Mr. and Mrs. Weak Sauce Go the Distance (a completed Disneymoon TR!)

Multiple updates! Fun!

We recently tried out the Columbia Harbour House for the first time and it is now our new favorite!!

We haven't managed to see the Main Street Philharmonic yet! Another thing to add to the list.

Catching up!! Sounds like an idyllic MK afternoon! :goodvibes Love the photos of the windows in Liberty Square...there are so many lovely Disney details! And yum yum, I love CHH. I always have a hard time deciding between the lighthouse sandwich and the brocolli peppercorn salad...so tasty! :thumbsup2

I had no idea we'll be at Disney at the same time - so fun!! We should try to meet up! :)

p.s. I'm totally team marching band. :thumbsup2

Great updates!:goodvibes

CHH gets such great reviews but no one in my family ever wants to go there. I think I'll devise a vigorous touring plan that will end with them starving and dehydrated just outside CHH's door.:scratchin :lmao:

We love almost all forms of music but I'll have to go team chorus on this one. (I was in chorus and orchestra). But the Main St. Philharmonic sounds likes it's well worth stopping for. We'll have to look for them next time.

By the way, those of us who were in the marching band didn't actually join because we wanted to. Being part of band meant being in concert band AND marching band. It was part of the deal!

This describes our school perfectly. You have to do both. My daughter, who will be a freshman is dropping band for this reason. She'd rather not march and just do concert band. Not possible, which kind of stinks. I will miss watching her play the trumpet!

Main Street Philharmonic looks fun! Great pictures! :thumbsup2 I'll have to make sure to watch out for them next time.

Catching up on several of your updates:

You both photographed really well on Buzz. I always look look so super serious. It is really ridiculous!! :)

I ALWAYS sit on the right side of the Doombuggy! I am always afraid the castmember on the conveyerbelt is going to going to go "Boo!" at the last minute.

As one who has an irrational fear, I managed to hide it from my daughter. I hope she has no idea but more importantly she does not have my irrational fear at all!

My car has an attennea. Right now it has the Orange Bird on it.

I do not like the beach either-and we live in Florida!

That sandwich sounds really good!! I don't think I have ever noticed it before. I am always telling my daughter how important it is to have protein at every meal. :)

Enjoying your trip report as always!!

At CHH, those "under construction sheets cover the windows." I was so disappointed.

Little secret about the band guys. There are 3 groups and they rotate every 20 minutes. They pop up and down from certain areas from the Utilidores. Just like the characters, they rotate every 20 minutes.

I was a band geek and I cannot sing. I can play the piano too.

I wonder if those sheets that cover the windows at CHH are gone now that the Tangled bathrooms are done! Wow, I can't even imagine what it would look like from that vantage point because I've gotten so used to it being covered! It'll be interesting sitting on that side and getting a different view while having a relaxing lunch.

Oh wow, I didn't know that about the band guys rotating! That makes a lot of sense because that would be much TOO hot. Does that mean there'd be another "leader" if we watched a different group? I'll have to pay attention if we happen to see them again on a future trip.

Yay for band geeks! Howard and I both sing together on a worship team at church now, and we are also both in the choir, but I think marching band vs. chorus is going to be one of those age ol' "discussions" even when we have kids, haha.

We have never eaten at CHH. It might be because I don't eat a lot of seafood I guess. Lol. I would be willing to give it a try in the future. But this trip we want to try BOG for lunch if we can. :)

CHH is definitely a place worth trying only if you like seafood. Otherwise everything else is pretty standard. I'd like to one day try their clam chowder too! Of course, going when it's super hot out doesn't really make clam chowder seem very appetizing. Be Our Guest doesn't entice me as much for lunch, but I'd LOVE to be able to go for dinner one day! I want that shrimp and scallop dish in the puff pastry. It looks so divine! But of course, since we have a last minute trip, there's nothing available. Plus, I don't know that I'd want to eat something so heavy in June anyway.

