Mousekeeping tips and ME tips?

We leave our mousekeeping tips in an envelope every single trip/every single day and have never had them leave it behind.

The first day, the envelope was left behind. And they didn't come the last day.

So we took home some extra cash!

Is there something else to put it in besides envelopes?

Where do you put the cash?

There is a card in your room with your Mousekeepers name on it. We always leave the tip with that.

During one of our recent stays, I had to actually physically put the little tent card on top of my singles for the Mousekeeper to take it. I left it near it, and she didn't pick it up.

I have never tipped the ME driver , but in my defense, I have never seen one tipped either.

On second thought, maybe that's why our last one took us to two resorts that no one was going to (not a single person got off) before he finally took us to the CR. :scratchin

We always make envelopes and label them Thank you Mousekeeping. We also write on there please leave extra bath towels since DH and I shower twice a day. We put them on the bathroom vanity by the soap and shampoo. Mousekeeping always takes it and always leaves us a few extra bath towels. We tip Mousekeeping $5 ($1 for each person in the room and $1 for leaving extra towels).

For ME I tip $3 per bag that we have. We usually have our 2 carryons and a stroller.

last week we had 2 pieces of luggage on the way there and i tipped 10 dollars. I usually tip 10-20 depending on what cash breakdown I have in my wallet at the time if i'm being honest. I feel either is sufficient.

mousekeeping - I started out $5 a day for 2 people and then tipped $10 when the rest of our group joined us. honestly service was terrible, I thought it had been lacking in December (poly cl both visits) but this past week I'm pretty certain all they did was make the beds and leave. After addressing the issue a couple of times I just gave up. I still tipped the same, realizing the mousekeepers change and hoping for better service. Which in typing this out I find pretty annoying as I feel I should be tipping for good service and not tipping in the hopes that I'll receive adequate service.

We do $5 a night for housekeeping, two adults.

We will do $5 total for both pieces of luggage for the ME driver, (same with Airport skycap)

This is what we do too. I make the Mousekeeping envelopes up ahead of time. I prep them, seal them, and put the date/day on each one. So easy. In the morning before we leave for the parks, I pull the next one out of the safe and leave it right on the bed - never had any problem with them not taking/seeing it.

Wow, I guess I'm cheap. I would never tip the ME driver for just driving the bus. Now, I never have had a bag stored under the bus for me, so maybe then I would feel differently.
