My Great Experience with MS

Called on 7/6/04 @ 9:02 am, no waiting on hold, Vanessa answered. She did the following:

1. Confirmed reservation and requests for 7/18/2004 trip to SSR.

2. Booked OKW 1 bedroom for last minute trip 10/31 - 11/5 (waitlisted for room on 11/4)

3. Booked SSR 2 bedroom for trip May 2005.

She explained the banking and borrowing of points used to make all my reservations. Explained cancellation policy. Explained how my 11/4 waitlist would work.

Hung up @ 9:17 am - 15 minutes start to finish.

Vanessa called me back @ 9:50 am today - my waitlist for 11/4 came through. OKW 1 bedroom - she linked ressie so we won't have to move.

We have only been members for 3 months and I have booked 3 trips for the next 12 months - have to get $$ worth out of APs. DH is ready to kill me - but I am having the best time with planning and reading the DIS boards.

Me too, me too!

Just got of the phone with MS - I was on hold 3 minutes.

Just snagged a 1 BR at VWL for Thanksgiving week this year (altho I'm waitlisted for Thanksgiving Day itself.) This was a call on a whim ... four months out ... at a holiday period.

Tell me that's not magic. Ye have not because ye ask not!

LOL, gritzel4! I think lots of us have been through that stage ("DH ready to kill me"), but fortunately, I think most of them do get over it. Mine did.

Went to see some fireworks this past weekend and had to wait about 90 minutes. DH actually said to me "And I bet they won't be Disney!".

Planned on neither the MSSSHP or w/f festival. We live in NJ and have been reading about "Jersey Week" here on the boards. There is a NJ teachers convention every year in November and the kids have to only miss 3 days of school. My BIL - who live 45 minutes from WDW - birthday is Halloween and we are surprising him for trick-or-treating.

We will be checking out the w/f festival while we are there but I have no idea what it is about.

the wine and food festavial is at Epcot around the World Showcase - you can taste different foods and wines from $1 to $5 per serving -

although you might want to do this on parent's night out.......

They are awesome with us newbies!

I just got off the phone and we are now going between Christmas and New Years!

They are so patient and helpful! Now I don't have the dilema with tickets anymore! I can now activate my PAP for our Oct/Nov trip and use them for our Dec Trip!

Here's hoping that MS does some magic in mid October when I call for Dec. 18 - 23rd to use up some holding account points. I hope I'm posting about how much I love MS at that time!

We are taking a cruise Jan 3 - 7 and are flying into Orlando on Dec. 31st.
I decided to try and get a room at VWL for one night before the long drive to Miami. I doubted I would get it but was pleasantly surprised today when she said they had a studio available New Years Eve.
I am not telling the family until we get there that they will be at WDW for New years.
I am hoping to get an Illuminations cruise at 90 days out to make the night magic

I also had a nice encounter with MS today. Only was hold about 5 mins. I didn't think that was too bad since they had been closed for the 3 day week-end. Was able to get a ressie for a studio at BWV (first choice) for a week-end in September. Since I borrowed points, she was very helpful in explaining the cancellation policy, holding account, etc.

Member Services is the BEST!!! When DD got married, we put up 32 people in 7 different rooms at OKW (several studios, 1BRs, 2BRs and a Grand Villa). Making these reservations involved banking and borrowing of points and Member Services was extremely helpful. THe best part, however, was that they also made air reservations for 28 people from New Jersey to Orlando and had the tickets delivered to our room at OKW (we happened to be in OKW when we made all the reservations) by 5 p.m. that nite - almost as good as a private wedding coordinator!!!!!
