MSEP from the castle bridge?

I'm helping a friend plan a Disney trip, and she read or heard somewhere that if she has a CRT reservation at the right time then she could watch MSEP "from the bridge" (assume she means the ramp/bridge up to the castle). Anyone know if this is possible and/or what time would be best if it is?

From my experience the ramp/bridge on either side of the castle which leads into the castle (I'm assuming that is what she means) has always been closed to guests due to stage shows. And honestly the view from there wouldn't be that great. This is all in my opinion, someone else might know something that I missed.

A look at the MK Parade Route-

Disney's (MS) Electrical Parade starts near the Firehouse and exits near Splash Mtn.
The 3 O'Clock Parade (Festival of Fantasy) and both the MVMCP and MNSSHP parades start near Spalsh Mtn. and exit near the Firehouse.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents, or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears. (But, from those locations you won't be able to see the spectacular, not-to-be-missed show that is actually projected on the front of the Castle, "Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.)

We have enjoyed sitting at a table up against the wall at Sleepy Hollow with funnel cakes and coffee to watch the MSEP. It's not a perfect show, but no one is in front of you and you see it going across the bridge.

Another great spot is the decks around the trees in Frontierland (in front of the shooting gallery). You can sit on the deck waiting for the parade and let people get in front of you at the rope, and they won't obstruct your view. You can always stand on the deck to get a really great view. That area only has space for one or two deep so it's comfortable.

Last year, we watched the parade from a little spot with small tables/seating by a bridge near the castle. Cannot remember the spot's "name" but it was located just across from the Christmas Shoppe (Liberty Square/Fantasyland area). Nobody blocked us as we were seated next to a railing by the water. Those who had seating sat and a few people stood in one area, but we were still able to see perfectly as the floats crossed the bridge.