I too played the flute! I didn't do band my senior year either. I wanted to have a fun sr year and honestly I wanted to have my weekends that year instead of going to competitions for band. Hahaha. I can still play my flute but the only song I can play on it is the Star Spangled Banner. It was drilled into my head.

Yay for playing the flute! I didn't realize I forgot to write why I stopped playing in the band. My band teacher when I was in 6th and 7th grade left before we got to 8th grade because she moved on to my high school. We were upset that she wasn't going to be there for our "senior" year. Then I had her for my first three years of college, and she retired right before my senior year! I was like, are you serious?!? Because she wasn't there for my senior year, I wasn't as excited to be in it. Plus, I needed to take my semester of health education, and I thought I was going to return after that semester, but I just decided not to because I didn't want to get used to a new teacher and go back to doing parades. It worked out okay though because I was able to join the layout committee of the yearbook staff.

My oldest is in marching band and loves it. We marched at Disney World back in April 2012. The kids had a blast and so did I.

What fun it must be to march in Disney World and be there with friends! My mom said she'd consider it when I was a senior, but I wasn't part of band then so it never came up. I wasn't that close to many of the other band people anyway that weren't in my year, so it wouldn't have been as fun, I don't think. As a senior though, it would've definitely been an experience!

I replied this time in the purple. :)

Haha, Howard hasn't said the "Why do you need another bag?" just yet. The most recent bag I purchased was another LL Bean Boat & Tote. I have two different sizes. I brought the large one with the green handles on the Disneymoon (it's in the airport update) because it can fit a TON. I wanted one to use on Sundays and such, so I bought the medium sized one with black handles. I love how durable they are, and because of those totes, I actually don't feel bad that I didn't get that green and pink Mickey one!

I love CHH! It never seems that crowded and the quality is always high.
Haha, I have to go with Howard on that one! I was also a chorus nerd (was in the madrigal choir), but I do have respect for instrumental musicians! I've never seen that band before, seems worthy of a stop and listen if I do see them in September!

I feel as if CHH is the perfect place to recommend to people who don't think too highly of CS places in Disney World because, as you said, the quality is always high!

Haha, I definitely have respect for those who can sing well. Madrigal choir must've been so much fun! I absolutely love learning parts and hearing them all come together. As I said in another response above, Howard and I are both in our church choir though we've been on a break for a while because everyone always has a million other committments at church. He's a bass, and I'm an alto-turned-soprano just because we didn't have enough sopranos at one point. I think being musical with voices is just as awesome as using instruments, but Howard and I just like defending our high school geekiness, haha.

Found your TR again and catching up on all your updates.

I Love IASW too, I actually like the song for the most part and almost never get sick of it, LOL

I love the Minnie Princess with that cone shaped hat! When I was in HS, I was in the school plays/musicals my last 2 years and one was "Camelot", and one of those hats was part of our Costume, it was so cool! I think I still have it in a closet somewhere.

There was a thread back a while ago on the Theme Parks Community Board (not sure if it is still there) that was called "Is this you" where people would post pics of random people and crowd pics to see if other DISers could see themselves in them. I'll admit I went looking at a few that were around dates of times I was there but never found myself in any of them.

Hope you're enjoying the catching up!

Haha, I don't get sick of the IASW song either! It's just the quintessential Disney experience for me.

Ahhh, how awesome it must have been to have the princess cone hat! We went to Medieval Times recently for a field trip with our middle school kids, and I saw the hats and that little part in me was like, "It's right there!!!" as if it were a long lost treasure!

Oh cool! Imagine if there WAS a picture of you in someone else's picture but it wasn't a flattering photo? I'd be like, um, no, that's NOT me! Hahahaha.

Just caught up...great update! :goodvibes

Thank you!

I haven't posted in forever since I now work from home and it seems like time just gets away from me every day! I love all the updates! AND I'm so excited for your upcoming trip. My husband and I are going with my parents in September and sometimes it's nice to just be the two of us in the parks and sometimes it's nice to have other (Disney loving) people around.

