OMG what a almost mess. Okay let this be a lesson learned for all of us. READ THOSE RESERVATION LETTERS CLOSELY. To make a long stressful story short.....READ THOSE LETTERS. Anway...I had booked a cash night at OKW for this Sat. July 19th to go with our points days Sun-Thurs. I did this on June 18th. Well a couple of months before that ....I had booked Friday and Sat. originally, but we decided to not go before Sunday the 20th...... but apparently I only cancelled Sat. SO when I called that day on June 18th to book Sat. the 19th the MS person said "do you still want the 18th because you have that reserved". I told her no I don't want that at all. So she cancelled that. I was so thankful she caught that and I remember telling her that. Well the confirmation came in and I glanced at it...and didn't catch UNTIL TODAY....THAT IT HAD US ARRIVING FOR TWO NIGHTS ON CASH. I flipped out. I called and was hoping my paper was just wrong...but it wasn't. She was very nice but wasn't sure if she could cancel it since you are supposed to cancel out 5 days prior to arrival. Well this 2br on cash was 472.00 plus tax. So YEAH I WAS STRESSSSSSINNNGGGGGGGGGGGGG. She came back on the phone and said "my supervisor used some magic pixie dust and was able to cancel the 18th"
OH was I relieved....and did I ever thank her and her supervisor for this.
I learned MANY LESSONS from this.
1. Make your reservation, check it twice, check the paper when it comes in and call back at least a week before a trip if staying on cash and make sure all is good.
2. STOP MAKING SO MANY CHANGES TO RESERVATIONS.
I had a cash reservation for a night that I thought was cancelled already....arriving tomorrow instead of Sat. SO we were going to be charged for a night we weren't there for.
