Hey guys! Just wondering what everyone had for their big dinner. :)

My hubby grilled filet mignons (rare of course :thumbsup2 ) with a reduced green peppercorn wine sauce, thai noodles with roasted red peppers and sesame seeds, baby brussel sprouts and creamed asparagus. :goodvibes

Next.....

The sweetpea is having me order pizza for my Mother's day dinner. Her choice of toppings and sides of course.

DH made ham, asparagus w/ cream sauce, scalloped potatoes, and dutch apple pie for dessert. I AM STUFFED! :thumbsup2

Edited to add: Everything was from scratch. :goodvibes

We went to my favorite... Panera Bread :rotfl: Yes-I had the option of anywhere, but I knew everything would be crowded and I just LOVE Panera Bread.... :)

We had Terriaki Chicken, diced potatoes with onion, Green beans, Carrots, dinner rolls & sliced peaches. There is cake and ice cream for later i'm too stuffed right now.

Was gonna take mom out, but decided to cook instead. We had pepper pot.

Well, I am cooking my own and DS10's dinner, DS23 is asleep (he worked last night).

Potatoes and fish on the grill and I'll nuke some Green Giant veggies here in about 5 minutes.

I am not a mother, but I cooked for my mom and grandmother. We had chicken and dressing (or stuffing, it's dressing for us), homegrown green beans, and oven roasted veggies. I made a whiskey cake for dessert.

We bought a 'Caramel Crunch' cake and had that with Mr.Big Ice cream in a cone (chocolate bar flavoured ice cream). Then my dad madde some delicious barbecue and we ate some meat, salad, and watermelon.

Pre cooked BBQ chicken and pre-made mashed potatoes, broccoli and DD wanted me to buy a little Mother's Day cake. Haven't had that yet!

We were originally going to EPCOT for Mother's Day brunch, and I am sooo glad I had second thoughts. DD was not in a great mood today and I've been happy to be at home!

We all descended on Cracker Barrel today.:) All 25 of us plus the newest baby. My uncles and aunts and cousins and a few great grandmothers, too. :teeth: We kept waiting for our call, *****Family of 500! :lmao: People kept coming around the corner and seeing our crowd and were backing up to leave. We had to tell several that we all were with one party.;)

Even though I am a mom, I cooked for my mom and dad today. It was a pleasure. We had sirloin roast, oven roasted potatoes, gravy (mom made this...no one else can make the gravy!), roasted brussels spouts and eggplant sticks. It was yummy.

We took my mom and MIL out for a nice dinner last night to avoid the crowds. Tonight DH and DS and I went out for pizza. As long as I didn't cook, I was happy.

DH just left a few minutes ago to pick up Chilis take-out. :) The kids ate earlier and are both in bed (DD is asleep but DS is still up trying to avoid actually sleeping). I am going to enjoy my dinner while watching the season finale of Survivor. :)

I just Googled and found this recipe. Oh boy, was it good!!! And so easy! :)

My mom, bro and Dad and my MIL came over for dinner. Baked a premade lasagna and made spaghetti with homemade marinara sauce (and meatballs on the side, but I don't like them so they don't touch my sauce). DH fixed bread with fresh garlic butter, and we thew together a salad. Marble cheesecake for dessert. My MIL drives my family crazy (high-pitched voice, lots of singing and going gaga over DD). I caught my brother putting a shot of whiskey in his soda from the liquor cabinet. It was so funny.

And you haven't posted it or pm'd me yet?! Get a move on woman! :p

We went to Carrabba's. I had the Lobster Ravioli and their signature dessert; Dessert Rosa!

Both were delicious!

Tee hee!! Here you go!

1 yellow cake mix, prepared as directed
½ cup raisins
½ cup chopped pecans
1 t. all-purpose flour
½ cup butter
½ cup sugar
½ cup whiskey

1. Preheat oven to 3350. Spray a bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.

2. In a small bowl, combine the raisins, pecans, and flour; mix until the raisins and pecans are thoroughly coated, then stir them into the cake batter. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 32-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

3. In a small saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, and whiskey and bring to a boil over medium high heat. Let boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Using a fork, poke holes into the top of the cake and pour the syrup over the cake. Let cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, the remove to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting.
