Hi everyone. First time poster, did a search and couldn't find my answer.

Big group going May 7th. Our FP+ date is March 8. In preparation for that I had a question. Our group is 3 families, my parents, my family of four and my brothers family of 3. We are all linked as family and friends on MDE.

Obviously, our FP+ isn't open yet, but when I click on the button it only shows MYSELF and not anyone else listed. Will this magically change on our FP+ date of March 8th to show everyone? If we're all linked properly will I be able to make FP+ for anyone in our group?

Next to my name is says VALID PARK ADMISSION REQUIRED with an "i". When you hover over the "i" it reads "In order to be included in a FastPass+ party, you need valid park admission that is linked to your Disney account. Park admission is not required to make FastPass+ selections for others."

Any help is appreciated...just don't want to be scrambling the night I do our Fast Passes!

Thanks!

You must wait until your FP+ window opens. THEN, everything will show up.

This kind of information is explained in the FP+ thread found HERE. Read post #1 and #2 for FP+ usage, recommendations, and timing advice.

:welcome: tio the DISboards, Jake!

I believe you need to link your admission to your Disney account. I would just call to find out.

Good question, I was wondering that as well. Not sure how to do that. I called last night and the lady wasn't real helpful. I mentioned "linking tickets to account" and she was non-commital and just said "everything will show up on March 8th." That led me to post here :-)

Maybe I should try back and ask someone different :-)

How (and when) did you purchase your tickets?

Sad to say that many CMs you can reach by phone have no idea how any of this actually works.

If you bought your tickets through Disney, then it's true: it does just on magically show up on the day you need it. It is totally nerve-racking and I felt the same way that you did, but it really does happen.

As far as the rest of your group, you will be able to reserve fast pass plus reservations for anyone to whom you are directly linked on MDE. So from my group, I could make reservations for both my parents but then only for my one friend because her husband did not have an account yet. Then she had to go back in and add him to the reservations once his account was set up.

My parents purchased them on Jan. 18th. I'm trying to confirm how they purchased them but I'm 99% sure it was through Disney.

Thanks! I'm trying to confirm but I'm pretty sure my parents purchased them through Disney. Thanks!

Robo & krm22 -- update: they were purchased as package through a travel agent. Does that change things?

The fact that they are package tickets is fine.

That they were bought via a travel agent...
I have no idea in what way and to what extent the TA is intertwined in the procedure.

It's the package part that's "locked" right now. As soon as you hit the 60 day mark, the package breaks up into room and tickets (and dining, if you are doing a DP) and you can start making your FP+ reservations.
