moving luggage?

We are planning a last minute trip, so we could only get the Poly for the last 5 nights (we already have the airfare) so we will stay at POR for the 1st night. Can we get our luggage transferred from POR to the Poly for us or are we better off doing it ourselves? Do we have to check in early at the Poly since our luggage is being moved or can we do it around 2pm (we want to be in MK that day)? Thanks for any info!

I am in a similar situation - 3 nights POR and 3 nights WL or CR (not decided yet) - no rental car - will be using Disney to move my luggage whilst I enjoy the day

I have confidence in them

We always split our stays and have Disney move our luggage for us and have never had a problem. This past Christmas we had our luggage moved twice (3 hotels-one was to the Dolphin) and we would definitely do it again! Disney is very efficient with luggage, at least with our experiences!

Thanks, everyone! We are still hoping to get the other night at the Poly but it helps to know that our luggage will be moved for us if not.

We recently stayed at 3 resorts on our trip. We moved our luggage this way each time without a problem. Our luggage was ready by 10:30 each time and it arrived at our next hotel by 4:00.

At the risk of being chided for being "negative"...

The one time I had them move my luggage, they lost it. It didn't arrive until well after 6:00pm, and then only after the manager of the resort I moved to got involved. They had no idea where it was, and for all they new it could have been at any of 11 WDW resorts luggage storage rooms. They did ultimately find it, in storage at the resort we moved from, with the tags clearly marked to transfer it.

I won't do that again.
