Mother, Daughter and Sausage Dining Review! Final Meal - Complete 9/27!!

The feeling was mutual

That is an awesome photo of Eilee sat ont he side of the fountain.

I am sorry I never really got a chance to speak to her properly. I hadn't realised she was such a fan of the UK and I thought she was incredibly shy which was why I never tried to push her to speak to me.

You shoud definitely start planning that trip over here, I would love to see you both again, meet Vince and have you meet the rest of my family :)

she was so strange that day - she's usually pretty darn outgoing but of course she chooses that time to be a grump!:confused3

I would absolultely love to plan a trip to the UK. After our Med cruise you know it's on our list!

The DISmeet sounds like it was such a great time! I'm so happy that it ended up working out. :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear about your DISmeet with Brenda too!! (though we heard a little bit about it that day I'm excited to hear more!)

so pleased to know that Eilee is obsessed with the UK ;)

Oh my goodness, you don't know what you've started! That London bag goes everywhere with her. A trip across the pond is definitely in store!

Just a shame we were missing you and Barb

I agree - how fun would that have been?? Next time I'll plan on spending more time with everyone!

The slushie stand sounds like an awesome place for a DISmeet! Even with all the F&W booths while I am there I still need to get the Grand Marnier slushie!! Mmmmm!!!

I'm so happy you all got to meet and to be honest, a tiny bit jealous! Wish I was there! ;)

It was so hot and we were all sweating up a storm so we decided to walk to Rose & Crown so we could get out of the heat and have a drink. Andrew went in to scout it out for us and we were able to stand in the bar area. It was so much fun and I have to say that I love these ladies and their families. I don't have a boy so I was expecting a teen boy to think it was weird with all of these ladies and he was charming and funny, such a nice young lad. And Miss Emily was as sweet as she looks and she is a tiny little thing! Eilee said "I love her style mom, her outfit is so cute". I wondered if Emily knew how much her mom is loved on this board but there can't be any doubt with all of us being so excited to meet her! :) I"m also pretty sure that Vince would think I was crazy for wanting to meet people that I know from the internet but the DHs were totally cool and joined in the fun!

Awwww, that is so nice of you to say! He is a really good kid! :)

Yes, our meet was fantastic! It felt like we had been friends forever! I hope to be able to meet all of you ladies again somewhere!

I am SOOOO VERY excited to read this update!!! I agree with the other ladies, it was so neat to meet everyone and their families. I can't stop saying how wonderful it was to actully meet everyone. And Eilee is so very beautiful!!!

Darn! I need to post some photos of us inside without my stupid sunglasses! doh!

Honestly, the Dismeets were the highlight of our trip - even Michael and Em agreed. And this was the SUPER Dismeet with 4 of us at one time!

And I absolutely agree that Andrew (GoofySon'sMom's actual son) was a wonderful young man who had no complaints hanging around the adults. In fact, he is such an intelligent and well spoken young man.

Thanks for sharing this special update!

ha....us brits get everywhere;)

lovely to see a trans atlantic meet, i ve only done UK dismeets... may have to plan a different style..

and your daughter is soo beautiful:thumbsup2

Best place for a DISmeet ever! I love the Grey Goose slushy so much that I've never gotten around to trying the Grand Marnier one yet. But I've heard it's great!

Love the pictures from your DISmeet! Looks like a great group! :thumbsup2

It really was a great group. Very fun!

I'm so happy you all got to meet and to be honest, a tiny bit jealous! Wish I was there! ;)

We wish you were there too. I just wish we could all go at the same time!

Awww...thanks Joh! I would have loved to have been there with you all, and I most definitely would have had one of those slushies in my hand too. :goodvibes What a great group!!! I would like to meet each and every one of you, but all 4 of you together and I would have been in DIS heaven! :cloud9:

A gigantic dining review board meet...count me in! :thumbsup2 But yes, I'm not too far away. Just the entire state of Wisconsin (your home state) in between us. :lmao: But hey, at least there are no mountains, desserts, or oceans between us. ;)

LOL!!!:rotfl2: The sausage is famous!!! The pix of ur dismeet are so cute!!! What a blast that would be to get to meet everyone!!!!!! :rotfl:

After our DISmeet and riding Soarin' Eilee and I needed another drink (non-alcoholic this time so Eilee could share) so we grabbed a Mango Green Tea frozen drink.

At first I thought that it was a little too sweet for me but after a few sips it got better and we both thought it was refreshing.

We'd spent quite a bit of time at Epcot by this time so we decided to hit MK. I was secretly hoping that we'd stay long enough at Epcot to be hungry again so we could walk over to Beaches & Cream. Before this trip I'd known that I wanted to have a burger and a No Way Jose. But it wasn't meant to be tonight.

We went to MK, went on rides and did some shopping. It was getting late and neither of us was very hungry. The heat really does a number on my appetite. I'm either not hungry or I'm not hungry for the things that I'd planned to eat (like a Nutella Waffle for example). So I figured that we'd get to try out the POR food court. It was right after Wishes and everyone had the same idea that we did. By the time we got to the food court it was PACKED, not just a little packed but insane ridiculous packed. The lines at every station were so long and we were too tired to wait and I also wasn't super hungry. So this is what we ended up with.
DSC00662_640x425_.jpg

Yogurt, veggies & dip and apple juice out of the cooler. Yes, this is a fine healthy snack but I didn't come to Disney for healthy. I came to Disney to eat! :rotfl2: At home it would be acceptable but not at WDW! I'd gotten Eilee two more of those strudel pastries for breakfast and left them in the room when I went alone to MK and she had one left so she ate that and I got her a chocolate milk. As soon as we got to the room I wished that I would have just waited in line. But anyway, these items tasted just as you'd expect them to taste, pretty good.