I don't know much about alterations, but maybe you could get that bag and add a zipper? I love having zippered bags. I guess I don't like feeling like all my stuff is "exposed".

That's too funny about your Mom making you clean your room before vacation! Mine did the same thing! And now I drive myself crazy where I'm up at 2 a.m. the night before we leave on vacation cleaning and organizing our house. It just feels so good to come home to a clean house!

I love the rocking chairs! I never even noticed them there. One of my favorite spots in all of MK is on Tom Sawyer's Island where the rocking chairs are down by the water in that covered area next to the little restaurant that's never open. It's so quiet and peaceful!

I love all the little facts around Disney. I always point out the 13 lanterns on the big tree by the Christmas shop in Liberty Square and sometimes, depending on who I'm with, I'll see them quietly trying to count the lanterns like I'm just making this stuff up :lmao:.

Can't wait for more! And if you don't get a chance to post again before you go, have a safe and fun anniversary trip!! Oh, and happy belated anniversary! My how time flies...

Oh how I want to work from home! I just think being able to be productive without having to worry about health issues would be so great although I'm sure I'd get caught up doing a million other things at home instead of focusing. I'd probably spend more time on DIS than I should!

I definitely would have considered altering that bag to add a zipper, but I now have a smaller sized LL Bean Boat & Tote! I brought the large size on the Disneymoon, and then I recently got the medium. I love the durability of them so much that it makes not having the Mickey one a-okay!

That's probably why I feel that way! It'll be nice to come home to a clean apartment though I'm pretty sure that we're not going to be able to get everything clean before we actually leave because I have the end-of-the-school-year crunch. But it's crazy thinking about how much worse it would be if we haven't been cleaning these past few weekends!

I know those Tom Sawyer Island rocking chairs too! So relaxing there! Howard and I had fun at one point waving at all the people passing by on the Liberty Belle!

Haha, come to think of it, I've never counted the lanterns myself even though I knew that 13 colonies thing!

Thanks for the well wishes! I'm sure I will definitely appreciate the trip even more because I don't have to come back and go to work!

Multiple updates! Fun!

We recently tried out the Columbia Harbour House for the first time and it is now our new favorite!!

We haven't managed to see the Main Street Philharmonic yet! Another thing to add to the list.

It's crazy how in the past, I used to bypass Liberty Square so easily other than for the stop at Haunted Mansion. Who would have thought that one of my favorite CS places would be CHH! I'm really so appreciative of DIS for letting me know about all the great things about the area.

:thumbsup2

I just saw your TR update about the broccoli peppercorn salad! Definitely sounds like another great choice for the hotter weather. I absolutely love raw broccoli!

We should definitely try to meet up! I think that'd be so much fun especially since I distinctly remember reading your TRs when I first started out on DISboards! I remember thinking that it was amazing how I could be so entertained by everything you had to say and all your pictures even when your mom didn't want you to post your face or your brothers' faces online. Of course, I also remember all of your AG dolls too and how much I just LOVED them because they were the one thing from my childhood that I admired but never got. I treasured those AG catalogs! And let's not forget how much I love your blog now. We can keep in contact on Twitter (@loveandsushi) while we're there to see if any of our park days match!

Woohoo to team marching band~!

Great updates!:goodvibes

CHH gets such great reviews but no one in my family ever wants to go there. I think I'll devise a vigorous touring plan that will end with them starving and dehydrated just outside CHH's door.:scratchin :lmao:

Hahaha, your plan to have your family starving and dehydrated right outside CHH's door sounds like a good one! I mean, the extreme hunger and lack of water is for their own good in the long run, right? Right! Hope you get to try it soon!

My husband will be happy to know that there are some on team chorus with him!

I completely understand why we needed to do both because otherwise there'd be no one in marching band! I wish that wasn't a necessity though because it is concert band where you learn how to play the instrument well!

