Has anyone been to these restaurants? What did you think of the atmosphere, food and service????

We are leaving in a couple of days and plan on eating at these places if they are worth it.

Thanks!

Just wondering if anyone has eaten at these places????

Thanks again in advance.

I haven't eaten at Motown, but I've heard it get great reviews. I'be been to NBA City before and it's very good. I LOVE THE RIBS AT NBA CITY. The atmosphere is a fun and friendly one, and the menu covers are made of actual basketball material. The food there is ver good and they have a play area. The last time I went, they were showing a Dolphins game, so you never know what will be on their screens.

Spideyhulk-

I have been to NBA City with my husband and son (8 years old at the time) and it is one of the few places we will revisit when we are down next month. If you and/or your travel mates like NBA basketball, this is a great place to spend a couple hours out of the Florida sun. I think you can see basketball games from every table in the place, though I recommend one of the tables along the rail upstairs. Tapes of great games were playing continuosly during our dinner. Sometimes they would do a spotlight of a player and show clips of that player's great plays. (The food is pretty good too!)

After our meal, we like to play in the game area (you will need to get a game card). We allow our son a set amount of money each day when we visit the parks and he spends most of it here. Sometimes we went to the game area even when we did not eat at NBA City.

There was a photo area when we were there where you can get some great shots with computer effects. The gift shop is a bit pricey, but we managed to spend money there as well!

Hope you have a great trip!:bounce:

We visited both of these restaurants last time we were at Universal and liked them both. We ended up at NBA city the night of the draft...so it was an exciting night there. Both are moderately priced and good, we will probably go back.

We tried NBA City two weeks ago and it was very good. Our waiter was very attentive on refilling our glasses (It had been a really hot day at the parks) and I had a mandarin chicken salad that was excellent! Hubby's burger was good and the kid's hot dogs were O.K. At USO we ran into an older gentleman who works at the park while he was on break and he told us that he thought that NBA City was one of the most reasonable for what you were given.

Hard Rock Cafe was another place we tried and it was comparable in food/price.

We had hoped to try Margaritaville but there was a 45 minute wait even with priority seating. When the hostess frowned at us, we moved on.

IMHO, Motown Cafe is a mere shadow of its former self. The food is lacklustre and being forced to eat above a noisy video arcade is not my idea of fine dining.

NBA City, OTOH, is a great restaurant. Good food, great service, great atmosphere.
