Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

Okay, I feel bad that I've posted this on 2 other threads, but just thought I would give you all some pricing that I found in case it helps anyone...and then you can help ME decide too! :rotfl2:

So, DH had a surprise cheapo offisite trip orig planned with the kids. Instead, I called about the deal and got SEVERAL quotes....hope this helps you alll!

WHO: ME (birthday during the trip if we go!), DH, DD (5, turning 6 during the trip if we go!), ds, 2.5 (free), ds, 1.5 (free)

Here are the quotes I got, I was a pain and asked for several :

WL March 15-22
Courtyard View w/ bunkbeds
Base Park Tix for 3 (2 adults, one child...the other 2 are free)
2645.77 (plus 200.00 GC, plus 150.00 in cards for mine and DD birthdays)
if you subtract the giftcards for the total, it comes to 2296.77

***NOTE: My CM also priced this one out seperately w/o the deal to see the savings.....our total would have been 4204.64!!!!!!

WL CABINS March 15-22
Base Park Tix for 3 (2 adults, one child...the other 2 are free)
2263.43 (plus 200.00 GC, plus 150.00 in cards for mine and DD birthdays)
if you subtract the giftcards for the total, it comes to 1913.43

THEN, I looked into going in February, to avoid Spring Break and hit Value season instead (which ends Feb 19)....here's what I got:

WL Feb 8-15
Courtyard View w/ Bunkbeds
Base Park Tix for 3 (2 adults, one child...the other 2 are free)
2244.07 since we wouldn't be there for DD or my birthday, we wouldn't get the 150.00 GC from that, but we do still get the 200.00 one....subtract that from the total, and it comes to 2044.07

Still not sure what we are going to do. We put the FW Cabins on hold right now, but DH really wants to do WL. But, this is HIGHER than our cheapo trip that we had orig. planned for May, so I don't know if it's worth it. Plus, crowds are going to be CCRRAAAZZYY!!!

Also, something quite a few of you might know.....there is a problem with making ADR's right now...they are upgrading the system and you cannot make any ADR's until Dec. 22. (The only ones you can make are for CRT, CM, and V&A). This could be a real cluster when that gets up in running for everyone trying to squeeze in dining for these new ressies.

For more info on that, there is a huge update thread on the Restaurants Board.

Now, back to my decision making!!!

Anyone getting GF rates at all? I have tried and can't get it. Must be GF is not included in the promo :confused3

I'm an AP and it worked out for me. I saved 532.00 on my vacation, plus an added night.

You saw that I did on one of the other threads but I know when I looked it up myself (I was angry at my TA because she left the office and had someone else handling my reservation) GF was completely booked for my dates. If you want GF I wouldn't wait too long to book it.

Looks like there isn't any availability for the first day of my trip anymore anywhere. 1/20 (Tuesday) shows no availability. I tried online to see what I could get for 1/20-1/27 and nothing was available. Change it to 1/21-1/28 and there's plenty available.
Sure glad I bit the bullet and changed from Contemporary without the discount to Polynesian with the discount when I did!
Edit: nevermind, the Polynesian is open again.

I have a message to my TA wondering why my package is $25 higher for a Woodsview Bunk than it would be for an upgrade to a Courtview bunk room. I'm a bit annoyed that I can get a better deal booking directly through Disney myself than my TA is getting for me.

We tried for April and GF wasn't available, so we did February 14-21 and got a theme park view. Maybe you should check back later or try some different dates.

Does anyone know if the gift card can be applied to the charges for the dining plan?

I would HATE to be a travel agent today. Theyre gonna get screwed out of sooooooooooooo much commission and time

Nope. Just the opposite for my sister. She told her clients to wait for the discount code before booking so they would get the best deal. She said she has been sooooooo busy since 5pm.....well she really yelled at me to stop calling....said she would get to my trip when she had time. LOL!

So this thread has seen so much action today..lol..is anyone still on? Nobody is at my resort changers thread....:( lol

So I really didnt think much or even try to play with numbers up until an hour ago!
I have an AP/Dining package at CSR..the new Bus Club Level..4 nights...for myself and DD11.....feb 26-Mar 2.....$1604

Can get AKL pool view for 5 nights, 1 day base pass for each of us, no dining $1782, but I would get the gift card for $200..

Looking forward to CSR CL.. but know I would love AKL too..........I guess I should sleep on it!

We had no plans to go to WDW in 2009, but with this offer, we might go. :wizard:

We've never booked a package before, only room only reservations. Can someone explain to me how this works? Do you have to pay in full before you go? Can you pay via check, or does it have to be via credit card (other than the deposit, that is)? Is there a certain time when you can't cancel/change the reservations anymore? Do they mail you your tickets?

Sorry for all the questions, but I don't know how any of this works.

you have to pay a $200 deposit down within 2 weeks of making the package ressie.
if i am off on the number of days on that, i'm sure someone will correct me

you can pay by check or credit card.

you have to pay the remainder of the amount due 45 days out from arrival date.

you get your park tickets when you check into the resort.

you can cancel or change your package reservation without fees as long as it is prior to the cut off date.
i don't remember right now how many days out from your arrival date you can do that free of costs.

LOL!!!! I had to scramble for the Spring Breakers first thing, then the summer goers, then put together a sample price email for other people that had no clue what they wanted. 8 hours of work! Oh and I had a Brownie meeting, and TWO class projects to do!

That's all?!:lmao:

Sorry I haven't read the last 50 pages that have been posted since I was last here, but I have a question.

In all my pricing, even getting Rack Rate to see what the discount was, it is WAY more than just three nights free. Everything I priced was a 7 night package, with Dining and Hoppers.

Anyone figure it out!?

Ok,I'm at work so shhhh. I'm reading where people are saving up to 1000-1600 dollars. But where? Is it mainly the hotel? I've already booked for 6 nights at the WL for 1520.00 months ago. Could save a few hundred there with the new deal but other than the hotel (which I'm not complaining about) what am I missing? Admission tix there is almost no difference between 4 days and 7 days. I'm not good at this so any help is appreciated.
Steve

Steve, that is what I am asking. I got savings of $1100 on Moderates, $700 of Pop Century, $1900 on GF.

Take the POP savings, you are only getting 3 nights hotel for free right, but divide that by the $700, that is $233 a night..NOT!

Same with GF, $1900 for the 3 free nights. Again, the cost for the room isn't over $600 a night in March for a Garden View.

Everything I priced was way more than just three nights hotel off the package price!!!
