Do you guys bring your ears back with you each trip? We have quite a few pairs, and they are costly so while I would like to reuse them this trip, the thought of bringing them all the way and then not using them because there is some new style the girls want is daunting.

What about those ear bobbers that light up or tiaras and such do you bring them back with you each trip or do you buy new ones?

I really meant to re-use mine when I go back. I thought when I got them that it would be cool to keep wearing the 25th anniversary ones... very classic, they jut have a 25 logo on the front instead of the usual Mickey logo. But. I. Can't. Find. Them. I still have time but I think it's futile. I left them home on trip #2 since I got the bride Minnie ears for our Honeymoon, those I can find, LOL. I think maybe I'll wimp out and try a headband this year, anyway.

Maybe you can offer your kids the choice of taking a few back- hats, tiaras, etc- so they can mix it up versus getting one thing on the trip and wearing that all the time? I really don't know about change since to me, WDW calls for classic Mickey Mouse Club type ears. I probably had my blinders on when I've been in the hat shops knowing what I want!

We absolutely reuse them. Though we got the cheapy ones from Chapeau with a monogram and after three trips, they're falling apart. If the ears are close to your heart and you want to preserve them, don't bring them.

We also reuse our magical light-up wands. On our last trip (my girls were 4 and almost 3 - this was the first time they asked) we bought them off a kiosk the first night we were there, used them every night and brought them with us again this year. What's funny is that they only asked for them once and didn't ask for something new. Whew! At $15 a pop, I wasn't really willing to shell it out again. LOL

I got DD9 the new customizable ones last year- I think she has a lime green hat w/ pink furry ears or some such nonsense. I'm planning on returning with the hat and letting her pick another set of ears. DS6 likes the idea of ears..but never actually wears his..so I'm bringing a few sets of old ones and pretending like they're new- he'll never know!!:rolleyes1

They didn't have the customizable ones when we were there, that looks so neat. I think my girls would love it especially the oldest one since they have an Ariel patch.

Maybe I'll bring my Minnie ear headband and a few tiara's and then let them each make one pair of custom ears while there.

Oh, a warning about the Minnie headbands. I have a few pair and the silver sequin ones actually acted like mirrors sunburning the back of my ears even with sun block. So if you or your little ones burn easy I would hold off on wearing these during the day and save them for the evening.

This is the first time for us to be there for MNSSHP. Does anyone know if they have any Halloween themed ears or headbands that they only sell around that time of year? We all have santa hats that we got last trip that get worn every Christmas now and we really enjoy them. I would love a Halloween themed Headband!

Also, when we were there last I saw a few people with gold sequin headbands and I looked everywhere for one but couldn't find them. Does anyone know where they were purchased?

Halloween themed ears would be neat! And where can you do the customized ones? I don't think they had those last time I was there.

Definitely take them each trip! I bought one my 1st trip there (6 years ago) and I take it for every Disney trip. It's the black velvetty headband with black Mickey ears and Ursula's purple crown (& it flashes red lights)- I don't think they make it anymore because I didn't see it on anybody the last time we went, and the time before that I only saw it one other person. :)

We ment to take them on our last trip but we forgot them. I was so bummed cuz my boys had gotten them as a birthday present. But one of my sons got the light up ones andthey are really so cute. We are going back in April and I hope I remember to pack them this time.

I need to buy the three kids mickey ears in March. How much should we plan on spending on a pair of ears.

I do remember seeing Halloween themed ear on our October 2008 trip. Can't remember exact styles, but I know I saw ears with candy corn on them and some that looked like spider web design.

The customizable designs were only at Le Chapeau ( or La Chapeau? ) in MK - on the right just before Main Street. Can't remember exact cost but they're more expensive than most ears. I want to say 5 or 6 dollars for the hat, $2 or $3 for each ear depending on style, and $1 for the patches. The ears snap on and can be changed- they don't even have to match each other.

I don't know if there available in the other parks yet, but I vagely remember that someplace at DDD has them also.

I know exactly what little hat shop you're talking about. I'll be sure to check them out. That sounds so neat!

I just got back from our Christmas/New Year Grand Gathering. My DD needed mouse ears, as the boys had theirs from previous trips. She got the Minnie one with her name embroidered, at Sir Mickey's (behind the castle) they were around $17 I think.

Good Luck!
