Every since I road the original Mission to Mars I get motion sickness easy. I can't ride anything that spins or even play first person video games. Should I try Soaring? Thanks....I really want to.

I have motion sickness problems and positional vertigo. On Mission: Space I felt the beginnings of a spell coming on so I closed my eyes. Soarin' didn't bother me at all! Good luck!

I have motion sickness issues.

I can ride Soarin but I have to close my eyes at the Aircraft carrier scene and the night time city scene with the cars.

.

Soarin was about as much as I could tolerate. It was great and it's my favorite, so that should tell u, lol
I do get more m.s. On Star Tours in HS

Star Tours looks cool but I'm terrified of it because of the motion sickness factor. :(

If I close my eyes during the scene with the cars at night, I am fine.

I agree can't do Star Tours at all!

Expedition Everest makes me sick when it goes backward.

Tea Cups no way!

Toy Story makes me sick if I don't close my eyes from scene to scene when it moves.

I think this is why I don't like thrill rides or rides like Star Tours.

My daughter tried Soarin once and that was it due to motion sickness. She also can't do 3-D movies.

I get queasy on some rides.....Soarin was not one of them. If you do, simply close your eyes. This is a great ride....don't miss it.

It's like a less intense IMAX film. You are actually moving little. Closing eyes or looking at the lights on the side of the screen can help if you need to get your bearings.

Mission:Space makes me feel like I'm going to die for the next two hours. Soarin' has never had a bad effect on me, and I've ridden it dozens of times (at DCA and then Epcot). It's a very, very gentle ride.

My first question would be how did you get to the parks. Soarin is no more active then riding in a car. No spinning, no actual movement except up initially, some side slant (very little) and down when the ride is done. If it's visual as it would almost have to be, close your eyes and you will be fine. It's very smooth, no sudden severe stops most all the movement is from the film.

Yeah, I'm with mikedoyleblogger. Trip before last I was pretty positive I was going to die on Mission Space - a weird mixture of intense motion sickness, panic attack, claustrophobia, crying/freakout. And I'm really not that person in real life. Anyways...I like Soarin, but once in awhile I have to close my eyes if I feel a little woozy.

I get motion sickness easily. I can ride Soarin once in a row. If I try to do it more than once I end up with a pretty bad head ache. It is usually the night time scene that bothers me the most. I have to close my eyes to avoid the dizzy feeling I get.

The strange part is that with simulations I usually can not do them at all and I can ride Star Tours a couple times in a row without any negative effects..

I am also the kind of person that has to take Bronnie before getting on the airplane or I will also get motion sickness on the flight. :confused3

I get car sick but I would not say the visual effect of Soarin is comparable to riding in a car.

Closing my eyes didn't help & actually made it a little worse. I had to look off to the side several times- which, of course, takes away from the experience.

If my MIL goes with us, I'm not sure that she should ride this.

First time I went on Mission Space felt the same way! Closed eyes and couldn't wait to get out of there. I tried it again this past trip and did pretty well knowing what to expect.
First time on Soarin felt dizzy ..like I was going to fall out..but closed eyes here and there..got used to it and now I love it..one if not my favorite. I highly suggest you try it.

I think it's a little queasy at partś. When I went, ride was shut down for a few minutes while CMs with buckets and mops went in. My DW found it very queasy. She said she had to look away from the screen.

It's not rough and it does not move much. I loved it. I think the queasy is because the movement is much less than the pictures on the screen show.

If you have motion sickness all you need to do is close your eyes. You aren't moving at all after the initial lift off.
