A comment and 2 questions:

Comment: I am OCD about cleaning. For a studio stay, a full clean is just about what I tipped daily when staying Non-DVC. So I can take that money and apply it to a full cleaning on day 4.

Question 1: If you do tip, do you tip on day four and check out?

Question 2: I think I already know the answer, but DH wanted me to ask anyway. If you pay for an extra towel package at check in, are those replaced as well on Day 4? I'm pretty sure it is a one time extra, but...... For a studio stay, I would want the extras, since sometimes we shower a couple of times a day (am, midday after pool/nap, etc.)

We do tip on Trash and Towel day as well as Full Cleaning day. I adjust it for the size of the villa we are in, too. Also, if I have requests such as extra shampoo or soaps I leave a small note with the tip. Housekeeping has always gone above and beyond when I make these requests with a gratuity.

I believe the towel package is one time, but some have reported having all towels replaced at the time of T&T or FC. I suppose you could take them down to the laundry and wash them then put them in a drawer that day, lol. Much less of a problem when you have a 1 bedroom or larger with the washer and dryer in the room, though. Very easy to toss them in the wash before leaving for the parks...
