remembering, if I am I apologize. :)

Heck.....I can't remember what i had for lunch yesterday. :lmao:

Huff & Pixie.....you guys always give great advice here. No worries. :thumbsup2