Definitely make a stop to watch the Philharmonic especially since your daughter played the trumpet! I love the sound of the brass instruments even though I was a woodwind.

That sandwich sounds really good!! I don't think I have ever noticed it before. I am always telling my daughter how important it is to have protein at every meal. :)

Enjoying your trip report as always!!

Haha, we pose for the camera, so that's the only reason why we don't look super serious. In reality, I'd probably have a furrowed brow or something because I take it way too seriously!

YES! I too am afraid that the cast member will know that I'm scared and will purposely try to scare me! I worry about that more in the stretching room! I make sure it's not really possible for the CM to sneak up behind me! I would actually scream and then start crying!

What is your irrational fear? I have way too many!

The beach is just not as nice as it seems to sound when others go because I hate getting sand everywhere and not having an opportunity to get out of the sun! I guess I just don't like the sun very much. I do think I need to give it another chance though but at a beach on an island ... with a nice canopy!

Haha, I will probably end up telling my kids that they too need to have protein with every meal! It does make sense though because when I don't have any sort of protein in the morning with my breakfast, I am STARVING by 2nd period! I used to always have a lot of peanut butter in the morning on waffles or toast or on a spoon, but now it gives me heartburn so I actually have a bit more difficulty getting enough protein in the morning.

Thanks! Hopefully, I can get some new updates posted pretty soon!

Kiss! I wonder if Snow White had bad breath after being out for so long. I mean, I can sometimes get "nap breath" and feel so grimy from a quick nap! Haha, is that too much information? I'm sure it happens to the majority of you too so I don't feel so bad, haha.
:lmao: This is why I love your TRs. You always have these random tangents some related to the post and some not. :thumbsup2

Love your ride photos! RIP Snow White Scary Adventures.

CHH is one of our faves too. We love sitting in the same section overlooking everyone walking into Frontierland & Haunted Mansion. :goodvibes

I have heard many good things about the Lighthouse sandwich, so I think I may need to try that. I love CCH and eating upstairs is the best! I love the view and you got great pictures.

Too funny about the chorus vs marching band debate. I agree that playing an instrument takes a little more skill unless you are a trained vocalist like those folks in the Voice of Liberty. That has always been my Disney dream job. They are amazing.

I played flute from 4th through 11th grade as well. I didn't play for many years, but now play at church on a regular basis. I absolutely love playing my flute and wished I had continued on in college. I also play piccolo in a fire company marching band. We still do competitions. In fact, we marched for the inaugural parade 4 years ago (Joe Biden being from Delaware).

Enjoyed your updates. Looks like a beautiful day!

Hi there! Just discovered your trip report, and quickly read the whole thing! Love it! Congratulations - can't wait for more updates!

Hello, I'm obviously super late to this TR but wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying it

Also, congratulations and also Happy 1st Anniversary (see, told you I was late)

Lastly, wanted to thank you for posting pictures of the Vision House - we are currently in plans to remodel our bathroom and are thinking of using the sinks in your picture of the Vision Bathroom :)

i never thought Id be able to Disney solo but I did it once while my dad was working and my brother and sister did not want to go with me. So technically I had no choice, and I wanted to go so bad. Riding the bus alone was the most awkward experience for me.

Aww, so sweet to hear how Peter Pan ride has been apart of your relationship.

That's exciting you'll be going back to Disney earlier than you expected. I'm excited to have a Disney day with my dad and DBF's family but that means I probably won't be able to attend the DISmeet on the 20th. Maybe on your next trip we can meet up :)

I don't think it's weird seeing other adults stand in line for kiddie rides because I do it too. Although it's been awhile since I've rode IASW. Thanks for sharing all the great pictures.

LOL about your "argument" I don't know which side to take... I was in chorus and was on Marionette team that danced while marching band played during half time. While I didn't play an instrument, I like being on the field with the band. In short all experiences were pretty fun.

You ever think that it might be possible to catch other DISers in random photos like this? How funny would it be to be reading a TR and going, "OMG, that's me!"

