Mother's Day Weekend and the week after--how bad?

I know this has probably been asked and answered before but I can't get the search to work.


Looks like we may be going back May 13-21st. Mother's Day is May 14th. Will that have a major impact on us for Sunday and the week after? I assume we won't be able to get an ADR for Sunday anywhere at this point, but park wise will be okay?

good question!!
we'll be there the 12th-19th. I've been wondering the same thing.
There's still time for ADR's, you never know. The brunch, etc might be filled, but there are so many other nice places to eat.

My mother and I did Mother's Day and the following week 3 or 4 times since 2000. It's a great time to go, it's not very crowded. They have free mother's day pictures at Epcot, similiar to the MVMCP ones.

We go every 2 yrs at this time to Disney and have never had any trouble with crowds. On Mother's Day at Epcot every "Mom" is given a carnation, and you get a free picture with your family in Epcot. I think it is the best time to go. Weather is great too.

I was able to have my pick of times at Le Cellier for dinner a few weeks ago and that restaurant is usually the first to fill up. But I'd call ASAP to set up your ADRs for Mother's Day!!

I just made my ADRs last night for our trip 5-13 to 5-19. I didn't have any trouble--I got my 1st choice, even on Mother's Day, though we are not doing the Mother's Day brunch at Epcot. We decided to do the 50's Prime Time Cafe because that sounded like more fun. This is our family's first trip to WDW, none of us has ever been there. We are very excited, but in the meantime, we're gutting/remodeling our kitchen. Yuck! And I am not a microwave cook.

While a free flower and photo sounds great--it kind of sounds like maybe Epcot is the place to skip on Sunday! I think we will probably plan for AK or MGM that day!

Besides, I always prefer to !!!

I am going to be there too.....

May 8-16th....

Question I have is my kids are grown and not going to be with us on Mothers Day will I still get my free carnation and the Mothers Day Photo without their bodies with me.....

I took my 71 year old Mom last year on these dates. We had no trouble at all with crowds even though it was the week after the big kick-off for the celebration. Of course, we were not riding the attractions that usually have long lines. We did the Epcot Brunch--it was OK--something different to do, but I doubt we would do it again. After the brunch, we spent the afternoon in the WS and it did not seem crowded. I thought it was a great week to go!! It was my mom's first trip. She caught the magic!!

We'll be there...Caribbean Beach May 13-20th. We may change for May 11-20th.

We just made all of our ADR's (a dinner each night we're there) last week. I got everything I wanted for the time I wanted. Last night, I even called to change something & got the restaurant & time I wanted.

We were there last Mother's day and we enjoyed it so much we are going back again this year. We will be there May 10-17. We thought the crowd levels were low and the weather was great. This is now our favorite time to go to WDW.
