TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!

castlegazer - that is so cool about your screen name being used in the new WDW ad :cool1: . I haven't seen this ad yet, but you can bet I will pay attention to it when I do see it. Your screen name is very creative!!! :flower:

Have a good day everyone and talk to you all later!!!
I agree. How cool is that? I wonder if they will use CMOM in their next add?? hehehe

Off to Gainesville this weeknd. Hoping all have a safe trip to the world.

Anyone hear from Geffric??????

Hey guys!

castlegazer, I'll have to watch for the new WDW ads. Maybe after they use cheeringmom, they'll use deadheadbelle. I can see it now...Belle comes out with a tie dye shirt & hippie skirt, rings on her fingers & bells on her shoes rockin' out to Uncle John's Band. Now THAT would be a cool ad.

ohana, when we went to CA this summer, our seats were switched around on 1 of our 4 flights. It wasn't as big of a deal as yours though. DH got moved one row behind me & the kids instead of in front of us, next to my parents, as originally booked. I hope you get to go! I hope Wilma steers clear of Punta Gorda, too.

kadaten, I love the picture in your signature. I don't think I've seen that one before.

Have a great day!

:wave2: Nope! It's a new one. Just changed it yesterday or the day before....I forget. That's the kiddos on their very first day of school this year, August 1. Of course, we just got Abbie's hair chopped 3 weeks ago, so she already looks different. She's got bangs again :) Lemme see if I can upload one of those....

Here's the new do:

Lewski709 - we had the worst travel experience ever flying into Sanford. Its a nice little airport and John Travolta keeps his plane there, but its a little airport. The car rental counters shut down after 5pm, the airport itself closes, and there are very few taxis. Here's my story - and its pretty horrific.

Our flight was delayed due to losing an engine over Virginia and having to make an emergency landing in Norfolk, VA - yup, losing an engine, like it freakin fell off, and I told you the worst part was Sanford - so we had to wait for the next flight of Pan Am coming down from Manchester, VT because these little airlines only have one or two planes - no ability to just send a new plane on to pick you up. So we had news crews interviewing us about the emergency landing and finally the other flight of this airline for the day landed to pick us up - now landing at an airport that you have no agreement with (again, little airlines only have cooperation agreements with very few airports) is a major problem so this took another hour to work out to let that plane come to the terminal to get us - they actually had to tell ius their lawyers were involved. When we loaded on, the other passengers who thought they had a direct flight down were none too pleased with us - as if it was our freakin fault.

So after all this mayhem, we get into Sanford at 2 am - originally scheduled for a noon arrival time. I guess we just damn lucky we got in at all.

Therefore, our car rental companies were closed and would not open until 9 am the next morning, there were no taxis, and the airport was closed. Therefore we were facing sleeping on the curb - and I kid you not, they locked the doors and kicked us out of the airport with no help getting us to anywhere.

My husband was off desperately trying to call limo services or taxi companies to no avail (cell service was wicked spotty too) when one of our fellow passengers came by in their minivan and asked if they could give us a ride somewhere.

Holy angels!!!!! They drove us 5 miles to the nearest hotel and thank God we could get a room because it was only a few days before Daytona 500. So we paid for that room and our room in Disney and had to stick around the next morning until 10 am because the damn rental company said they'd open at 9 but they forgot to tell us that the guy who ran the franchise liked to stop for coffee, some breakfast and would make it in when he could. :guilty:

This is the reason I will never, never, again fly a small airline into Sanford - and especially if I am travelling with small children. It is so not worth it.

I hope tons of people do use Allegiant because we need it to stay here and help us economically as a city, but you probably won't find me on it. Southwest for me, baby!
HOLY TORPEDOS! I can't even imagine the pure hell I would have raised because of that happening. I would probably have been refunded my money and gotten a free trip out of them. You handled it very nicely, IMO.

On our return last December, they had me and Tye together (well...they had to because he was a lap baby) and Grant by himself and Bill by himself. No biggie. We went up and told them our 5yr old could not sit by himself and they switched us. It was just about being nice, I think. We didn't know anyone. :flower:

Good evening everyone!!! I just got back from volunteering at the Fun Fair at Stephanie's school (for all that don't know, Stephanie is my 7yr old) and I thought I would stop by and say hello before going to bed.

kadaten - the photos of your children are very nice - you have beautiful children. Stephanie just got her hair cut almost the same length as your DD's - it might be just a hair longer. Unfortunately though for her I have to use a flat iron on her hair everyday to get her hair to look nice and straight like your DD's - but she would rather have that anyday before having her hair long again and me braiding it all the time

Well, talk to you later everyone - Goodnight!!!!

Hey Slo, sounds like you had fun...

Hi Lewski, Yep, I actually posted the AA regs on the other thread. a 5YO cannot fly by himself. They had to put you together. My deal, on the other hand, was that since RRBB was next to him, they could seperate us. We have asked to sit together before, and USUALLY the person sitting next to her or me would move... I mean, who wants to sit next to a mommie and screaming baby (Ian doesn't usually scream, but mommy knows how to make that happen on que;)) I am sure that they would have moved. What infuriated me to the point of wanting to call in a favor was the row 10/row32 difference, and I had been changed from an aisle to a window. It just was "Unacceptable" as the SuperNannie would say. Also, it is more of knowing the right dept to call for this one. Again, the agent refused to even try to help.....

Oh well, RRBB is almost finished packing, IAN is sleeping, rollingaround in his crib, and I have just finished paying some bills... The Dragons are next to their Baclpack.

Time for a good-night...

Chocoalte Dreames for all.

Good morning everyone and Happy Saturday!!!

Good Morning. Well, this morning came too early. I had to be at wotk by 7, and I didn't get to bed until almost 2;00 am.

Oh well, I guess I will get back to work so I CAN LEAVE FOR WDW IN 9 1/2 HOURS!!!!!!
See Y'all around.

Aw, thanks! And before you think I'm lucky, we also have to style her hair every morning. We don't do the flat iron....but use the round brush and hair dryer to get it smooth and tuck the ends under. Otherwise it's all tussled and mousy and yucky looking, and I just can't bear to have her look like that!

That picture is actually right after we got home from the salon. Yes, she goes to the salon with me :) Loves to have her hair washed in the sink and get treated like a big girl :) So, right before we went to Mexico we both went in--I got my toes done while she got a cut and had her toes polished :)

CUTE... I said it before, and I'll say it again... we have the cutest children on this thread.....

:faint: I can't imagine the princessing for little girls. I am in for a rude awakening if this is a girl. I adore my two boys, so NOT primpry. I'll be so lost for a girl.

::yes:: Rude awakening may be an understatement! Not only do we have to "do" her hair every day.....many mornings we can't leave without a puff of powder on her nose 'cause she has watched her grandmothers doll up so much (not me, notice!) that she thinks she can't leave the house without some makeup! princess: It's all quite fun, though! When she was first born I was accused of treating her like a doll 'cause I just loved to dress her up in all the cute little outfits! :p

I really wanted 2 girls, but since Abbie's hair takes more time than mine to do (!), I'm kinda glad Walt's requires absolutely NO styling. We keep it nice and short and wash it when he takes a bath. That's all the styling he gets. Now, I have been known to spike it for photos, but again....that's a dab of gel and 5 seconds to run my hands through the front. Love that low-maintenance head of hair of his! :cool2:

:faint: you aren't helping Katie. ;)

Hanging in there? How's the weather now?