We were spotted on the Poly beach one time by a DISer who was I think hanging out in the club lounge in Hawaii. She posted the picture, and sure enough, there we were! Also, when some website filmed the unofficial opening day of Fantasyland, we were in that video. We were out in front of Gaston's Tavern. Both of these times, other DIS people spotted us and told us about it, though. I have never just seen a random, unexpected picture of any of our crew when reading a trip report. That would be cool!

Haha, I'm glad you always enjoy my random tangents!

We went to our favorite spot at CHH last week, and it was all blocked off because they were doing construction on the CHH building itself. It was kind of sad not being able to sit there! Food still tasted great though, haha.

I have heard many good things about the Lighthouse sandwich, so I think I may need to try that. I love CCH and eating upstairs is the best! I love the view and you got great pictures.

Enjoyed your updates. Looks like a beautiful day!

I just had the Lighthouse sandwich again last week! It's just so satisfying because I don't have to feel sick at all. They stopped giving the bag of potato chips though and put on the homemade ones. They're so much better! I love them a lot. They're like the ones that Pop Century has at their food court (and other places, I'm sure). Of course, that meant that I felt the grease a tiny bit because normally I don't eat my chips there. So delicious though!

YES, the folks in Voices of Liberty are amazing! They use their voices as instruments, and I know that requires a lot of training! I envy people with voices like that.

Oh cool! I tried piccolo a few times but was extremely unsuccessful. I guess I could never get my mouth small enough or something. I also had braces when I tried, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. We were all intrigued by it because it would mean a smaller instrument to take to parades (not that the flute was heavy or anything!). When we had rainy days, my friend who played the piccolo would just pop it up her uniform sleeve while our instruments got wet! Blah!

Hi there! Just discovered your trip report, and quickly read the whole thing! Love it! Congratulations - can't wait for more updates!

Yay! So glad you're here! I hope to get more updates up on a more regular basis now that the school year is over.

All caught up! I have to say, I side with Howard on the chorus vs. band debate. ;)

Haha, he'll be happy to know that he's got some people on his side!

Hello, I'm obviously super late to this TR but wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying it

Lastly, wanted to thank you for posting pictures of the Vision House - we are currently in plans to remodel our bathroom and are thinking of using the sinks in your picture of the Vision Bathroom :)

Yay! So glad you're here to enjoy all the craziness! Thanks for anniversary wishes. We're still absolutely loving being married. People ask and when we say we're still very happy, sometimes they look surprised! I guess they were expecting us to have a ton of problems during our first year. I think what helped us avoid all those fights is that we had so many other serious things happen during our first year like my hospital visits and such. It helped keep things in perspective.

How cool that you'll have "Disney" sinks in your house! I was afraid no one would find that update interesting, but I thought seeing the house was fun (although the tour itself was kind of long).

i never thought Id be able to Disney solo but I did it once while my dad was working and my brother and sister did not want to go with me. So technically I had no choice, and I wanted to go so bad. Riding the bus alone was the most awkward experience for me.

There's still a small part of me that would like to explore a park solo. I wouldn't want to go entirely on my own, but I'm curious to know what I'd see as I go at my own pace. But yeah, taking the bus is odd!

Too bad you couldn't be there for the DISmeet! I didn't stay for very long because my dad was itching to get out of there especially because of the downpour that started not too long after. However, I would've loved to meet you too!

I think a part of me wanted to be in chorus too, but I wasn't confident in my singing voice then. I'm not really confident in it now either, but I was in the choir at church, so at least I got a taste of singing parts and such.

We were spotted on the Poly beach one time by a DISer who was I think hanging out in the club lounge in Hawaii. She posted the picture, and sure enough, there we were! Haha, that's so cool that you were spotted! I still think it's such a fun experience when you randomly see or bump into people you know because yeah, you're all in Disney at the same time, but what are the chances that you're in the same park on the same day AND in the same area? And the fact that it's so easy to just walk by people you know too on crowded days, seeing those you know is so fun! We bumped into a bunch of students from my school during this past trip!

