Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

you can cancel or change your package reservation without fees as long as it is prior to the cut off date.
i don't remember right now how many days out from your arrival date you can do that free of costs.

You now have to pay within 7 days for the deposit, shocked me tonight and you can cancel with 45 days of your trip at no cost.

Steve, that is what I am asking. I got savings of $1100 on Moderates, $700 of Pop Century, $1900 on GF.

Take the POP savings, you are only getting 3 nights hotel for free right, but divide that by the $700, that is $233 a night..NOT!

Same with GF, $1900 for the 3 free nights. Again, the cost for the room isn't over $600 a night in March for a Garden View.

Everything I priced was way more than just three nights hotel off the package price!!!

So do you think many (not all) people are oiver estimating their savings?

Not sure what you mean. I am talking about all the packages I priced. I take back the Value resorts, those look right, but Deluxes, seems like the discount is way too high, much more than just three nights hotel

How are you getting those prices?
Standard Moderate with NO discount for 7 nights with 7 day BASE ticket in January is 1661.35

I am paying $1139.34 with the deal.

Sorry for the confusion, I'll use my own experience. By pricing out my 6 night WL stay at 1520.00 plus adm tix for 844 comes to approx 2344.00 With the new deal I get 7 hotel nights, 7 day MYW park passes, from Disney's online site the price of 2055, a savings of 622.00, throw in the 200.00 gift card, now there's 822.00 savings. If I did it right it is a great savings, but not in the area of 1,000-2,000 dollars. But I'm going in Jan. which has to be considered.

Maybe she is accidentally looking at original cost with hoppers/waterparks, and then pricing the package with base tickets - that is $100 per person right there, and on a 4 person package it can add up to look like $400 more off.

Gift Cards ...

Are people including their gift cards in their Savings ...

My TA said I saved almost $650 ... which is for 2 rooms, eight nights POP, plus meal plan, park hopper (February). But I don't believe he was aware of the Gift Card

2 rooms X 3 nights free = approx 600 (taxes in), plus 9 x 5 people for pass savings.

My question ... are the 200 gift cards ... per room, or per reservation?

That's the problem, we are going in April and there is NOTHING coming up for GF. We already booked BC anyway but thought if we could get GF we would switch. Of course we would end up spending more so we are better off at BC. Plus we love the location of BC and Stormalong Bay!

Depends. If the two rooms were booked together on the same reservation, you get one gift card. If the two rooms were booked separately, you get two gift cards.

However, you should be aware that you are only guaranteed connecting rooms if you book both rooms under one reservation. If you book two separate reservations to get the two gift cards, you could end up with rooms lacking a connecting door or even rooms that aren't close to one another. This is all according to the CM that booked my two rooms.

We got in for POR for 7 nights in May and saved over $600! 2 adults, 3 kids and with plus dining, the package came to $3,112. Beforehand, with the AAA discount, the total was $3,552 which had already saved me a couple hundred off Disney prices... now off to cancel AAA package. I'm so glad that I didn't pay for my AAA renewal because that's all I ever use it for is Disney! So another $60 saved in my pocket!

Yes, for January, February, March, May and June! HUGE savings there!!!!!!

I did see GF available for the week after Easter. It was priced at approx. $4300 for 7 nights and 7 day basic park ticket, if I remember correctly. I saw it last night about 7:30pm.
