What a good husband! I think that is why my husband and I get along so well. We can recognize when we are out of sorts due to uncontrollable circumstances and we don't take it out on each other. I hope your mil finally got it and changed her behavior.

Wow, what an update! She so had it coming. You know, MIL could have saved herself some grief if she knew anything about etiquette. Ladies are welcome to wear hats indoors, and in fact, in some formal settings it's expected. Gentlemen are the ones who are supposed to remove their hats indoors. And I'm an expert. I was published in Miss Manners column once (it wasn't about hats though; it was about a cockroach in church).
Hurray for supportive DHs and CMs. And that your kids know the effects of no e-pills for Mama.

What a read. Now I am totally jealous of how well planned your trip was. (excluding the MIL stuff) As a MIL, I realize I need to be carefull and I hope I never ever act in such a childish way.
I hope there is no chance that she'll read any of this! Although maybe thats not a bad idea.......She'd be so embarassed, she'd die of embarassment! Hmmmm, I wonder!!!!
One good thing you can say for her, is that somehow she raised an amazing son (who also seems to have good taste!)

this has been so much fun to read... sooo sry about your MIL i have been very lucky as my MIL lives thousands of miles away and i have never met her in the almost 18 yrs i have been with my hubby and he loves my mom so i have not had your exp. but man do i feel for you...but at least you and your family had some fun even if you missed out on alot of sleep....next trip do it minus the MIL...

I am trying to get this posted but my laptop thought it should die with everything on it i own but luckily i just needed a new ac adapter so i am downloading pictures to photo bucket and should have it up soonish .
Thanks for being so patient with me , my kids are also off track again for 3 wks so i have had to entertain them also

We jump in the van and off to DCA when we arrive the gates are still closed

so we are thankful for that Logan can just take it easy while we wait for them to open ...we take a few fun pictures in the letters of California.

Here is our family photo pass one,
it was purty warm that day.

I love it here it is so cute i snap a photo of goofy

and we are off on our way to our 1st ride The Tower of Terror

we see the one and Only Mr. Incredible, Logan of course is all over this one and he poses for some pictures .

On to the TOT ride

and we have decided that it is going to be me , logan , Lonnie and Khrystian who are riding , Lonnie TELLS his mom that she is going to watch the kids, We make our way through the lobby which i love it is so realistic and up to our elavator where are Adventure is awaiting us and i mean Adventure (WELL for me and Logan) We get in and all put on our seat belts
We start our decent up and are beginining to drop when i look over and Logan has his seat belt across him but it is not snapped shut !!!
Panic mode hits and immediately and in no time my arm is across his waist and trying to hold him in and snap his belt at the same time while i am also holding on for dear life ,
I feel us dropping and Logan starting to rise up a lil bit and with the power of God (because Logan is not a lil Boy ) and Pixie Dust i am able to get his seat belt shut (Thank goodnss it was just a smidge from being buckled .). with my arm throbbing i am now just keeping my arm across Logan because i can tell he is terrified and tears are starting to fall i squeeze his hand to let him know he is okay , My stomach is in the worst knots i feel like i am going to throw up but Through all the chaos i actually enjoyed the ride a ton!!
Khrystian and Lonnie on the other hand were terrified (as you can see in the picture)
After that is over Logan apologizes to me and tells me he will make sure his belt is tightly shut from now on .. i just give him a huge hug and then let Lonnie in on what we were talking about...
We hit the gift shop pick up our picture

and i grab Lonnie a I SURVIVED Tag
Only to find out after, that His biggest fear is Dying on a Elevator
(OH now i feel Like a smuck)
i thank him for riding with me and after his face retains his brownish color and he stops shaking we make our way back up to the kiddos and miraclously they are there with MIL
Jayedyn is telling us how she saw us up pretty high
We start back up the street and run into Will Robinson
who jumps in behind Logan and Khrystian I snap some photos,

he then GRABS Jayedyn and hugs her a huge bear hug and a picture is snapped

(Now) just to let her go is the next task after she smiles for 2 more pictures a pat on the head and a huge hug again he lets her go (i think he may have been taken aback by her beauty)
The boys tease her about how she has a boyfriend and who jumps in again But Will with another huge hug Jayedyn is giggling and laughing her head off..

We decide that we should hit Mostropolis city or Mike and Sully 2 the rescue after only a 2 min wait we are in our taxi and on our way

Mayson is in Heaven Because he watches this show on a monthly basis and he is yelling out to the characters
i snap a ton of pictures as we are whirling bye.

Ross is telling us that we didn't turn in our paper work and Mayson hits his head and say's Poose(PUSE) what is that? I laugh and reply "oh that is Puse" and he giggles some more ...

We grab our stroller and it is off to Muppets 3-D

while we are waiting a CM comes over and tells my MIL that she needs to move over by the doors and she throws a fit why can they be there and i have to move (Lonnie laughs and asks her if she thought the TV presentation was the show and she say's YES!!! We begin laughing as we are waiting the 5 mins for the theatre doors to open..
We take our seats and the kids are loving. it i am no good with 3-D and since i have a hard time seeing Far Away as it is, being on the front row i am jumping around at flying objects coming toward me .... But i loved the show as well as the kids.

after that was over
we started our way over to the Theatre where we ran into Max (Goofy's son) with pictures snapped and autographs signed

we went in to the theatre while the boys waited upstairs me and jayedyn headed down to the sorcerers workshop

we jumped on to find out what character we most represented and Jayedyn ended up being Mrs . Potts From Beauty and the Beast

and myself i was Jane from Tarzan Both of us were stunned by the results.

we headed back upstairs for Turtle Talk with Crush

Which was so cool Jayedyn was chosen from the audience and crush gave her a nick name Jamaican Jayedyn (which MIL thought it needed to be screamed out during the show that she was indeed part Jamaican )After that interruption on with the show, it was neat to see Crush swimming around and actually taking with the kids ...

The show was over and as we were leaving MIL decides she has to tell the CM about Jayedyn being Part Jamaican and that her father is and Blah Blah Blah,
We wanted to see the Playhouse Disney show but Thanks to MIL when we got out there was a huge line

(now on this day being a friday the Park was very crowded and there was begining to be a wait for most of the rides)So we had to pick and choose what ones we wanted to wait for and which ones to get the next time ..
We made our way to Candy Corn Acres

and saw Mickey

and Minnie Jayedyn got a picture with Minnie and she loved her outfit and kept making cute lil gestures ..

i had her sign my autograph book and she gave me the pen that she pulled out of her pocket and with a few gestures to jayedyn's outfit and me she hands me back my book and the pen i went to give it back to her but she touched my nose and gestured for me to keep the pen so like a giddy school girl i did ..
. we were deciding on where to go next when we found out in 15 mins it would be The HSM parade so we took our spots (perfect we thought but when the parade started the float was in our way if only we had moved down just a smidge Oh well we still could see, Once again Jayedyn was chosen to dance with them all again and she was in Heaven A lil' confused that it was not the real actors

After that we started to make our way to Golden State for Soaring as we made our way i heard a very loud noise Kinda like a race car starting and a old broken down Truck and then Camden Screaming Which made everyone look . We made our way over to rubberneck county

to see Camden's favorite characters Lightning and Mater of course Camden walks over and kisses Lightning and Maters hood and yells for me to take a photo he was in shock he had no idea where to stand

and then with a lil help from the photo pass gal pictures were snapped

and of course no Mayson
You will never guess what the poor guy was doing ??????
Sleeping .
After the 6 million good byes we were walking to catch Soaring But to our shock the line wrapped around almost to the rocket booster with a huge wait time.
