So here's the deal I have 12 consecutive nights booked at the BWV in a standard view studio. Same 3 people are on the ressie for all 12 nights. The 1st 2 nights (july13-15th) were booked at 7 months using AKV points. The last 10 nights (July 15-25th) were booked at 11 months using BWV points. When I booked the 1st 2 nights at 7 months the girl I spoke with said she would link them for me some wouldn't have to switch rooms. Ok so far so good. A few days ago I called to add a room request and ask in the ressies were still linked she said yes. So now to today where I called MS cause something told me to double check this and the man I spoke to said they are not linked and they can't be linked since they are under the same membership number (all of our points at AKV and BWV have the same use year and membership number) -this is the part I don't understand. I understand they can not be combined under one reservation since they are using different resorts points. He said he added a note that it is a continuing reservation and to mention it at check in and we'll just prolly have to switch room keys-which I assumed we would have to do anyway. My question is does this make sense to anyone else or am I just misundertanding how linked ressies work? Also would you recommend I do online check in for the first part of the trip or just wait till I get to the resort?? I really dont want to have to switch rooms. Thanks.
Bill
thank you for all the responses and Good luck to anyone who wants to link their continuing reservations LOL!
Then she came back on the phone and said she had cancelled the new reservation and added the night to the original reservation. I thought it was strange that she didn't just link them but didn't think to ask why (probably because I was still recovering from my shock at seeing my reservation for a Standard View room during F&W get cancelled!)
ANyway, I had made 3 days at my 11 month window and 3 days at my 7 month window. In addition, I had a cash night.
