Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

I haven't read the whole thread (supposed to be working right now) so fogive me if this has been asked.... Has anyone heard if this supposed deal will be for room only or if it has to be a package deal? TIA

rumor has it that this will be a GP package deal.

Someone please educate me. I am a first timer to WDW. I already have 4 days in Feb booked at CSR with regular ddp and 4 day base ticket. Will I be able to rebook? and why would I not benefit from 3 extra days free in addition to what I already have? Thanks to all for the info:confused3
I know that I would have to come oop for the dining, but with the 200 card and $40 credit on visa, I could get 3 more days and only be oop $54. Am I looking at this the wrong way?

I had heard mentioned 2 big weekends in January. I now that MLK holiday is on the 19th, but is there another event I am missing that will affect crowds in January?
TIA

Okay guy and gals,

We all know that we are all worked up and excited about the HUGE promo. I know that the speculation is that the promo will be stay four nights and get three nights free. And some people might get a $200.00 gift card.

Now, all that being said and keeping in mind that it's all just speculation, how are you running numbers to see if the 4 day/3 nights free is a good deal.

Keep in mind this question comes from someone who absolutely positively HATES math.

Are you just figuring the cost of the room or are you adding in dining and tickets?

Help me out here please!

The way I ran the numbers was to use Disney's website and plug in a vacation for seven nights with park tickets (no dining) and see the price, then edit to just four nights with park tickets and see the price - subtract the lower four night stay from the seven night and that's the savings on the room + park tickets. Adding park hopper is $50 no matter how long the ticket is good for, so I used base tickets in the pricing.

Then to see how much dining is for four nights, I edited the four night stay with tickets.....then on paper added on the per night charge for dining to get a good ballpark total for the package with 3 free nights for the room and tickets, but assuming I'd have to pay for the dining plan for the seven nights.

Does that make sense?

does anyone have previous experience with these deals? - so they usually have blackout dates - like presidents week and Easter

It is supposed to be a package deal; not for room only.

I'm really hoping for 3 days of free dining!
If no free dining then this deal would cost us about $400 more than going in September. :sad1:

Cost for 6 days in Sept with free dining $3051
Cost for this deal with having to pay for dining $3417
We would stay an extra day though with this deal??:confused3 :headache:
I give up :headache:
I wish 5pm would hurry up !

Well, I called my mom today and emailed my sister and it looks like we may move our planned Oct-Nov visit to April during spring break with my sister's kids and my parents....so we'd actually manage to create a grand gathering too!

I'm toying with the idea of reserving now - but don't know if the deal isn't as sweet as it is rumored, can I change dates and accomodations without incurring a change fee? Or should I wait until it's announced and then book?

Does anyone know if we can book the 7 nights but actually only stay 6? We won't be able to stay 7 but at least we'd have 2 free!

The room would be booked for you for the full 7 days, but, yes, you may leave earlier with express check-out. They don't hold you prisoner or do bed checks. :goodvibes

I am in the same situation, going Jan 3-10 and we are cruising on the 10th. I can't add a night before, because its not in the deal, and definately can't stay a night after.
We have to pay for jan 3rd on a AAA rate, then do the package for jan 4-10.
If they say 'sorry you MUST stay all 7 nights' I will say 'ok'.
Then simply check out early. They can't stop me from leaving early if I need to.

We were lucky enough to get this offer in 2001. I felt like it was a very good deal. I think IF you planned on 7 or more nights anyway this will save you money.

Okay you guys, I kinda feel like a dummy for asking but here it goes:

I have a package for 9 days, 8 nights at the Pop, including hopper and dining. If the rumor is correct about the 3 free days, does my having dining in my package make me disqualified?

Again, kind of a dummy question, but I had to ask.

There is a big soccer tournment jan 16-19. Players are staying at AS and CBR.

Well, I played around on the www.disneyworld.com website so long that a live chat box popped up. I told the castmember that I had a friend who had called Disney Travel and was told there was a "huge promotion" coming out tonight and for them to call back. I also said that there was a hint dropped that the promotion would be something like stay four nights and get three nights free.

He said he wasn't aware of any "huge promotion" but that there were special offers right now on their website.

I asked how often the updated the site and he said it was updated "minute by minute" as new promotions came out.

Oh well, I tried.
