Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

That's what I'm hoping for too!! But instead of taking a refund, we are planning to upgrade to AKL savanna view with the difference, I hope this works out.

We're thinking of doing the same thing!!!:rotfl:

Is this a package or can you opt for the room only portion of the discount?

Thank-you gvanlare for posting about the $97 rate at ASMu Family Suites through Expedia. This is perfect for our family of 5 and I have never seen this rate below $149. We booked 8 nights in January with no problem.

We are so excited,

Ok this is what I just got from a very reliable source!

Stay 4 nights and get 3 nights free at Walt Disney World plus a $200 Gift Card!!

This isn't official yet - but we hear this will be released at 5:00 pm tomorrow and we don't want you to miss out! Here is what we've heard:

Book your trip beginning at 5 pm on Thursday, November 6, 2008. How big is this discount? It's the biggest discount run by Disney Parks since 2001!

For every 4 nights - you get 3 nights free!
For every 4 days of tickets - you get 3 days free!
If you book your trip between January 4th and March 29th, you also receive a $200 Disney Gift Card to spend!

*****Book between November 6th and December 20th!*****
Travel between January 4th and June 27th!
Travel between January 4th and March 29th to include the Disney Gift Card.
Travel between March 29th and June 27th to include the discount, but not the Disney Gift Card.

I wonder how this would work if you wanted to upgrade to AP.. would it be based on the cost of 4 days or 7?
I also wonder why it will be released at 5pm... seems strange

They're probably waiting until after the trading day is done because their quarterly earnings are being released. It's possible that their earnings are going down and they don't want people to start selling their shares and decimating the stock price because they think they're getting desperate.

It looks like this would include Easter time. If there are no restrictions would you have to re-book through CRO to get the free nights/tickets package?

So if you booked 8 nights would you then get 6 days extra? Am I stretching the concept of this offer?

I wonder why the dates after March 29 will not get the $200 gift card? That would be a real deciding factor for me, but we are going in May. Hopefully they will offer the card to everyone in the promotion.

I was disappointed when I saw that too because if I go, it will be in May. So it looks like no gift card for me :headache:

If you will be arriving before March 29th but your ressie goes through March 29th do you still get the card i wonder????? :confused3

May room rates are cheaper than Mar, so you save some there. That is probably why they arfe doing a gift card during higher prices nights.

Well if there is no free food for the three extra days, it is still a great deal, something that I would be interested in... :cool1:

I wonder if the gift card through March 29th is to give an extra boost to Q1 bookings. (maybe Q1 is looking worse than Q2:confused3 )

Who do you think will have the info. out first Disney, mousesavers, dis, or TGM?
I am just wondering which site to keep a close eye on.

Ok here is my question

I have a courtsey hold on a room and our intention was to book it last night but decided to hold out and wait for this deal. I am alittle concerned about it all and we have decided to call in a few moments and book our room. If we do book it at regular rate this morning and any of the possible deals go through as rumoured, can I call them back and have it applied to my reservation? Or should I wait and hold out till after 5pm?

I have two questions!

1. Has anyone ever had this type of promotion, and paid extra to turn the "extra" three day tickets into non expiration for use on a different trip? :rotfl: )
.

We went the last time the 4/3 deal was offered which was 5 years ago. They didn't have exactly the same ticketing options then but the promo then did not include no expiration (I don't think this was an option at all then but I don't think the tickets expired the same way they do now or got as cheap as they do for longer stays) or hoppers or waterparks though I'm pretty sure you could pay for the extras and they would extend to the free days. Those are mostly per ticket except the no expiration so they wouldn't really be discounted. They didn't have the DDP then so who knows how that will work.

In terms of the savings though for us the 4/3 didn't really save much more than any of the other sales they have every year during the value seasons. Think about it-- a 4 day ticket is $233 and a 7 day is $242. Your ticket savings are around $9 per person total. The room rate is essentially 40% off if it is buy 4 get 3 which is a very nice savings but has been offered pretty regularly during slow times. Packaged together though it sounds like a HUGE deal and perhaps it is going to apply to lots of dates that previously didn't have much in the way of deals. The $200 gift card though is a total extra great thing. When we went on our 4/3 we did also get $100 in Disney Dollars for booking with Disney Visa. As an uneducated Disney consumer then I thought it was an amazing deal. When we went back the next year at the same time of year with a more regular deal it didn't really cost much more even though we stayed in a mod so I ran the numbers and figured it all out. It's like free dining it FEELS very good but numbers-wise most of the promos come out pretty similarly. Here since most of the savings is on the room you will benefit much more if you are staying in pricier rooms whereas with free dining you benefit more from staying in cheaper rooms. If they also throw in free DDP for the 3 days then that combined with the other discounts would be huge but I bet that's not the case. Should be interesting.
