I just picked it up - looking for a different perspective now that I know we'll be going at least once a year!

I'm betting the authors visit the disboards - is it you? :lmao:

It's a pretty good book - quick read - no new information - but GREAT stories. Parts of it give me the chills when I read it and think about WDW!

Oh - and I put it here, because it seems like a good book for DVC owners.

I read this book and agree with your review. Not much learned, but I totally identify with the author. Being from Massachusetts, I really loved his comments about Dunkin Donuts and such. I am lending it to a friend who is a Mousejunkie like me. I love their explanation and subsequent stories in the DVC section of the book. Fun read!

That was the book I was reading on this last trip to Vero & OKW- on the plane, sitting by the pool....nothing like reading about Mousejunkies while you're sitting by the pool BEING a Mousejunkie!! :rotfl2:

And I thought it was a lot of fun to read...I'm planning on giving it to my friend Joan who is joining up with the next DISmoms trip next May!:thumbsup2

Went to amazon and Barnes and noble online....amazon was a couple dollars cheaper. I ordered it and am looking forward to it's arrival. :goodvibes

Thanks for the head's up OP!

I hope you enjoy! It's a good filler for when I can't get on the disboards and talk to other junkies.

I just saw it on Amazon today and thought "i have to buy this book!" now after reading your reviews I know I am going to buy it. I am hoping to get the AmazonKindle for my birthday in a couple of weeks or perhaps for Christmas and I may wait to make the purchase until then!!!

I also enjoyed the book. I very rarely read a whole travel book, but I did for this one. I loved the style of the writer. Made me laugh a few times. I'm trying to get my DH to read it. He is not nearly the mousejunkie that I am, but I think he would enjoy it.

Borders had it on the shelf this past week.

ITA that it's a great book. That being said, some of those stories were absolutely horrifying!!! :scared1: :scared1:

The story about the Hollywood Brown Derby, the exploding diaper, the bathroom issues on the monorail!! :rotfl2: So gross.

I would definitely recommend this book to everyone. Great stories, easy/fun read---finished it up in 3 nights---it was wonderful. :thumbsup2

I read it over the summer when I was trying to get my fix (okay, I am always trying to get my Disney fix):rotfl2: I enjoyed it. Since I am a new DVC owner, I will have to reread to see how that applies now.

My DH bought it and read it first. Then I read it. DH said, "THIS IS US!!!" We can totally relate. We love the book. It is actually what got us to buy into the DVC. We don't go to B&N without looking for a new Walt Disney or WDW book. This was one of our more recent ones. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hi, We're Lin and Andy, and we are MouseJunkies!

No, we didn't write the book, but it sure describes us.

As others have said, I didn't learn much new, but really enjoyed the book anyway. Nice to know we're not the only ones like this - of course, all our friends on DIS already showed us that :thumbsup2

The author of Mousejunkies is on the dis and hopefully he will see this thread and join in. Bill is also my neighbor and when I found this out it was like finding out I lived next to a celebrity. Very exciting!!! :cool1:

I figured he was on the dis.

My favorite part is when he's talking about emailing his fellow junkies in "code" "Hope to get ADRs for CM or CP. Have ressies at BWV, might switch to BLT or WL." He had way more in there, but it made me laugh because my friend and I have been accused of talking in a different language to each other on facebook! ;)

Hi guys - Bill, the author, here.
Thanks for all the kind words!

There are others in the book that are also members of the DIS: Randy, Carol, Deb and Jenna are all around here. This is THE place to be, as we all know. ;-)

And coincidentally, I have to log off because at this time tomorrow night we'll be at WDW! I have to get packing!

Thanks again to everyone, and I hope people planning on reading it get a good laugh and a bit of a Disney fix. :thumbsup2

OK, so - one question: Will I no longer want to eat at HBD after reading the book?? Cause I"m really looking forward to trying it out!

I am sooooooooo getting this book. Thanks for sharing and Congrats to the author!!!
