We are spending one night at All Stars Movies and moving to CSR for the rest of our vacation.

I have read on the boards that Disney will move the luggage to CSR but how do we get there? How would Disney transportation work time wise? If we call for a wheelchair accessible taxi ... it could be a long wait.

What would you suggest?

We just use the Disney busses. Take one from AS to a park, then transfer to the CSR bus from there.

Take a bus to one of the parks, then take the bus from there to CSR. Would take anywhere from 30 minutes if you're lucky to an hour and a half if you're unlucky. (Lucky being buses being at the stop as you get to them, unlucky being it just pulled away every time.)

You could just leave and go to the park of your choice for the day and when taking an afternoon break head over to CSR then to check in.

We are doing this on our trip too, but we will be starting at POFQ and finishing at OKW. I have been wondering how this all worked!

We've done that when we changed resorts. Worked quite well.

How does this work specifically ? Do you drop all your luggage in the lobby or do they pick it up from your room ? We're thinking of doing this so we can get in on an evening and have the whole day the next day to get started.

How long does it take your luggage to get to the new resort ?

Also - on the way home, if our plane doesn't leave until 6 PM how do we spend a few hours in the park and then get the magical express ???

Thanks !!

You can call Bell Services and they will pick your bags up for you. Now, it can take quite a long time to get your bags. I've done it twice now....always had my bags picked up at 8:00 am, but have yet to get my bags before 5:00 pm. If you are going to need your bags, I would take a cab, with bags in tow, to the new resort and leave them with Bell Services there.

For your return to the airport...if you have a 6:00 flight, you will be picked up by DME around 3:15-3:30, so you will need to be back at the resort by 2:45. If you are flying a participating airline, you will have been able to check your bags through to MCO at the resort that morning, and gotten your boarding passes printed out. So, you just take your carryon bags with you on the bus. You can leave them with bell services for the day, until you return to take the bus back. If you are not flying a participating airline, then just leave all your bags with bell services, and pick them up when you return to the resort for the bus. But be sure to leave extra time to do that...there can be a line at bell services for those doing the same thing you are!!
