I was reading my AAA brochure and it mentioned that if you buy a AA package which insudes hotel by a certain date it includes multiple fastpasses. Does anyone know about it?

Any other ways to get this feature?

Jenn

We booked a package thru AAA and got multiple FP's. Don't leave until December, but that's what we were told.

Let me know if I can be more helpful.

Its only through AAA that you can get the option... But to be quite honest- You can get just as much out of the system by knowing how it works and how to maximize it without having to buy the AAA tickets...

You also have to stay at a Disney Resort hotel to get the multiple fastpass option.

With the limited FP attractions, expecailly since they removed it from pirates, haunted mansion and Pooh, and reduced its use at others (like Thunder and Star Tours), the multiple feature while nice really isn't that necessary.

They removed it from Pooh, haunted and Pirates, why?

I love Fastpass and with a 2 year old, I find it essential.

They also removed it from Star Tours at this time, and Grizzly River Run at California Adventure.

Here are the attractions with Fastpass according to today's guide (we were there today):

DL
Autopia
Big Thunder Mtn Railroad
Indiana Jones
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin
Splash Mtn (refurbishment)
(Star Tours - No Fastpass)

DCA
California Screamin'
Grizzly River Run (refurbishment)
Mulholland Madness
Soarin' Over California
Tower of Terror

They removed it from attractions that it wasn't needed at all and would create such artificial waits that it wasnt a good use of resources... - Ie Pirates has a HUGE capacity per hour and by only using "standby" you'd rarely see waits under 30 and so by removing it they created a much more even flow and wait times are usually back under the 15-20 wait with most time being a pretty good walkon. Same with Pooh- Its a low demand ride that FP isnt needed...

On most slow days I would say about 80% of the FP rides are Standby only with no FP offered at all when I was there 3 out of the 4 days there was absolutly no reason to bother with FP as the waits were all under 15-20 total (and 15 is often the lowest the clocks can go)

I can hardly belive the waits are that short, but good to know. At WDW the wait for Pooh was at least 45 minutes over Tday and Buzz was also around 45 minutes, it seems they have more Fastpass machines, but if you don't need them that is fine also.

Thanks for the info and the list of which machines have it. The DL website was a bit out of date. I wonder if it is permanent that those won't have FP.

Jenn

It is pretty perm. on Pirates and Pooh as they have completely removed them. On Mansion they still have FP for the Holiday layover so it is possible (though no lkely) that it will return.

Yup- Pirates and Poohs machines are gone as are Muppets 3d and Tough to be a Bug at DCA.

Ive heard a rumor that Buzz (opening with FP) might take over the machines by Star Tours (sounds really weird though) so we'll see... I would imagine once Buzz and Space re-open that Star would loose theirs-

Yes last week was a bit weird- Fri (rainy) and Sun (sunny) were completely dead- Sat on the other hand was 45-60 waits for about everything...

Wow, a tale of two coasts aparently. The WDW version is quite high demand. Still, after being open for nearly 6 years. Is it because the DL version is in the back corner of the park and not in Fantasyland?

It was also done poorly and cheaply and basically just is horrible... I rather enjoyed the WDW one and rode it a few times but Ive only ridden the DL once twice (had to see the Country Bear tribute...) and well... Ive been there 5+ times since then...

The Pooh ride in Tokyo DL was a minimum of 90 minutes stand-by and the line to get a FP ticket was at least a 30 minute wait. They ran out of FP tickets by noon. They love the Pooh ride there.