Hanging Out with Jack Sparrow

After our viewing of the Main Street Philharmonic, we moved on to Adventureland. Have you ever stopped to examine the trees that create all that atmosphere? There are bananas on them! Or at least they look like bananas ... haha. If they are, I wonder if they're taken to be eaten. Watch I be totally mistaken.

As a kid, the Adventureland sign and area as a whole was one of my least favorites. It just seemed as if it was an endless walk to nowhere. I guess it's because I didn't fully appreciate Jungle Cruise and all it's snarky, sarcastic humor and I didn't think POTC was one of the better rides when compared to everything in Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and Frontierland. In more recent years, I have grown to really love Adventureland! Just not so much in the heat, haha. But the same can be said of pretty much all the lands in the heat!

We knew we wanted to hang out with Jack Sparrow, so we walked on over to Pirates of the Caribbean. Oy, I hate when there's a long line for this ride! I'm so used to just walking almost to the front of the line! But we wanted to be out of the heat, so this is one of the best lines to wait in if you have to wait anywhere.

I like this picture that Howard took going in the opposite direction. Getting out of the heat really helps you make it through the entire day.

But after a while, I just kept thinking, "We never wait this long!!!" This is just what happens when you have APs and don't have to be as methodical in what rides you go on. This trip was so unlike our trip last week when we had to be smart about where we going and what FP to get.

As we got closer to the front, we saw that the ride actually stopped. Or maybe it was another trip where it stopped. This is what happens when you don't take TR notes, haha. Let's pretend it was here! That's why it took so long!

Scrims?

Yay, we are finally on the ride! I actually liked it when Davy Jones was on the fog curtain thing. I don't even remember if I watched the most recent POTC movie. I'm going to say no because I don't know what the whole mermaid thing is about. The last one doesn't have all the same characters, right? I think that's why I didn't watch it. And because we don't have it on DVD, and I don't really go to the theater. Ever. Yeah, I don't. I might have to make an exception for Monsters University though, not because I can't wait for the DVD because I can. It's mainly because last Christmas, I got free movie passes from a student and if I'm going to use 'em EVER, it would definitely be for Disney movies! I digress.

Want a wench? Personally, I don't think the redhead is the prettiest. If I were a guy, I'd want one of the more homely looking women, haha. Is that a totally random thing to say right here? I think it's because I feel like a very average-lookin' girl, and I think we average-lookin' girls can be very great people (that's my own assessment of my looks; my hubs loves me as I am and doesn't want me to change, and that's all that matters!). I know it's totally generalizing, but at least where I live, let's say the majority of the girls who are supposedly "hot" (according to society) are the ones who are really snooty. I went to school with many of 'em. Yes, I do know I'm making a HUGE generalization because I know that so many of my fellow DISers are gorgeous inside AND out, but it's not as common to find that in my borough. I'm also from the borough of orange-skinned tanning bed lovers so maybe that'll give you a better idea as to why I think that way. I digress a lot, don't I. Maybe I shouldn't watch food shows on YouTube as I type too because I don't quite think straight.

Hey, Jack! Whatcha doin' there? I think I never noticed the parrot beforehand.

We walked out into the dump shop to take a look at some of the details. I think it's so well decorated, but at the same time, there's kind of TOO much to look at. I remember during my 2008 trip that I was trying to find the props used in the movies, but I couldn't find them because there were too many things above the shelves! I had to ask a pirate CM for help. I guess it's okay though because this is the one dump shop where I actually don't think there are many things that I would consider buying. I guess I'm not very into pirates wear.

Nerdy pirate wear though makes more sense for me. Too bad chemistry was my least favorite science! Biology was my favorite, physics was my second favorite (though it required more studying than bio), and chemistry was just something I didn't quite enjoy. I liked the labs and working with all the acids because I felt powerful (muahahaha), but it just wasn't as interesting to me as the other two. I actually asked if I could teach life science this past year at school, but they had already hired a science teacher and they wanted to keep me on as one of the math and ELA teachers because we handle state testing. What was your favorite science?

