Happy New Year everyone.


I hope everyone enjoyed their new years eve. We went to our best friends house straight after our show at the theatre. They had cooked us a yummy Thai meal and then we stayed in and sipped champagne until about 12:30 and then went to bed. It was a nice quiet night and we managed to plan a little more of our next Disney trip whilst we were there too.

I guess I should be going. I need to prepare for the theatre once more. Tonight is our last night so I hope it is a good show.

We actually stayed at the party until 12:30am. Lauren was fabulous. No nap yesterday and made it that late. What a trooper

We closed on our house yesterday (we got money back too!) and we went to bed soon after midnight so we could be up early to start ripping up carpet.

Today and tomorrow will be trip organizing (bought some new clothes yesterday!!!) and going to the movies. Yes, movies plural, have a mess I still want to see. Today's will involve music, courtesy of Kevin Spacy and Gerard Butler. Have to call PixieMagic and TigersPal in a little while and coordinate times and locations.

Blue Bayou, I did find the Zurg and Delswife trip reports shortly after I posted.....finally figured they'd be on a link somewhere and if not, I was ready to head to the Lodge looking for them.

Ugh, just woke up... I'm not a morning person!!

Last night we were going to go see "National Treasure," but it was sold out! So instead we saw "Finding Neverland." That is sooooo sad! But very good, I recommend it!! Then we went to Wal-Mart at about 9:30 at night... there were actually a fair amount of people there! We left at about 10, came home, played Monopoly till about 1:30. I didn't fall asleep till a little after 2, though. Ugh... I have a headache!! It might be from the one half glss I had of champagne last night!!

Today we're watching the Cotton Bowl as well as the Rose Parade (Gig 'em Aggies!!). I might go shopping because there are some good sales going on, but I haven't decided yet!

Last night my Dad was feeling better and we went to Sweet Tomotoes for dinner and then back to his apartment and talked. BTW did I mention that his "friend' misunderstood his request and she and he are still caregiver and patient..oh well.. Today is football and cleaning and laundry.

I stayed up all night---Jessie couldn't sleep well with the noise makers (fireworks, guns, pots/pans banging). NC Beast says hi and Happy New Year---he's exercising before he gets some sleep. He is covering tonight for a co-worker. He missed out on talking to his family 2 nights in a row.

We are having our lucky black-eyed peas tonight with our pork tenderloin and other veggies.

Geffric---I'm glad that your Dad is doing better.

NC Beast challenged me this morning--we were munching on goodies and mixed nuts (still in shell)---to break open walnuts, almonds, and pecans with only my fist. I karate chopped them, but now my hand hurts like crazy. There wasn't any adult beverage involved either.

Hmmmm... that was quite a challange, i don't know if I could do that but DS#1 could.. LOL

so the boys are playing PS2 StarWars Battlefront.. DH is playing solitare in the 'puter and the cat is out romping in the mud... and I am on the last load of laundry for the day. Then off to the grocery store. The house is a mess with all 3 boys home this past week and Mom at work.. but I don't feel like cleaning too much besides the kitchen and the bathrooms ..Especially since we have Monday off work and the kids are in school so I have all day to clean and sort etc..

What a great day I had! Two great movies with my best pal and a nice lunch at the Elephant Bar in between (wings and salad). Beyond the Sea was GREAT. I know most of you are too young to remember Bobby Darin, but Kevin Spacy did an excellent job portraying him. I was very impressed with Phantom also. I think I mentioned that this isn't my favorite Andrew Lloyd Weber, and the production I had seen was pretty boring. The movie version really moved me....couple of sniffles happening here and there. And, well, there was Gerard, of course!

Got my town car arranged...went with Southern Elegance Limousines
LOOK AT MY COUNTDOWN TIMER!!! And that's for race day, I actuall go in 5 1/2 days!!!!!!

Ok, off to throw a steak or pork chop on the grill. Hope everyone had a great first day of the year.

It looks like Jordan has grown some since we last saw him in August. I didn't know dogs could go on tours. I don't think Jessie is ready to be a tourist yet.

Ohana---did you see the great end to the game? NC Beast was on the phone with my Dad (who is an alumni) when the last field goal occured. My Dad was estatic.
