Mugs on the DDP

I know that you now receive the mugs on the basic dining plan. :cool1: But I have a question about drinks at the resort cs dining.
When we eat a counter service meal at our resort, we always "purchase" a bottle of water as the drink with our counter service meal. We keep the bottle of water to use the next day or later at the parks. For the meal, we fill up our mugs with soft drinks or tea.
Now my question is, since the mugs now come with the DDP, are you still able to get the bottle of water with your meal, or do you have to use your resort mug as the drink for the meal? Do they not let you get another bottled or packaged drink since you have the mug?
I hope this makes sense. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, you still get a beverage included with your DDP meal, and you can still make it a bottled beverage.

Good question- never thought of that. I guess they couldn't take away the drink option- because not everyone drinks soft drinks or tea. I know my daughter will not. She only drinks milk or apple juice. Glad they did'nt take away that option, because we do the same as you. We fill our mugs with the meak, and take the water to the park.

As far as I know, milk and juice are not available for the refillable mugs, is that a new thing?

I think she was saying she fills her mug with the "meal" and gets the milk for her DD with the drink entitlement.:thumbsup2

I don't think that's what she said Nala...

Sounds like she said -
Hopefully they don't take away the bottle drink option, as my daughter does not drink soft drinks or tea. Therefore we use the drink option to get the milk or juice (that is not included in the resort mugs)
I am completley parapharsing and re-wording what she said, but that's how I read what she was trying to say. :)

I never read it as that, I read it as his daughter only drinks milk and juice so it's a good job this is still an option on the ddp with the meal credit. If I read that wrong then its great news if milk is now available in the refil mugs but I don't think it is...:)

Now that I know that "meak" was "meal" and not "milk" I think I got it.

We have always done this. If we ate at the resort, we'd fill our mugs and then get milks for our son who was only drinking whole milk at the time. When we stayed at Pop Century, we'd fill the recycle can with ice (and keep it in the tub) and put the milk in there. We'd have plenty of ice cold milk for him each day! :)