After the ride, we figured we'd hang around in the area to watch Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial. We figured he'd come out of that door.

They had set up a rope on the floor so that the audience would know where they could stand. I like how simple it is to follow the "rules" at Disney. I would like to just lay a rope down on the floor somewhere at school and tell my kids that they're not allowed to cross it, but you KNOW that a few of them would try to put a toe over just because they want to be "cool" with their classmates.

You can see in this picture just how sunny it was and why we started getting SO hot! My hair was definitely pulled back into a ponytail, but since it was so long, it was still super hot! I wasn't about to give up a front row seat ... well, standing. BTW, can you see the PhotoPass photographer sitting down on the right side of this picture? He was on a chair with wheels so that he could move back and forth to take pictures without blocking anyone's view. I thought it was very clever. However, the reason I'm bringing it up here is because that guy was like, a younger version of Richard Alpert! I don't know how many of you watched LOST (I know Dani/danimaroo does!), but Howard and I both could not get over how that guy WAS Richard! It was a little frightening because in the show, he has this agelessness that means despite the changing of time periods, he always looks the same! He totally works at Disney too.

A view of the stage. I like how you can get up on that stage when there is no show going on.

For a little bit of our wait time, the clouds came to cover the sun a bit, but then the clouds started moving away! Clearly, I do not do well with the heat at all. Howard deals a LOT better with the heat, and you will rarely hear him complain about it even though he himself is a furnace (seriously, just sitting next to him, you can feel the heat emanating from his body, which is wonderful in the freezing cold winter!). I will say that my dislike of the heat has to do with my vasovagal syncope. It's not just that it's hot and I get sweaty, but I actually start to feel sick and then I start getting dizzy. There are some things that make the vasovagal syncope (and all the fainting that could occur because of it) worse, and heat is one of them that just exacerbates the situation. But yeah, I do also complain about the heat a lot too because I didn't like it as a kid, and that was BEFORE I developed that condition. Haha.

Clouds, come back!

Finally this dude came out to start the show! His name is Mack. No, I didn't remember that. The power of Google, folks.

When Jack came out, I was just amazed at how much the CM had the movements down! I can't think of a harder role to cast because if Jack doesn't have it right, it just wouldn't make sense despite how much the person might LOOK like him.

I completely understand why some girls really want to do the meet and greets with him though, haha. Not that I would because I'm not a fan of them, but if you want to get as close to the REAL Jack Sparrow as possible, this is pretty close! BTW my husband and I don't really call Johnny Depp by his real name. We refer to him as Jack Sparrow. For example, the new movie that's coming out, The Lone Ranger? It's Jack Sparrow playing the role of Tonto.

That might also be because we get a kick out of the SNL Digital Short that features Michael Bolton as a cinephile constantly singing about Jack Sparrow! It's hilarious although I wish The Lonely Island didn't have to use such foul language. I'd suggest watching it on Hulu if you haven't seen it before. The YouTube version isn't censored, and personally, it really bothers me. Why is it necessary? Even when it IS censored and there are all the beeps, it bugs me. That might just be me ...

Anyway, the show is really cute depending on what kids are called up to fight with Jack Sparrow. We had the cutest assortment! Some of them reacted so hilariously because they were so young! Look at pic of Jack fighting mini Jack!

After the battles, he called up anyone who wanted to take the pirate vow, so it's nice that they give an opportunity for other kids to kind of get involved too (and bigger "kids" as well!).

Goodbye, Jack!

Great update!

First of all- Go see Monsters University! I saw it this weekend (only because I had passes tto- I'm so cheap! Haha.) and I thought it was great!

As for the Red Headed Wench- I don't really think she is the prettiest either! Though, I will give her bonus points fro the beautiful red hair that I'll never have!