I also took this picture of the castle that evening that I really like for some reason. The clouds look so ominous!

CRT coming right up!!

After the lack of a real dinner last night we were very excited for a big meal at CRT!! We woke up early and made our way back to MK. It was an extra magic hours morning and we made it in time for Eilee to experience a rope drop! We went over to ride Space Mountain and to also get a fast pass for after breakfast. As we were walking towards the castle I heard someone saying my name. I turned around and it was Brenda (emmysmommy), Emily and her DH Michael...in a Packers shirt!! I knew that they had an ADR around the same time and I figured that we would see them at some point but it was nice to run into them outside!:) Brenda even offered to take our photo in front of the castle.
DSC00667_640x425_.jpg

So we walked in together and got to chat while we were waiting. Emily was telling us about their last trip and that she had the stuffed french toast and that she didn't really enjoy it. I made a mental note to try something else! The computer systems were down and it took them a minute to find our reservations but not too long. We went inside the castle and got our photo taken with Cinderella. I'm not going to post this because it didn't turn out very well. Very strange lighting. Eilee and I both have very dark hair and the shadows made us both look like we had bouffant hairdos! You've probably already noticed that I have giant hair, especially in the humidity and the photo made it look even more gigantic. Perhaps I'll post it later so you can see what I'm talking about.

I'd seen a photo from Brenda's previous dining report where Emily was on the red spiral stairs so I made Eilee stop to pose for me as well because Emily looked so cute there!

When we arrived at our table we found our wands and wishing stars!
DSC00678_640x425_.jpg

I took a photo of the room as soon as we sat down. The princesses were already circulating and you can see Belle in the background.
DSC00679_640x425_.jpg

This was our first time eating at CRT and it was beautiful. Eilee kept saying that she couldn't believe we were really eating here. I'm so glad that she got into it. When both of us were excited about being there, it made the experience so much more magical.

Our server was very efficient, not overly friendly but he did a great job so that works for us! He brought us this lovely plate of pastries.
DSC00681_640x425_.jpg

I think we tried a little bit of everything on this plate and we thought everything tasted very fresh. Eilee especially liked the little cinnamon rolls. I wasn't really in the mood for biscuits but there was a little cup of butter and I had to eat it with something! You can't let perfectly good butter go to waste.

Soon the princesses started making their way around to see us! My first few photos turned out to be very crappy because I took them with the windows in the background and we were all washed out. Like this
DSC00683_640x425_.jpg

Can you see a familiar face in the background??? Someone who looks like she is taking a photo of her food? ;)

After a while I figured out that I should turn towards the wall!

DSC00692_640x425_.jpg

For our main portion of the meal, I ordered the Traditional Breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon & rosemary lemon potatoes.
DSC00685_640x425_.jpg

Honestly, I'm not very hard to please. I like eggs, I like sausage & bacon. I was a little worried about the potatoes because I do not like rosemary at all. But I thought these potatoes were very tasty! There was very little rosemary so I couldn't really taste it. Our eggs were very hot and fluffy and the bacon was good too. Eilee stole my sausage so I can't comment on that!

When it came time for Eilee to order she got...
DSC00687_640x425_.jpg

The stuffed french toast! After a few bites she looked disappointed and said "I wish I would have listened to Emily. I don't like this very much". I asked her if it would be better with some syrup and she said yes. So I asked and our server brought us a little cup of syrup. Eilee said that made it less dry but once she got to the cream cheese part in the middle she said it was now much better. I also told her to throw some butter on it because butter makes everything better. I took a taste and agreed that the texture was a bit odd/dry but the cream cheese, butter and syrup helped a lot! She ended up enjoying it in the end and ate quite a bit.

And then they had the wishing ceremony! It was cute and I wished to win the lottery so we could come back again in October when my friend Lisa will be there! :lmao: Here is Eilee with her wand!
DSC00691_640x425_.jpg

I think you can see the guest star in the back ground again making her wish! pixiedust:

We finished up our meal and headed back downstairs. They say that you don't pay for the food here, it's the experience. I think I don't care what it was because we had so much fun and we even liked our food! Our first meal here had us in awe of the castle and seeing the princesses. I was glad that even as adults we were given the wishing stars and wands. We enjoyed feeling like excited little kids! And having fun with my girl was worth it.

This meal gets an Aaron Rodgers rating just for being fun (I should have given Les Chefs an Aaron Rodgers rating too. I might just have to go back to add that in).

Up next California Grill will it rate an Aaron Rodgers?:confused3

LOL!!!:rotfl2: The sausage is famous!!! The pix of ur dismeet are so cute!!! What a blast that would be to get to meet everyone!!!!!! :rotfl:

I can't wait to take the Sausage to the Mediterranean! :lmao:

LOL!!! :rotfl2: If you look pregnant I'm having twins!!! Skinny Minnie!!
My shirt was just puffed out in a weird way! It kept riding up all day and I'd have to pull it down. I'll remember not to wear that when I'm walking around for any length of time!:rotfl:
