Good Sunday morning!!!

Today is our town's 4th of July parade and fireworks. This is one of Stephanie's most favorite day's of the year . She gets to sit on a firetruck and throw out candy. Katie and I are going to sit in the squad with Kevin because Katie would not be able to handle all the sirens on top of the engine Then after the parade my entire family is coming over to my house for sandwichs. We are going to break out some games and just hang out until we leave for the fireworks

So, today will be a pretty active day!!!




This DIS Meet yesterday was great!!! I just love going to these!! I'm thinking about being the hostess for the next one . I sure wish that we all lived closer together because I would love to meet you all in person


geffric - It was so nice to meet you in person yesterday I felt so comfortable with you, like we've seen each other many times before. I hope we are able to see each other at future DIS Meets so we can visit again.


Well, I gotta run and clean some bathrooms before my family comes over - have a great day everyone!!!

Hi everyone..

I went to the DIS meet yesterday and it was great fun, we saw CARS first and then meet at the food court and chatted and chatted. I meet SLO and Stephanie. It was great.

Then today, geoff went to the natrue center and is deciding on an EAGLE project. Then we went to an EAGLE ceremony for a scout they we have known since cub scouts. Saw lots of friends from the cub scout pack that we haven't seen in a loong time.

Good Monday morning!!

We had a great afternoon yesterday. Kevin drove the 1939 fire engine, "the antique", for the kids to sit on the back and throw candy. I sat in the front by him with Katie. Katie attempted to throw candy, but it never went very far

Then my family came over for dinner. It was such a great day that we ate outside and played bean bags. I was hoping for warmer weather so we could use the pool, but we still had fun!!

Then my mom, my SIL, the girls and I went to fireworks. Unfortunately for that, it started to rain, but it was still okay. We watched from my car and sat under the back hatch door, and we didn't get wet. So.....it was a good day!!!!

Today I have to go to work I would much rather stay home!!!

QOTD - what is everyone doing for July 4th weekend?

I have a 4 day weekend and so do the boys.. but DH said that we can't go anywhere.. I wanted to go to Cedar Point and ride coasters. So I have been thinking of "fun" things around the house.. maybe a downtown trip/tasteof chicago/Ghiredellis/Navy Pier..Sox game? If I don't plan something, we will end up staying around the house and working on house projects. Hmmm..

I just got back a business trip and it was NOT as fun as the whole Orlando trip I went on in February.

I was in HOTlanta! I got to see my college roommate and her family and well, that was about the highlight. Travel was tres terreeeblh this weekend and I am exhausted.

Hi

Welcome ilovepcot pull up a chair and join us. We are very heavy on chcolate we have a chocolate vault to keep our goodies in and an IV setup incase you don't feel like walking,; but that does include Chocolate 'Tini's, Chocolate "ritas, chocolate beer, red wine wrapped in chocolate and chocolate vodka.

The boys are off to Scout meeting and I am working on the driving part of the trip , then I'll pick the camp grounds, and events.Mesa Verde, Durango, Chimney Rock, Taos, Philmont, Cimarron, and points inbetween..
Have you ever been to Mesa Verde? How many days do I plan there?

Maybe to help me ponder, I wander into the chocolate vault and take an inventory.

geffric - I've been to the Mesa Verde and Durango, but I don't remember much to tell you how many days to plan there I went on vacation there with my family about 12 years ago.

Everyone..

Geffric - that's a great part of the country. We stayed in Durango one night - but we were heading up to Silverton, Ouray (my favorite)... then over to Utah. We came up from the New Mexico area - I personally don't care much for "high" dessert landscaping/topography so I was really happy in Silverton area. (Known as Little Switzerland). But you'll have a wonderful trip! There are some lovely sites in this here - country!!!

We are heading up to Wyoming this August and of course our Cruise in November (me and sister). I am really excited about the Grand Teton trip...

We will hopefully be using our DSL tomorrow---I hope that a cute lineman/repair guy gets it right.

NC Beast has a long weekend this weekend! He has th 4th off on the actual night---too bad he can't have our anniversary off. We will celebrate somehow this weekend---maybe we recreate our first meal that we had after the reception. We won't have that hard of time to recreate it since it was whopper combos at Burger King. Hey---it was fast and near the car wash and hotel areas.

I am wanting some soda so bad plus fries and M&Ms. I'm trying to only do real junk food 1 day a week. I've got what 83 days (9/20 @ 11am on our planned DS/Epcot day) until I probably get my No Way Jose fix with a cherry diet coke at Beaches and Cream. 82 days until Dole whip float or other MK treat if we have time.