My DH handles the heat much better than I do too! Luckily I don't have any conditions to worry about, but it always makes me feel so wimpy that I'll be literally MELTING and he won't even be hot! It's not fair! :rotfl:

I saw the Pirate show years ago, but haven't seen it again since it has gotten so popular that they built a stage for it. The stage looks really neat! I love the details!

To answer your question: I loved biology. Really loved oceanography! Hated chemistry. :)

What a great pic of the bananas. Those imagineers think of everything.:goodvibes

I love that you and Howard checked out the Jack Sparrow Tutorial; thanks for the review. It would be fun to get a closer look at the stage too.pirate:

As for the sciences, I loooove chemistry but my favorite is physics. Let's just say I get a little giddy when you start talking subatomic particles. I'm weird, I know.:rolleyes1

Oh! And it's not fair that some people can totally stand the heat. I look like I went through a car wash while the rest of my family just stands there like what???:headache: :sad2:

Anyway, great update!:yay:

Oh my gosh, that line for PotC!! :scared1: Frightening! But yes, it is by far one of the better queues to be stuck in for awhile when it is burning up outside.

I TOTALLY SEE Richard Alpert in that PP photographer, even from that far away and only a side profile! Did his eyes look like they had permanent eyeliner like the real Nestor Carbonell? ;)

The pirate tutorial looks fun. We may need to check it out next trip now that DS is into pirates. Probably wouldn't want to participate, but I think he would just like to watch the show!

I will definitely go see it in a few weeks when the crowds die down a bit! I'm super cheap too when it comes to movie theaters, haha. They're just so expensive these days! And there are two of us too. We don't even buy snacks or anything, but the tickets alone would be a good chunk when we know that just a few months from now, we're going to end up buying the DVD anyway. That's how we finally watched Wreck-It Ralph and Brave. I watched Tangled for the first time on DVD too! And Toy Story 3. And pretty much every recent movie. Except for Bolt. We saw that in the theater, hahahaha.

She does have very nice hair! I'll give her that, haha.

Seriously! There's no other word to use but MELTING! It just makes me feel so gross.

I don't think I'd wait to watch the show again, but I might stop to watch it if it's already going on. Maybe when we have kiddies!

To answer your question: I loved biology. Really loved oceanography! Hated chemistry. :)

Oh cool! Oceanography would've been an interesting option! My high school only offered bio, chem, physics, earth science, and then AP (advanced placement for college credit) bio and chem. I didn't want to take earth science so I took AP Bio during my senior year, which was funny because looking back at it all now, I took so many "unnecessary" classes because I kept believing what all the teachers said about making our transcripts look good with all these extra classes! Haha, I was a very motivated student, but if I were given that option now, I'd be like, "Um, I'm too tired." Haha.

What a great pic of the bananas. Those imagineers think of everything.:goodvibes

Seriously, those Imagineers are brilliant!

As I said above, I don't think I'd wait to watch the show again, but if it were already happening, I think I'd stop to watch the part where he interacts with the kids. It can be really funny if you listen for his quips!

Haha, you're too funny about the subatomic particles! I don't remember it well enough to know all of that stuff, but I like that you do! Embrace the weirdness! My weird thing is getting giddy over grammar rules!

Yeah, the people around me might start getting hot and feeling the heat, but I'm about to die and all I want to do is shrivel up in a corner with AC and cry until I start to feel better! Haha.

Oh my gosh, that line for PotC!! :scared1: Frightening! But yes, it is by far one of the better queues to be stuck in for awhile when it is burning up outside.

The funny thing is that after our Disneymoon, we were like, "No way are we ever going back in May or in the hotter months!" and what do you know? We ended up in Disney last week ... in JUNE. Haha, I guess we didn't learn our lesson.

YES, he totally had that permanent eyeliner look down!

I can totally imagine Paxton a little older wanting to go up there and sword fight with Jack too! How fun that you have a little one that could potentially participate in these things!
