I watched this on the WB Thursday night at 8pm and it was very good! Now my problem is -- Survivor, Friends, and Family Affair all on at the same time -- Ugh!
BURBANK, CA (September 13, 2002) - The WB's FAMILY AFFAIR officially kicked off the network television season and scored the highest ratings in the Thursday 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET time period for The WB among total viewers (4.6 million), households (2.9/5), adults 18-49 (1.6/5) and women 18-49 (2.2/7) since the two-hour premiere of Charmed on October 4, 2001. Excluding that special Charmed, it was the network's best performance in the time period in total viewers since March 2001, and the best since May '01 in adults 18-49 and women 18-49, when Gilmore Girls occupied the time period. FAMILY AFFAIR scored a 1.7/7 in kids 2-11, which was a time-period best since the premiere of Gilmore Girls on October 5, 2000.

The total viewer figure was up nearly 2 million viewers (64%) compared to last season's premiere of Popstars 2. The family comedy was also up significantly over last year's Popstars 2 premiere in households (2.9/5, up +45%), adults 18-49 (1.6/5, up +45%), women 18-49 (2.2/7, up +47%), men 12-34 (+71%), men 18-34 (+29%) and men 18-49 (+50%) as well as more than doubling its kids 2-11 delivery (1.7/7, up +113%). The new program maintained the Popstars 2 premiere delivery in Adults 18-34 (1.3/4).

The series premiere also scored extremely well in many major markets, including New York, where it ranked #3 in its time period with a 6.6/11, Chicago, where it was #1 with a 8.6/15, Philadelphia, where it was #3 with a 5.6/9, Boston, where it was #3 with a 4.0/7, Phoenix, where it was #2 with a 4.1/7, Denver, where it was #2 with a 6.2/11, Orlando, where it was #1 with a 9.7/14, St. Louis, where it was #3, with a 5.0/8, San Diego, where it was #3 with a 4.6/7, Salt Lake City, where it was #3 with a 3.7/7 and Jacksonville, where it was #2 with a 6.1/9.

I want to see this because I love Tim Curry, but with the conflict of Survivor (and currently BB3)...ugh....

I think I am going to have to set up all of my VCR's so I can tape 2 while I am watching one!

Being a fan of the original Family Affair I thought this one was good but the original was BETTER!

there was nothing like Sebastian Cabot as MR. French!!!!
I really like the orginal Mrs Beasley better!! I still have mine although the voice no longer works!

I agree. And did you notice that the kids in the pilot episode have been replaced for the rest of the episodes? The preview of the next episode showed different kids - much younger than the ones in the premiere. The new ones will, however, have red hair like the original series.
